My son asked for guitar lessons this summer and there aren’t a ton of options in Stockton so I went to Unilocal to see whether or not anyone had any experiences with guitar teachers that might be helpful. I’m glad I looked! Dan is THEBEST. My 10 year old son is bright but very analytic, and tends to talk way too much, neither are traits that lend themselves to learning something as intricate as how to play an electric guitar. Dan is exceedingly patient, but also very good at keeping him on track. He jumps right in with learning how to tune the guitar, and then learning how to play. No boring music theory lectures here, he simply teaches you how to play. My son loves his guitar lessons, we’re SHOCKED at how much he can do in such a short amount of time with Dan, and really couldn’t be happier with our investment. And as far as that goes, Dan is extremely reasonable price wise. You won’t find anyone out there that gives a better value for the money. We highly recommend him.

I am an older player. Who decided to pick up the electric guitar a few months ago as a form of relaxation. I began with another instructor at the recommendation of a friend who is an experienced musician. I worked with my instructor for a month. The lessons involved very little playing, a lot theory and moving through a lot of material quickly. I became a bit intimidated and overwhelmed. I decided to look for another instructor. I found Daniel. After the first lesson, I signed up for more. He has an easy going style of teaching important concepts without over whelming you. You will play every lesson for the majority of the lesson. Important concepts like proper left hand techniques and other foundations which will make you a much better player in the future are emphasized. He not the type of instructor that promotes the«grab it and rip it» style of instruction. I am on the road of becoming a good player which was my goal. Call him up and give a lesson a try. Sorry for the lost San Diego, but it’s Stockton/Lodi’s gain.

Unfortunately for us San Diegans, Daniel has moved to northern California.
