This place is the most awesome place in the world, if you are a kid, or a kid at heart. There are farm animals, a real live pumpkin patch, hay bundles arranged into play areas and teepees, a hay ride, and corn mazes(easy and difficult levels). Everything is included in the admission price of $ 8, except you pay for your pumpkin and you pay at a food and drink stand. As an adult, it’s hard to find value here. The pumpkins, while beautiful, are expensive. The hay ride is a circle within a plowed field with nothing interesting to see. The animals are smelly(but you should expect that). The play area is kid-sized. Also they ran out of cider. The corn maze was interesting. They do sell other things like various squashes and apples and a pumpkin butter, but the selection is limited and overall expensive. It would be nice to have a separate«store» type deal without the admission entry, if all you wanted was to buy an organic squash and not do the whole shebang.

My family and I went to Rodgers for the first time today and have nothing but great things to say about our trip! Admission is $ 9 per person, and they accept both cash and credit cards. A few other things Rodgers has is a food and drink stand, a short hay ride that goes in a small circle(*About a 3 – 5 minute ride I would say.*), a few animals(*Cows, piglets, goats, sheep. At first we thought it was going to be a petting zoo but you’re not allowed to pet any of them.*), a corn maze, and the pumpkin patch of course! The past few years we’ve gone to Baughers, but Rodgers is about a half hour away, and seemed very less crowded than Baughers has been around this time of the year so that was a plus! Would definitely come back again.

Went on a field trip with my daughter’s pre school so I didn’t have much say so in the matter. It’s located near her school so I assume that’s why we came here. We arrived and met our guide as we got off the bus. The first stop was the animal area. They had a mother cow with her calf, two sheep, a few goats, and a few pigs. You are not allowed to pet or feed the animals but the guide did break up a pumpkin and fed it to the adult pigs. The next stop was the hay ride. We rode around for about four minutes in a circle though a empty corn field. Then on to the corn maze. We did a quick walk though but there was another school there so we had a little traffic jam. The last guided portion was the pumpkin patch. The kids got to walk though and pick out a small pumpkin. Everything seems a little rushed to me. They had a few picnic tables out so we had lunch there. The best part was the play area set up for the kids. There was a mini hay maze that my daughter had a blast climbing on. I walked over the the concession stand and the prices are pretty high $ 2.00 for a bottle water expensive. It was on since it was part of the school trip but I would not have gone there otherwise.

Went on this school trip with my daughter, at first i was like oh wow, then when i got into the farm i was like omg. i was expecting alot more for the kids. yeah granted they had animals and a pumpkin patch, but we never went into the corn maze and the hay ride was like 5 minutes long and it just went in a circle around a corn patch, not a field a patch. yes she got a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch but they tried to charge me for it even though it was included in the field trip package with her school. further more there were bees everywhere from the trash not being removed from the cans all around. the food was ok but again there were bees everywhere and they were not making an effort to maintain them in the eating area, they did not have any bee traps or nothing and it was very hard to eat as they were flying all over landing in peoples drinks and food, and the little boy i was also watching in my group was stung. thank god he was not algeric but they should have some kind of area that is insect free. dont know if ill be returning with my daughter for non school related outings cause for fear of all the bees and the lack of costomer service.

Roger’s Farm is the biggest rip-off since movie theater popcorn. When I went this year on 10/27/2012, they wanted $ 8 for a quart of apple cider. I went to Giant and bought a gallon for $ 6. For a decent sized pumpkin, it’s about $ 10 versus $ 2 at the grocery store. The hay ride is pretty sad, it’s around the pumpkin patch and into the pumpkin patch. The people who ring the register make you hope they have more motivation in life. This place is good if you want to just go to a corn maze. This place left me wondering if there is a better place around.

I went to North Run Farm for the first time last weekend, because I wanted the experience of picking my own pumpkin out of a patch and not from the grocery store :) This place did not disappoint. After paying an admission fee of $ 8, I got access to the corn maze, hayride, pumpkin patch, and petting zoo. There is an open area just as you walk in that has concessions, picnic tables, and a playground for kids. Farther back was the petting zoo, which we did not really partake in, mainly because it was overrun with little ones(in addition to the animals). We also did not participate in the hayride; it seemed pretty straightforward, just a ride around the outskirts of the pumpkin patch. It was definitely geared towards families with youngsters. Let me just say that the corn maze here is AWESOME! The aerial view is of a crab; how cute for a MD farm! Apparently there are different designs each year. Now as an adult I am impressed to say that I still found this maze of maize somewhat challenging. This was definitely a plus. The pumpkin patch was endless!!! This was obviously the best part about North Run Farm! There was a great selection and ample space to wander off for photo op’s away from all the other people. They were also decently priced per pound. I will definitely return next fall!
