Exceeded so many expectations. Walked in to the packed restaurant but we(2 top) sat in less than 10 minutes. Food was delivered in under 8 minutes. And it was fantastic. The server was awesome and manager(presumably) was so fun! We will happily drive from NE Mpls to come here.

Enjoyed our stop today at the Oasis Café. I inhaled the Oasis Haystack, a tasty mix of peppers, meats and hash browns topped with two eggs and toast. Service was attentive and personable. Overall, exactly what you would expect from a small town diner, good food, good service and lots of coffee. They were busy, but our food came out quickly and hot. A nice start to our day in historic Stillwater.

This mom and pop café has pretty good burgers. I always get the steak and eggs. And they’re usually really good. Last time I was there my friend got the eggs benedict. The eggs were served sunny side up. They’re supposed to be poached on eggs benedict. I thought that was kind of weird. Obviously they’re taking a shortcut while making that.

Had awesome service here! Love the location and feel of the place as well, all around awesome ambiance. The fries here are to die for and the burger was pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. Overall a nice place and definitely worth a stop in!

Stopped in for a bite on Saturday afternoon 1÷9÷16 for the first time. I had the hangover burger, a burger with an over easy egg on top of hash browns with hollandaise sauce on top which was overall great. The burger patty itself could have been seasoned a bit more in my opinion but was still very good as a whole and was not a pre frozen patty like many restaurants try to serve these days. My wife had a barbecue burger of sorts, don’t remember what it was called but she said it was very good. Our portion of fries was skimpy but good and the burgers were a generous size so I was ok with it. «I’m big on getting a good value for the price I pay when I go out to eat somewhere.» Our server was courteous, honest and attentive and our food was hot and arrived fast. I definitely will have to visit it again sometime and try something new.

Breakfast here. Would love to come back for the burger! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Yes, it is a little hole in the wall, but larger inside than you would think, and thank God it’s a local place and not a chain. Service was fast, food was good. Don’t hesitate to stop and give it a try.

We’ve had two meals here in two weeks and everything we’ve ordered has been delicious. Surprisingly diverse for a small town café! It’s an old time diner layout with friendly staff.

My darling friends introduced me to Oasis Café this past week for brunch. Their mimosas were the perfect size-huge– enough to last me through the entire meal! I ordered the huevos rancheros– best decision. Despite how great the other items my girlfriends ordered, there was absolutely no food envy for me! You know you have ordered a great meal if you are already planning your next return before you get the check. A huge thank you to the chef for making a slight change to my order since it was slow… and thank you to the waitress for constantly keeping our water glasses and coffees topped off. We will be back soon!

From the outside this does not look like a great place to eat, but don’t let looks fool you. The menu was impressively varied and high quality, with some classics and some more adventurous fare. The menu is basic comfort foods with a twist. The service was excellent and friendly. Thankfully we took the chance and we were very glad we did. The Oasis is a rare gem of a restaurant.

This is a hole in the wall and seems very popular but i’m not sure why. The over all cleanliness could be improved upon. I ended up ordering the pancakes and eggs. My scrambled eggs lacked flavor and I did not care for the flavor or texture of my pancakes. I will say that our server was a gem. She was pleasant friendly and sociable. The food just did not do it for me.

A pretty good breakfast sandwich, I think it’s called the«Hangover». Excellent and plentiful coffee. We noticed a guy refilling coffee who was joking around with some kids near our table. Turns out to be the owner who will play a game of tic tack toe with the kid. If the kid wins, the meal is free. If he loses he has to give his mom a hug. Very cool. Arrive early, it gets crowded on the weekends.

This is a little café on the side of the road that I have always just driven by. No longer however. The food is awesome! I had the Jalapeño burger and it was delicious. My son ordered the Ziggy’s Breakfast and was unprepared for the amount of food he got. The pancake was huge! We will definitely be stopping in again.

The Oasis has been voted the best restaurant for many years running. It is well-deserved. The food is amazing. No small portions here! I was there today. I had the hangover breakfast… croissant with amazing crispy hash browns and yummy sausage patties and a sunny side up egg and holland wise sauce. SO freakin’ good. My brother had the Reuben and was impressed by the portion and the tasty sauerkraut. My Mom had the egg and cheese sandwich and was in love. The service is exemplary. Seems like all of the servers have been in the business for a while. They are fast and efficient and friendly. I love the Oasis. If you are craving breakfast in the St. Croix Valley, you won’t be disappointed.

The coffee was awful, of the worst I’ve ever had. I ordered eggs benedict with sausage, which would have been fine, but it was cold and coagulated when they brought it out. There are much better places in Stillwater. Despite the food sitting under a heat lamp for 15 minutes, the sausage was pretty good.

I’ve been going here for many years but not just for their amazing breakfast. Personally, I love the hot beef commercial as well their burgers, which are fantastic. If I’m getting breakfast, it’s a hard choice between the biscuits and gravy, haystacks, steak and eggs, or omelettes. I’ve never had a bad meal there or bad service. It can get busy and servers are running around like crazy but they still make sure you have what you need/want.

I recommended Oasis for breakfast with a party of 8. My sister had to ask six times for a Diet Coke refill. 5 people were served a great breakfast. Twenty five minutes later the last 3 were served. The owner stopped by our table and was perceived by us as nasty. His response«it’s busy. You want me to lose money and comp your meal?». We are an easy going well educated bunch and expressed disappointment with his response. He repeatedly stated then«you tell me what you want». We were not looking for a free meal. We will never go to Oasis again!

Outstanding breakfasts and lunches just east of downtown Stillwater. A former truck stop, this is not your typical greasy spoon. Best breakfast and service in stillwater.

I had an awful experience here. The food was bland with portions meant to please only non discriminating patrons that think even bad food is good if you get a lot of it. Service was ok. Management/ownership is the real problem here. I witnessed an extra charge on my bill as a result of the owner throwing a tantrum because he doesn’t like to pay his employees a living wage. This is not the kind of business I care to support. This restaurant belongs in WI. Craig of Oasis, I understand your defensiveness. Regardless, it annoys me to read your political statement on my receipt. Left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak. It has and will cause you to lose business. I meant it when I said your restaurant belongs in WI, where your philosophy would be right at home… and aren’t they doing great over there.

Great breakfast spot on the edge of downtown Stillwater. It’s your classic diner, small but comfortable. We came at 10:30 on a Friday with a party of 8 and didn’t have to wait. They only have one large table on the back that could fit us but we were lucky to arrive right when the last party sitting there had just left. The menu is full of great, creative breakfast items. Unique to River Oasis is their haystackers, which is two eggs on top of a bed of hash browns and is loaded up with cheese and other ingredients depending on which haystackers you order. I ordered the Oasis haystacker which came with ham, bacon, sausage, green pepper, and mushrooms. I added their delicious sausage gravy which made the meal really come together. So many flavors! We didn’t have a long wait at all either. Again, this is a great spot for breakfast however, nothing blew me away enough to give it five stars. If I could i’d give it a 4.5

Dined here many times. Always great experience and a nice local vibe buzzing inside. Pancakes were fantastic. Hashbrowns crispy and delish. The waitstaff was great. If you are serious about dining here please disregard the stupid and incredibly uninformed liberal pukes that are posting bogus reviews here. Support local!
