Truly one of stocktons secrets… although it shouldnt be kept a secret… shame on those of you who do. Perhaps your afraid to share the fact that you shop on country club blvd… instead of Lincoln center! The sweets at elegant truffle far surpass any other in the valley. Jennifer invests more time on her creations and less on the store front. Thats the way I’d prefer it… with the exception of her seasonal and completeley edible displays. The portions at this place are most generous and theres always something new to try and Jennifer appreciates testers!!(I know first hand!) Hopefully stocktonians will prove that they have good sense and will frequent this little establishment so stockton doesnt lose a treasure.

This place is just as cluttered inside as the little scatter of businesses it’s found in. Jennifer’s a little pack rat, but packs a lot of brag in her truffles(she lets them do the talking). The place is just down-right homely, with the sound of Billy Holiday permeating the chocolatey atmosphere, and the whisper of her $ 300-something dollar water fountain competing for attention in a miserable corner. But it’s dem truffles! Margarita & Amaretto seem to be my personal favorites. The chocolate’s imported from Belgium, and she has a few samples of milk and dark always laden by a little crystal bowl by the flower pens. Jennifer manages to keep the atmosphere familiar, adding to the comfort of the ganache. The sophistication and exquisiteness of the liqueur and the chocolate keeps it all a little sinful. She manages to package it all in a lot of class, inside tiny boxes, decorated with colorful, metallic trimmings, topped with the iridescent ribbons, just in case it’s for someone else(or for yourself during a bad week). Simple, and elegant… with chocolate dipped spoons for back-up. Amaretto Truffle: Fragrant, nutty hints looming in the back. The dark chocolate teems with a subtle fragrant sweetness that is further enhanced by the delicate sweetness of the ganache and it’s apparent warmth. Try the Brandy Cherry Truffle too.
