The best! Everything on their menu is good! Great gyro! Great hummus! Great Caesar salad!

WAY — TOO — SALTY. (And I *add* salt to 95% of the food I’m served, but even for me: everything tastes like saline.) I eat at Café Bella about once a year, and every time am reminded why I don’t eat there more. The falafel patties seem industrially produced and are not tasty; I’ve made better myself out of the just-​add-​water dry mix from the grocery store. Eggplant isn’t in a delicious tomato sauce as stated, but rather swimming in a deep pool of oil. In the menu photographs all of the salad is romaine, but in reality they use iceberg lettuce. Basically, it seems like Café Bella is cutting a lot of corners to save on labor + cost; the food quality is suffering.
I know the former Café Bella was well-​reviewed; maybe they had to change the way they prepare things since downsizing to the food truck? Also, I LOVE the cute green tuck, and the *idea* of having it there — I just wish the food were… better.
If you have a yen for Mediterranean food, I’d recommend Nikki’s Greek a few blocks over.
