This place has nasty food and not an african in site doing any cooking. Looks like someone else not in their lane trying to just capitalize off an opportunity. I ordered the jollof rice and i can tell it was not authentic. It was thrown together. Nothing but white rice and mixed vegetables with some tomato sauce thrown in. An african gentleman sitting next to me ordered the fufu. It actually looked good. Should have gotten that. I sat next to him and his friend and I commented that I’ve had jollof rice cooked by actual africans in their home and that what I was given did not look or taste anything like what jollof rice was supposed to be. They agreed with me that jollof rice should be dry and not overtly moist and almost soupy in texture. I was about to just throw it away but one of them ate it for me. A sistah came in and ordered something and it looked like regular white rice and some sort of greens. I was hoping to finally find some authentic jollof rice and african food, but sadly i didn’t. I’m so tired of people making false claims and trying to take advantage of someone’s ignorance. Newsflash, not all americans are ignorant. Many of us have travelled and we know when you’re serving up the real thing or just trying to take advantage of what you think we’re not aware of. This place does not deserve to call itself an african restaurant.

Great East African place! I don’t write a lot of reviews but this place deserves some recognition. Randomly found this place when on I-285 and was looking for some place better than Applebee’s. What a great find! We got the goat sautéed which comes with a huge plate of rice(the rice is also very flavorful) and left very full and happy. Next time we drive by this place will get another visit!
