I have been here several times. Great for a business lunch or casual dining Service is adequate, not terrible but the waitresses could be a little more friendly. Food has always been very good and reasonably priced. My favorite is the English Burger. The filet mignon with Chesapeake topping is another great choice!

I recently visited here with my fiancé and we loved the place and overall atmosphere. The bartender was very attentive and personal. We intended to just have drinks, however we enjoyed the atmosphere so we decided to stay for dinner. We both loved our food and the price is very reasonable considering the food portion. Wish they had a bigger outdoor seating area.

I really like this place. I see the negative comments about the look of the outside. Maybe they’ve fixed it up since then because there is really nothing wrong with it. We were able to make a reservation on a Saturday night which is great. They seated us immediately. The food coming out looked amazing. I had the spinach salad with poppy seed dressing and added grilled chicken. It was very good! My husband had the buffalo chicken salad and really enjoyed it and he tends to be picky. We each had a cup of the chicken chili which we loved. Our friends weren’t too hungry so they just got appetizers… potato skins, spring rolls, and the homemade chips with blue cheese dip and enjoyed it all. The service was very good. Not one complaint. Looking forward to going back.

Food was delicious, good service and pleasant atmosphere. We were skeptical going in, but as my husband said «if you would have forgotten the leftovers I would have made you go back in»…that means we will be back.

If you like good service do not come here! So we walk in and get seated and had to wait an extremely long time for them to take our drink order. When they finally got our drinks to us the server slammed them onto the table and was very rude. After that we asked for the manager from a different server and the rude lady came back and we asked from the manager from her. She then responded that her brother and her both are managers. She never said sorry she only fought with us which we also found very rude. This is the first time I have ever walked out of a restaurant! We decided to go to mivajoes pizza instead because they have much better service and great food.

A popular spot with good variety in both food and beverage. Have not had a bad meal here but have not had anything that wowed. The food is prepared with chef style preparation.
Tip. You may see a ghost. They say the joint is hunted.

Just had the apple wood bacon cheese burger. I ordered it well, but it was a little burnt on the edges. The homemade chips are amazing. I would have gone 3.5 stars, but Unilocal won’t let me. The wait staff is friendly and helpful and the inside is pretty. If you are in the back room with a group, the road behind van make it seem like they are coming through the wall. The ghost story is cool. We didn’t see Marvin. I’d eat here again.

Chrystal and Reagan were both tending bar. Very pleasant ladies. The bar seemed very quaint.
Their bourbon selection was great! (Blantons and Basil Hayden was what i had) The food menu is also great. I had a turkey burger with blue cheese which was delicious.
Apparently the place is also haunted.

This local pub offers a great atmosphere and homemade comfort and bar foods. Hopefully you can visit when there is a crowd or a band playing because its more fun, but either way I think you’ll enjoy the food. We always get the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, made with local cheese from Calandra’s Cheese in Nazareth — delicious and a must try! The entrees are delicious and there are always unique specials, like the pumpkin glazed pork chops we had tonight. I’m personally a big fan of the chicken chili — its slightly spicy and is made with pulled chicken. The burgers are also good but I tend to visit Widow’s Tavern for their other items…

Not a fan. Poorly designed bar room. Bartenders can dance behind the bar but there’s no space to walk behind people seated at the bar to go to the back of the room. Food is good. I was served a martini with a bug in it, I could swear the bartender saw it and still served it to me.

Rushed servers, uneven floors in the annex and really abrupt servers. As another Unilocaler said, they served as if they were upset we had interrupted their day. However, the salads and sandwiches we had were quite good, and I had a citrus mojito that was pretty good. If you can tolerate subpar service and pretty shabby décor, it’s not bad.

Great food, the crap soup was amazing and the service was good, would’ve been a 4 star if the place wasn’t pretty much empty, I’m sure on a Friday night it’s busy

Excellent start to finish. The staff was fast and friendly. Soup was excellent. The pirogi were like old country sautéed not deep fried. Could go on… but the place speaks for itself. Worth the drive.

The best place around English Burger is out of this world. Although everything I have tried on the menu is excellent. Brought many friends here and tried lots of different things and everyone I brought love it and are regular customers now. The drink menu is awesome. You will not me disappointed. Love it here and look forward to coming here and staff is excellent.

Absolutely awful food I gave it a second chance and it was worse the second time. We live right around the corner and was hoping that it would be better. The bar is always happening .so for a drink it’s ok but I wouldn’t order any food there

Food was ok. Service was awful. I got the impression that the servers were mad that people were actually sitting for dinner and they all wanted to hang out in the bar. No big crowd in the dining room either, so that is no excuse. Really rude, very inattentive.
We won’t be back.

Love Widows! We go often & everything is so tasty. Their balsamic dressing is to die for, no matter what I order I have to get a salad cause that dressing is perfection.
It’s family friendly also, we take our 2yr old & always get a big comfy booth to sit in.

Well, it’s a bit complicated to summarize my experience at Widows. I had low expectations given the location and appearance outside. Even lower upon entry as it seemed a bit smoky outside, and you enter directly into the crowed bar and stage where live music is being played, rather loudly on this occasion. But, the people working there nice enough and led us to the more cozy, if rustic, dining area.
Amazing menu, very creative, lots of seafood items, we got very excited choosing. The results were mixed. Appetizers: bruschetta was ok; tuna tartar was pretty good; perogies were very good. Entrees: The seafood combo pasta (which I got) was not good at all, I left most of it on my plate (seafood not very good, pasta way too creamy); the ribeye steak and mashed potatoes were very good, luckily I shared part of that with my girl.
Oh, and Guinness on tap was excellent, I had two of those. :)
The live music was excellent, we enjoyed that tremendously.
Overall, this is a nice place I would return to, just sticking to the meat-​and-​potatoes basics I think. Nice ambiance as a tavern to hear music and have a drink too.
