If I’m ever in the Stockton/Tracy area this is the only hookah lounge I go to. They always have the flavor I want which is grape mint gum mint. The atmosphere is great and a lot of cool and interesting people walk into this place. They really take care of their customers and the lounge is always well kept and maintained. The owner Darren really took care of me and my friends. We had a group of 10 come in we bought 4 hookahs and he threw in another hookah for free with a few ice tips. The money wasn’t a problem it’s the fact that he went out of his way to do that is what’s important to me because he genuinely cares for this customers. I would really recommend everyone to come check this image out.

Everything that went wrong: 1) The guy working promised our group a «great deal» but then ended up charging us more, even the few that didn’t even smoke. The few people in our group who did not want to smoke were charged $ 5. That’s right y’all. It costs $ 5 to not smoke in this place and sit on their broken chairs. What a fantastic deal! 2) The audio they blare out doesn’t match the video being played on the tv screens. 3) The couches are broken! Super uncomfortable, with the wires and cushions seeping out. You might as well sit on the square chairs because that’s honestly and unfortunately the only good thing about this place. 4) The bathrooms are horribly kept. Dingy and no toilet paper. You better go walk to the Burger King across the street to use the bathroom.

Me and my friends love going to the Hookah Palace! Henry and the guys are really cool. My favorite bowl is their pinapple bowl! One time I tried getting the pinapple bowl they were out. So they went out and got some and gave me drinks while I waited. THANKSGUYS!

Best hookah place in stockton hands down. Customer service is great, they always make sure we have new coal when it’s running low and always check on us to make sure we’re doing good. Good variety of flavors available to choose from. Hookahs are always clean, they take the extra time to clean them compared to other places. And the prices are cheap. The music selection is great. And they offer the kaloud which is great.

Came into this lounge and WOW!!! Seeing all these negative reviews made me think twice but after smoking hookah here just WOW. I’ve been smoking over 5 – 6 years been too a bunch of lounges and this had been ONEOFTHEBEST I’ve been too. The bowl tasted amazing and lasted for a little over an hour. Also the service deserves more than 5 stars. From the moment I told them the flavor to the moment I sat down my hookah was already packed and in in front of me ready to smoke. Now that’s what I call good service. Just come down and smoke a bowl and let the business speak for itself.

I came in here twice and some of my friends come to palace but it’s not all that. major flaws make other hookah bars much better. even cedars or fire temple are better, and amaraen in stockton is better too. At palace there is no privacy because everyone is in the same big room, and all stools people sit on across from the futons have no cushion and no back support just no comfort. Also the menu is limited so how about flavors like pineapple, cherry cola, banana split, kiwi strawberry. Plus, only tobacco hookah, I tried ice drops before and I thought this place is the newest and people suggest it maybe they will have that but no ice drops. And the music gets old, no country, Rock, oldies, or anything besides hiphop! Also the televisions at amaraen have better picture maybe because they are at 1080p or maybe the place is less smokey. Hookahs are not cold and it costs $ 5 for ice tips but only $ 3 at amaraen. Why not fridge the hookahs like they do there? Fruit bowls are nice but expensive and i smoked fruit bowl at amaren it was only $ 5 more. So what’s up with the ventilation because it does smell like burned coals at the back. The hookah and customer service are not better than Pepperonis or amaraen, I have been to all of them and the workers are helpful everywhere the same. can you bring in food here like you can at amaraen? I don’t know how people are comparing the two hookah bars and arriving at the conclusion that this place is better, just better how? Facts don’t lie, I mean have you been to the other hookah bar recently? This place is not all that and vs. the other one it just won’t compare

