Rocco does excellent work. I got a jacket’s back adjusted and taken in at the sides for $ 35. I’ve also brought in pants to hem and a shirt to slim down; each was expertly tailored. The place feels like a workshop rather than a gleaming showroom, or even a seamstress’ dry cleaners. Yes, there are fragments of loose threads that might cling to your garment. Yes, the changing stalls have burlap curtains. Yes, it’s a little cluttered. I don’t mind – it adds to the old-school ambience. I was looking for tailor with decades of experience, particularly with menswear(although he said he first started altering women’s garments), convenient location, and reasonable rates.

Rocco is one of the finest tailors you will ever find. I would not think of bringing my clothes anywhere else,

If you want an old time Italian tailor this is the place for you! If you want a young hip joint, move along. I love this guy everything is done well and on time.

Don’t go here. - The place hasn’t been cleaned since 1948. There’s a jar of old pins in the corner with cobwebs surrounding it and giant dead bugs by the window. They’re probably older than me. The«dressing rooms» are pathetic, and have like a potato-sack cloth covering the doorway. The old guy who works here is nice enough, but doesn’t do good work and charges WAYYYY too much for what he does do. I don’t know why I went here again. The last time he screwed up my jeans. I’m sure he’ll ruin the simple job I gave him this time too. There’s just so much garbage lying around. This place needs a serious cleaning and update. I’d help him out, but he’s a crap tailor to begin with, so why bother? I hope this place closes soon. DON’T GO.
