If you like loads of toppings on your pizza like I do, go to Benny’s. When I saw that Benny’s wasn’t getting enough love on Unilocal,I had to share my review. They sell by the slice and there are usually many different kinds to choose from in the case. I highly recommend the White Broccoli with Ricotta, the Philly Cheesesteak, Buffalo Chicken, or BBQ Chicken slices. I’ve had the mushroom slice, too, and it’s pretty good. The amount of chicken they fit on the pizza is absurd, really. I’ve never seen any other pizza joint with the amount of toppings they fit onto their slices. I’ll try to post a picture so that you can get the full effect. My boyfriend usually sends me pictures of the slices when I’m out of town to torture me, so I’m sure I have one somewhere. Sometimes the White Broccoli with Ricotta is a little underdone, but I simply place it in my oven for a few minutes and it is 10x better when the crust is a little crisp because the ricotta can soften the crust up a little too much. I’ve never had a bad experience like some of the other reviewers and I can be pretty picky.

Ordered a tasty and fresh chicken parmigiana pizza as well as 3 samplers which was ready in 15 minutes. The food fed four hungry adults and a child and we were more than satisfied for the price!

This is the absolute best pizza I have had in my life. I literally drive 6 hours from Maryland about 4 times a year to have pizza here. From the classic pizzeria atmosphere, all the way to the delicious creations crafted there, this is by far the best pizza money can buy!

Tonight was a special night for our family. We had a very special evening. Tonight we picked out the perfect tree… we found it in Stone Ridge. This has nothing to do with Unilocal or food until the crew proclaimed…“were starving”, so I pulled into a pizza place called«Bennys Pizzeria»! Let me just say«a perfect ending to a perfect day. As soon as you get into the door we were met with hot apple cider, fresh cider donuts and cookies. The kids couldn’t wait. The sign said help yourself and they did. It reminded me of how we use to visit house to house for the holidays back in the day. Did I mention this was all free, yes i said free? UNBELIEVABLE! Patrons inside say this is typical Bennys, he does this with candy apples, cannoli’s, and chocolate covered strawberries, depending on the season. We finally made our way up to the counter to place our order. Now almost completely full on cider and donuts the kids ordered a chicken parmigiano sub to split. My wife and I ordered two slices and fried calamari. The order took a little while to get. When the chicken parm arrived I thought they were kidding, it was so huge we all could have shared it. The sauce was fresh and just the right color and the chicken was tender and juicy with a great crunch. Our pizza slices were incredible and also a dinner in themselves. The Calamari was tender and cooked to perfection. Looking forward to the next trip back to Stone Ridge, if for nothing but just to eat at Bennys. Thank you from one full satisfied family

I have been to Benny’s many times over the last 20 years and have yet to have a negative experience. Their pizza is outstanding and loaded with toppings. The food is made fresh and is second to none. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to satisfy. There are at least two other pizzerias in the area, but none can compare. For those who left bad reviews, you live to complain and are unworthy to consume the delicacies they prepare and serve.

Best damn specialty pizzas in New York. An entire chicken breast per slice along with full strips of bacon on the chicken bacon ranch pizza. Amazing. A must try.

Best pizza in the upstate region! As a Brooklyn born and raised Italian, I can honestly say this is by far the best. Any of the redneck hillbillies that wrote reviews stating otherwise have no idea what pizza is supposed to taste like. They also need to realize that when you order a pie with fresh mozzarella, you are going to wind up with a wet soggy pie when you put it in a box for delivery. Fresh mozzarella releases a lot of water when it’s cooked. Get a clue people and get off your ass and to have a fresh pie in the store… That’s how it’s meant to be.

As a child, I regularly went with my mother to get pizza here, and Benny has always been a generous community member and business owner. Benny’s Pizzeria has made every pizza since moving out of the area a huge letdown. To this day, I look forward to coming home and ordering a pie to eat with friends and family. The pies are a little pricier than other places, but the quality more than makes up for it. Great flavor and topping options make this the place to go for pizza(and don’t forget the garlic knots). I would describe their style as thin crust, but not particularly crispy. The toppings make these pizzas, even if you’re just ordering cheese.

The worst pizza you can find in NY… the pizza was so soggy that the base of the box was wet by the time the pizza was delivered. .better buy some fruits than order from this place…

The only reason I order pizza here is because I am too tired to cook for myself and don’t have food in the house. It is the only pizza place in town and only restaurant that delivers. In my most recent experience I waited 2 hours for the delivery of a pizza and I only live 4 miles down the road. The level of incompetence is astounding. If the owner was not a well known and upstanding member of the community, I would probably never patronize the place.

I would never ever support this restaurant in any way after today. I come to a hotel in the area several times a year and this is the only place that delivers there. That’s where all the good things I have to say about this place end. They claim not to take credit cards, kept trying to charge us more than the prices listed on their menu, were incredibly rude, and on top of it all the food isn’t that great. They royally botched up French fries today. Really? Not like it takes a rocket scientist to get that one right. And to the reviewer who compared it to NYC pizza — you have clearly never lived in, or gone to NYC at all because their pizza is nothing short of a greasy slippery crime against pizza everywhere. I’d rather starve than give them another penny.

Very unpleasant service here! When we first started coming we wondered if we were just catching them on a bad day. But after repeatedly rude encounters, it’s clear that general politeness is not to be found around here. The pizza’s themselves are always sloppy and swimming in watery juice(both GF and regular, but especially the GF). It’s a pity.

Perfect for a slice on the go, with a little terrace outside(but by the road so not super relaxing). Good dough, NY style pizza. Garlic knots are yummy too and nice service at the counter. Been back a couple of times already and it is worth it.

This place is a great local place for NYC style. They use fresh ingredients to give their pizza a great taste. It is a family operated and owned. I have had the regular, meat supreme, and country. All were great.
