Laura has been cutting my hair for longer than I care to mention! She is professional, down to earth, and funny! She does a great job! And Pomp salon is legit!

I knew I wanted to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding, but I definitely dragged my feet about booking a trial or anything with anybody! What was I thinking, right??? Well, imagine my surprise when I was able to be squeezed in for a trial mid-​February for my wedding that was in mid-​April!!!
I was booked with Lindsay Strongheart and she really took her time to get my hair and makeup exactly like the pictures I brought in. What she made me look like was nothing short of a miracle!!! I say this because my hair had been short but I was growing it out for the wedding in the hopes of getting an updo with some braids and Lindsay was able to make it happen! I still have no idea how she did that! And my makeup was AMAZING!!! I looked like a MUCH better version of myself. I knew that I had to have Lindsay for my wedding day so I booked her to do my hair and makeup, my mother-in-law’s hair and makeup, my sister-in-law’s hair and makeup, and my maid of honor’s makeup.
Lindsay came to our house on the morning of the wedding (April 13^th) and set up everything and got to work. She worked so hard on all four of us! And she was such a pleasure to be around! She made it fun! We all got SOOOO many compliments at the wedding on how great we looked. I’m SO happy because my photos look amazing too!

These are really nice ladies and I believe that they are pretty good at what they do for a very reasonable price, but I do not know for sure since a unfortunate series of events led me to not book with them. I chose them first after much research for my wedding hair and makeup, I went to them first because of the price, package, and the fact that they are more focused on weddings and events onsite and they were local. Several things happened, I booked a trial run. Not long after it had to be rescheduled because the lady had a previous engagement planned, no big deal. Next, the day of the trial run rescheduled the lady called to be a little late. She ended up not being able to make it at all because of a personal situation, she was having really bad luck as several things kept her from making it. She was very apologetic about it and honestly I was a little disappointed but considering her circumstances I wasn’t upset, I was willing to re-​schedule even though I had to drive 90 miles to be there, but its my home town (I live in the bay area but wedding is in lodi). We rescheduled, she had even offered to drive out to where I am at whenever I was available. I really appreciated that but it was necessary. The third time, she didn’t show and didn’t call. I got into contact with Laura herself to figure out what is going on. According to them they had a miss communication about my rescheduled trial run and the lady didn’t know or remember about the appointment. I think we started almost an hour late and both the lady and the Laura herself came to complete the trial run. They were both very nice and they did a great job with my hair and makeup, I think. They both were very sorry for all the issues, I paid them full price for the trial and they gave me two days to place a holding deposit. A couple days later I emailed to inquire about their package where I didn’t need the flower girl (since I have none) and wanted to switch it with a bridesmaid. Laura emailed me back and to let me know it was $ 40 extra to substitute. I don’t know why but that was the breaking point for me in wanting to book with them. I really was ready to put a deposit on them despite all the issues with had with scheduling. But when she told me about the extra charge, it was so matter of fact, that I felt like they really didn’t want my business after all. Maybe on their part business is business and they made an effort in their own ways. I wasn’t really looking for any freebies or discount, and $ 40 is no big deal really too me. But I think considering after all the inconviences if they really wanted my business they would show it in some way better than they did to me.
