This is both of my daughter’s dentist. The front desk assistant is very nice with a good sense of humor. So far for all of their appointments they have been well taken care of. The dentist if very friendly. Yes it isn’t the best looking establishment but it’s really not about that to me, it’s about how they make my children feel and how i feel when we walk into that door and always leaving happy.

Not the best experience. Pushy on referring me for braces. I suspect he gets a commission. Recommended i have a crown replaced that was unnecessary. I dont believe this doctor has my best interest in mind.

I recently took my younger brothers in for teeth cleaning and will make sure they do not return to this establishment for future services. The male assistant at the front desk was OK. He is sorta slow. We showed up 5 minutes early for the appointments but did not get seen until after waiting for about 30 mins. As we waited, I noticed the assistant was busy conversing with someone who seem to be his friend that had popped in. The friend was talking about his trip to Asia and how he met a 30 years his junior. The receptionist was so involved in the conversation that it caused a delay in processing our paperwork which is totally unprofessional. The ceiling had brown residue from water leaks, dirty carpets and smelled like food. The place did not feel nor seem clean for a dentist office. I left my brothers at the clinic to do some errands and told them to give me feedback about this establishment so that we could evaluate whether or not this would be a good dentist for them. In my opinion, having your teeth worked on is pretty nerve racking, and can be painful, so having the good dentist is important. After approximately 30 minutes, I received a text from one of my brother that they were done. Which was odd since from what I remembered, my teeth cleaning took at least 30 minutes. and both of them were all done? When I picked up my brothers, they stated that the dentist was nice and gentle, but the female assistant was very rough with their teeth. Only my youngest brother had his teeth cleaned and boy I wished we never came here. ALL of his gums were swollen and STILLBLEEDING when I picked him up! He stated the assistant never asked how he was feeling, whether there were any discomforts and was kinda scary. My other brother did not get his teeth cleaned because he needed a something done, which wasn’t clear to me still, but they didn’t discovered that until they started cleaning one of his tooth, and his gums were bleeding also because of that. I have pretty high standards when choosing a dentist. When I compare this establishment to my dentist in Sunnyvale, CA. this place is horrible.

My main dentist and a good one to boot! Avoid the wait by calling in for an appointment. At this dentist, he has two dental assistants and the guy dental assistant mainly does the x-rays and handles pretty much all appointments and insurance related stuff. The female is the main assistant whenever Dr. Laurent Vien is operating. I went to him when I had to get fillings for my cavities and in my opinion, he was very nice and had his jokes. He went over what he was going to do before doing it and made up a signal I would do just in case I would feel any pain(Of course I didn’t my mouth was numb!) First he injected the numbing thing into my gums and the side of my tongue and let me sit there for a few minutes to make sure I couldn’t feel a thing. Then he started by drilling down and all that wonderful stuff. Even though I couldn’t feel it, I could definitely hear it and it sounded like a construction site(yeah don’t eat too much candy folks). While he was operating, his dental assistant was pretty much handing Dr. Vien things or using the spit sucker on me. They don’t talk much during the whole ordeal, but I did remember one time they were talking about the chicken nuggets from Costco? The entire conversation was in Vietnamese though lol. After he was done, all I had to do was rinse my mouth out because there was a metallic taste and also to remove the residue. In each room there is a sink, cup dispenser, and paper towels as well. Dr. Vien and his assistants are more than helpful, courteous, and funny as well. I can’t really speak for prices because my insurance covered it though. What I really liked was that everything was clean and all the tools on the side were covered and always changed after each person. For Vietnamese speaking folks, Dr. Vien would be your best choice. Plus in the operating room there’s a picture of Disneyland directly across the chair/bed. It relaxed me.
