Store is clean and everything faced which is nice. Service clerks and cashiers were nice and prompt. Was excited to see ROOTBEERMILK! I haven’t seen any place carry it since consentinos in San Jose and that was 14 years ago. Asked to order at least 6 can’t wait for them to come in. If give never tried it: DO

Since I’ve moved up north I’ve been coming to this place. It’s close to home so I didn’t have much choice. I shop here a lot… I’ve got boys at home and since we get a lot of out of town visitors I constantly need supplies. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I must say they are friendlier than my old Redondo Beach grocery store. They always ask if I need help out and even the newer employees(which look mostly like high school kids) are polite and have a smile on their face. I very much appreciate that. I’m happy overall with the exception of one employee who was a little rude one day I think her name was Angelica. I was especially annoyed because I never gave her any provocation for her attitude. I also work with the public and understand everyone has bad days sometimes and will assume that’s all it was. I was approached by her recently and I must say her attitude was much better. I didn’t give it five stars because of that one day. So please remember, customer service is everything!!!

Great customer service. My husband and I were traveling from Texas and we were thankful to find a place that had good customer service and everything we needed. To get in and out, it was quick. Also didn’t have to wait in a long line to check out. Biggest problem — California, what is the deal with your produce prices? In Texas, a Californian pineapple is about 99 cents on avg. But in California, the pineapple was $ 3.99. The same goes for the rest of produce I saw at S-Mart and other stores. Cali, I think you’re getting ripped off!

I went here all the time because it close to my house. I have no problem with them whatsoever. Great customer service. Forgot my purse twice and got it back twice. I don’t think this place is as bad as everyone said.

I like coming to this store, its in and out not a long line. The clerks here are very nice and helpful. its in between 2 other grocery stores, which those store do have better prices, but this smart food has better produce and I don’t have to wait 30 mins in line just to pay for 3 or 4 items. They do have 2 red boxes here.

Just moved here from southern California and tried this place for the hell of it. The store smells like old meat and the prices seem high for what it is. Wont be shopping there again. Reminds of Stater Brothers and I never shopped there either for the same reasons! I will be sticking to Raleys and Safeway from here on out.

For years I’ve had reasonably good service at this S-Mart, but today was awful. I bought some chicken and produce, along with a few other things, and when I got home, I saw that the courtesy clerk who bagged my groceries put the produce on the bottom of the bag with two packages of leaking chicken ONTOP of the produce. Yeah, I know that packages of meat sometimes leak, and that’s no big deal, but a bagger should know better than to(a) put raw meat into the same bag as fresh produce; and(b) put raw meat ONTOP of fresh produce. I called the store to register a complaint, and when I explained the problem to person who answered the phone(not sure if it was a manager or not), she didn’t seem to care that the chicken juices had contaminated the produce. All she said was, «Oh, thanks. I’ll let them know.» Poorly trained staff and rotten customer service. It may be a while before I come back. P. S. I wasn’t terribly impressed by the chicken, either. I bought a package of six leg quarters, and when I opened it up at home, three of the six had broken legs! Exactly who is their supplier… Goodfellas Poultry Whacking and Packing?

This store is on two main streets(March Ln & West Ln) kind of tucked in the corner. Don’t get me wrong, it can get busy but the majority of the time there are just enough customers to keep the workers on their toes. The workers really show they care when you walk in, if they see you in the aisle, and after you have paid

These stores all manage to have tasteless bakery goods. I didn’t know sugar could be tasteless. I give them credit for good fruit. The s marts are some kind of twilight zone throw back to Aunt Bee’s time when people wrote checks. I was waiting in line an and an older woman was taking her time getting out the checkbook, totaling something, then starting to write the check, I thought. A good 7 to 10 seconds went by before I asked, «What are you still writing?» «If you’re journaling, how about over there where the chair is.» None of that worked, but other people laughed so that helped.

I used to love to shop here, but lately I’m very frustrated with this place. Not only do they appear to have unhappy employees who never seem to smile anymore but they usually only have one register open. My biggest concern is expired items or getting ready to expire items on the shelf. After accidentally purchasing one or two expired items I feel like now I have to watch out for this. I never had to do this before damnit@! Moldy veggies. They used to have the best produce, now it looks second rate wth? I used to love to stop at the deli and pick up lunch meat, potato/macaroni/pasta salads. Now you’re lucky if you can get anyone to help you. This isn’t the person working the deli’s fault, they just have to maintain the other side too and this appears to give them an attitude, and don’t you dare bother them if they are taking a break, you will get a look that could send you into yesterday. The other stores seem to be ok, guess they haven’t scared enough customers away so the products are moving off the shelf fast enough, which means I have to travel a lil bit further to be happy. Oh well, not like we don’t have enough grocery stores in this town. Beware what you buy here, check the dates carefully.
