This is the best Filipino I have had so far. The food was fresh, used fresh ingredients and I love having it buffet style. Service was good and friendly. I will come back here.

My boyfriend and I stopped by for the lunch buffet because I wanted to check out the Filipino food scene in Stockton. We both didn’t love the pork adobo, but I liked the chicken afritada. Both the pancits were great! Their kale and cilantro salad was excellent as well. Boyfriend says the honey sesame garlic chicken(breaded and fried) is the best. Glad to support a family establishment anyway, Filipino Catholic family, to be specific. Tasted like a hearty meal in some auntie’s home :) I don’t know if we’d eat here again, but it was worth the $ 7.99/person with the free drink that comes it’s a Unilocal check-in! Salamat Po — customer service was great regardless.

I came here to see the place and taste the food as I was looking for a great Filipino dining around this area. Location: Is okay, it is in downtown so parking is hard, always full and it’s a metered parking. The interior — is good, quiet and clean. Customer Service — is great, the owner and her daughter were accommodating. The only server I saw, a young man, was polite and attentive. Price — is okay The food– For me, it’s «So so.» My parents are great cooks and so am I, so I am quite particular to the taste of the food. I believe that if someone doesn’t cook at all, everything will taste good(not to mention that Filipino dishes are naturally good anyway, but if you are used to great tasting Filipino dishes and you can also cook, you will easily know the difference. I looked at the food on the table and I only picked the following dishes:. 1) The mussels dish was just okay, ordinary taste and nothing special. 2) Sesame Chicken — Is okay, nothing special. 3) Pansit — okay, nothing special. 4) The Lechon Kawali was so dry — Of course, it supposed to be crunchy on the outside and it was, but supposed to be moist in the inside, but it was very dry. The taste was also very bland. 5) The Fried Rice was the worst! — The taste was very bland, very tasteless. The texture of the rice was also very tiny and it seemed like the steamed rice used was previously refrigerated, or old(but not spoiled) then used for fried rice. Missing a lot of good spices for flavor and the rice texture itself was very bad. For those who are not familiar on Filipino dishes — This place’s dishes may all seem just right and everything will taste good. Filipino dishes are naturally good. But for those who know and know how to cook or have parents that cook well, the difference can be easily spotted. I will probably try this place again to see the improvement and to try other dishes I didn’t try and will update. Reviews are meant for improvement.

I have to compliment joel for being in the wrong place. I arrived here at 12 thinking it would be packed. I was greeted pleasantly. At first glance it seemed the variety of buffet would be a problem… Not so! The taro root in coconut milk!!! wow… Barbecue pork… A variation from the chinese style red … I enjoyed and went back. Veggies crisp and cooked just right. But the taro leaves… again wow! Only downside… Now you know it is good food and favorably priced. (Had to edit… just tried the corn pie!) CORNPIE!!! I LOVECORNPIENOW!!!

Street metered parking Looks like a family establishment. Workers are nice. They accept credit cards I had their sunday brunch buffet which was okay. $ 9.99. Drink not included, although when they seat you, they will ask you what you want to drink. No menu of prices! There was a large assortment of food: kare kare, chicken adobo, rice, garlic rice, beef stik, pancit palabok, arroz caldo, etc. Dessert: turon, make your own halo halo– no ice cream Although they tried to keep their food warm, it wasn’t. The rice tasted old and hard. I was not impressed and I won’t be coming back.

Great variety. Good food with plenty of selection. Send off for a co-worker on his last day of 18 years of service. We came as a big group and we were accommodated immediately even on a Friday

I can here for the first time with my boyfriend to try out the lunch buffet and I was extremely satisfied. The food tasted like fresh homemade Filipino food which I enjoyed. I do not eat Filipino food often, so this was a good meal to enjoy and try out. Overall, I Would def recommend this place!

Disregard Joel’s review. Apparently he was somewhere out in left field with his comments. If Red Orchid resembled any of his comments, they would be closed by now. I’m Glad to report that Red Orchid is doing well. So well in fact that on our visit today, they are Packed! Food is better than ever and the menu is always changing. I think it’s their trick to keep me coming back! Whatever the trick is, it sure is working. Best Filipino buffet in town! Did I mention it’s also the best deal in town.

This place is Stocktons best kept secret. The food was was fresh and delicious. I could not believe just how delicious the fish was. The people were friendly but not great from a service standpoint. In fairness, it was a lunch buffet so there is on so much I would expect but more attentive service would kick this place to the next level. The lunch buffet was moderately price so overall I had a good experience and would recommend.

I love this place! I wished it was closer to Roseville. Sadly we have to drive hours to get to a good Filipino restaurant. This place had lots of character and the staff is amazing. It was like being home with family in Los Angeles and coming over for a get together. The food tasted so good like it was homemade with love. My husband and I are coming back for sure. The art gallery was a hit too since we are comic geeks!

Came here on a Tuesday to try out their lunch buffet. This was the only time I would be able to since I work across town and was off for the day. Note to owners: Have the lunch buffet on Saturday mornings for people who can’t make it on M-F. Read reviews about this place and it definitely held up to most of the reviews standards. We came in and I read the sign to seat yourself. Of course we sat at a table where it was wobbly. I used the restroom and the floors were a little sticky. That’s why I –1 star for those two in inconvenient things. The server was super nice and explained to us how things worked in there. Self serve buffet was option 1 or you may order off the menu, option 2. All three people in my party opt for option 1 because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We loved the tofu with eggplant dish. They had a few meat choices and vegetables just enough to get everyone full. We would definitely be back for the $ 6.99 buffet to try other things since the buffet menu changes daily. Wish they had lumpia when I was there, but that’s okay. We were able to fulfill our filipino cravings that day. Oh and if you check in, free soft drink!!! :)

Just stopped by this place for a later lunch. We got there around 2:10, and the lunch buffet was already packed up. Not a problem though, we were still able to order the lunch specials. We both got a lunch plate w salad, white rice, pancit and lumpia plus choice of a meat. The lady got the pork adobo and I got the pork BBQ(they were out of chicken at this point). I think my BBQ was better, it was absolutely delicious. My only gripe was that the meat was too fatty for my liking but I still ate it. The lady liked her pork adobo, Im just not one for gravy. The pancit was delicious as was the lumpia, homemade and very crisp. Not a fan of the rice, it was too dry for my liking. Each lunch was $ 6.25 so our total was around $ 13 for a sit-down lunch date :)

So, I’ve tried this place for the first time with my Dad. We came during lunch hour and they had a buffet. It was 8.99/person, which was really cheap for what they served. I tried the adobo, lechon kawali, dinuguan, pansit, lumpia, pork BBQ, and seaweed salad, which were all tasty. Also, tried their desserts, such as halo-halo, fresh pineapple, and watermelon. This place is located in downtown Stockton close Stockton PD and courthouse, which is not really the good side of town but will still come back: D because the food is good.

I’m not a big filipino food lover, even though I’m filipino myself however, their food was great! Even though it was buffet style, all of the food tasted fairly fresh. What I really loved was the kare-kare and the bagoong. Their lumpi was nice and crispy, and their adobo fried rice was very tasty! What topped it all was their fresh and crispy lechon! This is a place worth going to their Biko Biko was a plus!
