I’ve been going to this Hobby Lobby for years. I’m not a crafty person but every now and then, I want to do a DIY project. Hobby Lobby has a lot of nice arts and crafts items too. My daughter loves painting and drawing and gets the quality products here. If you go to their website or sign up and be on their e-mail list, you will get notified of great sales and get a 40% off one originally priced item. The staff is always friendly when I go. When the lines are getting backed up, they will always open another register to check you out.

Lord Have Mercy, but how I hate it when my wife drags me into these crafty type stores. I usually spend a good 30 mins while she shops, being assaulted by all kinds of agonizing aromas and being left to play like I’m interested in browsing through racks of silk flowers and crafty projects. Much to my surprise, when I was dragged(kicking and screaming) into this Hobby Lobby I actually had a good experience shopping. Truth be told — I bought more than she did. The store itself is super organized. Its not all«crafty» stuff but actually has some nice home goods. The staff here is super friendly, efficient, and courteous. Prices are simply great. I bought some items for the house and my office and actually left with a smile on my face.(Extra kudos to Hobby Lobby for having plenty of human cashiers). Skip the painful experience at Michaels and head to Hobby Lobby. From now on when my wife says that she wants to stop at Hobby Lobby — I won’t put up such a fuss…

It’s just your average hobby lobby. Nothing special. But the main thing that really stood out was not a single employee on the floor that could help us. I wanted a few yards of fabric, so I rung the bell… over and over…10−15 minutes gone by… nope. still no sign of any help coming our way. So forget it. You can keep your fabric. I grabbed an item before finally checking out. Got to the cashier, & no greeting, no facial expression, no thank you, no you’re welcome. Seriously, customer service is obviously not your best. I would most definitely not be coming back to this location.

I seldom visit Hobby Lobby for several reasons… 1. None of my hobbies are craft related. 2. I hate the smell of eucalyptus. 3. I don’t like going to the suburbs. With that being said, Hobby Lobby is a necessary evil around Christmas time. We go here to stock up on glass balls to replace the broken ones from the year before, wrapping paper, boxes, and sometimes other made in China Christmas items. Each year, the Christmas items are marked down to 50% off and you can really get some good deals to meet your decorating needs. I have never purchased anything from Hobby Lobby any other time of the year, but I will admit it is a huge store and it seems they would have just about any kind of crafty item you are seeking.

I discovered this wonderful chain when I lived in Nashville, so I’m very excited to find one not too horribly far from where I live! Better than Michaels in the décor department. That’s why it’s so amazing, it just has so much for the crafty individual! In fact, it’s dangerous for your wallet unless you have better resolve than I do.

GOTOMICHAELS! There is one right up the street from this store and well worth the trip. They have so many craft items that Hobby Lobby doesn’t offer and for less! PLUS there are actually people working in Michaels that are pleasant and knowledgeable crafters who can answer questions! And there is more than one person working the whole store! In fact there are several! Go there you will be glad you did. I guess it pays to pay your help and provide good insurance, another thing Hobby Lobby doesn’t do!

WARNING: YARNPR0N Despite being Dead Butch in many respects, I have a bunch of old ladyish hobbies. I also have(maybe) enough yarn. So what brought me to Hobby Lobby? I had seen an awesome pattern for a tatted mask that I couldn’t make for the Unilocal Masquerade because I didn’t have any tatting needles(seriously; they are a thing). Where is the only place in town that seems to carry tatting needles? That would be Hobby Lobby. Not only did I find the promised tatting needles(seriously, I near about screamed), there were acres of cheap, sexy yarn. A big, well-organized display of sock yarn, complete with some clearance sock yarn for good measure? Oh my, yes. Five hundred yards of mohair-blend laceweight yarn for $ 6? You might not think that is a thing, but ITISTOTALLY A THING. Long story short, Hobby Lobby is a great place for the knitter who is both poor and picky. It is also great for tatters, because they apparently have nowhere else to go.

Custom framing is ridiculously expensive, so I love it when Hobby Lobby offers regular half-price custom framing deals. I recently dropped a poster off two weeks before Christmas and got it back in time for a holiday gift exchange with my beau. The woman who helped me pick out a frame in my price range was friendly and non-condescending, unlike the elitist who I recently encountered at Michaels. I would’ve liked to have had non-glare glass placed on the piece but was appalled to discover that it costs twice as much as regular UV glass. I am happy with Hobby Lobby’s custom framing services: the most affordable by FAR.
