Old School Bagel Cafe

We really like this place — the bagels are huge, cheap, & delicious (although I don’t think they are actually New York style, despite all the signage making that claim. They are more like the idealized fluffy bagels you see in Panera’s promotional materials).

Good place for sandwiches or bagels. Overall the staff is friendly and the meals are made quickly and well!
Come for coffee and a bagel or come for lunch. The old smokey is the best thing on the menu!

A really nice spot to sit, drink coffee, and plan to do your homework. I really enjoy their bagel sandwiches and think their coffee is as good as the Aspen around town.

I’ve been to this location twice. I would say their food is just ok. Nothing to write home about.
The restaurant is clean and it is a nice atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and they get the food to you quickly. Also you get 10% off if you like them on Facebook.
They have lots of bagels to choose from and different sandwich combinations. Some look fun-​such as the turkey guacamole, the cowboy, the reuben, to name a few. I just wanted a really simple sandwich. An everything bagel toasted (not sure if they really «toasted» it? It was warm) with just turkey and cheese. I also had lays chips and an iced tea. It tasted ok but it was just standard bland turkey meat and the main gripe was how little meat and cheese was on the sandwich. I wouldn’t even really call it a sandwich.
Sad because I love to support local businesses but they need to give back too!

Great bagels and atmosphere. My fav place in Stillwater for breakfast. Jalapeño cheese with cream cheese or with eggs/​bacon is delicious

Just purchased my last $ 7 sandwich from this place. I have tried (really tried!) to patronize this local business, but the portion size for the cost is ridiculous! Today I ordered an egg salad sandwich, and the amount of egg salad was that of a garnish and not the main ingredient. In the past I’ve ordered a veggie on a bagel and paid extra for cream cheese, only once did I received enough cream cheese to justify the up charge.

Love, love, love this place. I have loved everything I’ve tried from the coffee to the Ruben. The staff is awesome to top it off. Always smiling and laughing. You can tell they actually like their job

The slogan says «There’s no NEW YORK in the name but the bagels are the same» … Well that’s NOT COMPLETELY TRUE !
The only thing that is same… is the Recipe for the bagels. Even with the ghost of times gone by THE BAGELS ARE NOT THE SAME. Said to see that this location falling short.
I hate to say it but, the bagel is not cooked the same. No Corn Meal on the bottom of the bagel, it doesn’t look like there boil or baked in a oven… It does not have the density of that the NEW YORK BAGEL SHOP had … The portions that they put on the sandwiches are the size of what a school child would eat.
Gone I guess are good times of Brooklyn Bomber … the Cowboy Club they severe isn’t even close the the MAMMOTH ones the NEW YORK BAGEL SHOP used to serve … People back in the day would Save theirs last $ 10. 00 just to buy a Brooklyn Bomber or a Cowboy Club at the end of the night of drinking at Eskimo Joe’s .
At least the staff is kind and prompt. It the best Stillwater can do ! So give it a try !

Love this place! I’m so sad I went all four years of college without eating here

Used to eat at the one in Tulsa on Peoria all the time, so I was thrilled when I learned there was one in my new hometown. Best everything bagels always!
I do have one huge complaint though. I ask every time for this condiment and even the staff «wish we had some too!» It’s called Tabasco! Get a large bottle and put it out at the condiment table already! How many times do we have to go through this?! The Peoria location has over a dozen bottles of varying brands and styles of hot sauce.

The bagels are always superb and they’ve got a wide variety of sandwiches (although they have a pretty limited selection of breakfast sandwiches).

I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich bagel, it’s great. Service has always been friendly and fast, and I will definitely continue to hit it up for breakfasts.