Sooooo, ive read alot of reviews about the hookah palace and the amarean café, and decided to check them both out recently just to see which I liked better. I’ve visited hookah palace a few times since they opened not long ago, and honestly I’ve visited amarean often over the years. I asked a buncha questions about their products and accommodations and what they offer. Naturally, this review was to unfold from these visits. I criticized them both considering the locations, set up, atmosphere, hookahs and the service provided. First up, I tried out the Hookah palace a few times just to see if what I experienced was normal. It’s located in a plaza full of stores and restaurants, but it’s poverty stricken, so chances are you’ll deal with pan handlers or petty criminals at some point. Amarean café is located on the miracle mile near a few lively and popular businesses which was a relief to have the options to walk around and have options of other entertainment. Star awarded to amarean. Once inside hookah palace I noticed its rather modern looking, yet it still seems bland, stale if you will. They play rap and hip hop, only. I heard they had tried to have a dj weeks ago, not sure how that would work out for them being that its already cramped and won’t accommadate many small groups or a few large parties. Amarean café on the other hand is a vibrant feeling of life and diversity, vertu dynamic, adding in the many different genres of music and videos played thru out the day. Amaraen offers a massive amount of room, keeps the ambiance that you’re in a relaxing lounge and keeping with the culture of hookah. They have a patio, a main floor, and an upstairs area for gathering. 2 restrooms and yet another floor available for public, or private, parties. Amarean keeps is look intriguing as it can be easily viewed as a work of living art since its look is regularly updated. To be honest it is incomparable when it comes to its competitors with its space, diverse people from different backgrounds, and the sheer beauty it offers in design. Both establishments have plenty of tv monitors, yet only amarean offered other than just the music videos, they played comedy specials and even offered karaōke! Start awarded Amarean. The HOOKAH: the important stuff. Both places use the exact same khalil maamoun hookahs, half cube coconut coals, and shisha brands. I found a large variety from fumari, starbuzz, and alfakher at both places. Basic hookahs are priced about the same. At an extra charge you’ll find there are lotus coal systems available at the Hookah Palace, along with fruit bowls, and ice tips. Amaraen Café also has party bowls, ice tips and alternatively have more to offer with the popular Vapor or steam stone hookahs. Each establishment has their own upgrades, If you know how to manage your coals, the hookahs should last the same amount of time. Hookah specific I would rather visit amarean café and praise them for understanding a cold hookah is a better, refreshing, hookah. From tip, optional frozen tip, to base, the entire hookah is chilled nicely. This is standard at amarean at no extra charge. I should mention the menu is vast and amarean even offers NON-tobacco hookah! Adding they offer Egyptian hookahs that have wider openings than the KM hookahs. Star awarded amarean, to both would very one but there may be a clear choice for recommendation Service, service, service: The service at both locations is actually IMPECCABLE. Hookah palace’s staff clearly take pride in their customer service and will always check up on you in near perfect timing. Not annoying, just right. Amarean’s knowledge and efficiency naturally allows them to leave you with plenty of coals and enjoy your time alone or with friends and maintain the integrity of some privacy, similar to a nice get away. They seem to feel-rightly so– that they don’t need to crowd their patrons, they tend to anyone if they need assistance, just as much as the Hookah palace does in fact. Both lounges offer superb customer service as needed respectively. Start awarded amaraen. 5th star would go to whomever offers the best if the best and continuously offers a great experience: amarean 5 stars to the Amarean Café for doing an excellent job and never disappointing. If the palace had another competitor for comparison it might be different. But being as these two are the only relevant establishments, here you are. I’ve done my best to be honest and objective with both establishments. Reviews that simply say a «place is garbage» and«service is horrible» leaves me to believe that opinion and review is no where near credible. I welcome and highly encourage the owner to address What we write, but like what he did with a recent review calling him out on safety and legalities. Sir, you are losing credibility by not taking such important reviews seriously.

By far the best hookah bar/lounge in Stockton. Combination of excellent service, environment, and last but not least hookah! These guys really take care of their customers and always check in to make sure the coals are fresh and the hookah is hitting smooth and correctly. From beginners to experts this is a great hookah experience with comfortable couches and a cool ambiance setting with good music on at all times. They also have a variety of drinks and snacks available. The bowls last forever and a day so you get your money’s worth every time because they don’t charge as much as they probably could for the experience as a whole. I’ve been to the other hookah spots here in town and they don’t come close to the Hookah Palace. But I’m not a rapper.(Lol)

I threw a surprise party here for my best friend’s 21st Birthday, and the staff was amazing. The ones who helped out a lot were Darren, Billy, and Bikrum(cute guys too!). They helped set up, played birthday music when the birthday girl walked in and were really attentive to the guests. I felt like I had them running all over the place, but they always kept a smile on their faces and kept asking if there was anything I needed. The Birthday girl and I were really pleased to have such great service. The party was this past Saturday, and it was a great time. We bought unlimited hookah for $ 140 for two hours with at least 20 people there it was cost effective and fun. After seeing the great service and how nice the place was, we will definitely be back. My little sister wants to have a party here too, so I’ll be contacting you guys in August to get everything set up. Can’t wait!(:

Environment is unique, hookah was delicious but gotta say step it up a bit in the customer service area. I may or may not return i did not appreciate my group being harassed about having 4 people on one hookah when the 4th guy was a random person who I didn’t know who doesn’t even smoke.

I’ve been smoking hookah for years. I’ve been to all the hookah bars around the Area and by far this is the best. The flavors are great. The space is amazing. The price is fair. But the best thing of all is the absolutely amazing customer service. The guys that run this place are some of the sweetest, kindest, most genuine guys I’ve ever met. Needless to say, this is officially my favorite place to be.

I loved it. This place has a great atmosphere! I went to try this place out with my sister and sis-in-law yesterday. We didn’t want to go out of town for hookah so looked for one here in Stockton. I’ve been to a different one here in Stockton, but you can’t even compare the two. This place is was a lot better! Great music, tvs, and comfortable seating.
