It was a complete disaster working with DPS. I had a roughly 650 square foot floor that needed to be replaced with hardwood — 3.5 months later it is finally semi-finished enough where I decided to hire someone else to finish it. DPS subcontracted the majority of the job out to a shoddy subcontractor who then subcontracted it out to another shoddy subcontractor, needless to say DPS disappeared and acted like none of the shoddy job was their responsibility. After a month, they said they had completed the project, but I could easily see my subfloor in three places, their contractor broke 8 baseboards, the shoe molding coloration ranged from light tan to black-ish brown, and the shoe molding cuts look like a middle schooler did it and put a pound of wood filler in each corner. Even when I had them come back multiple times, they constantly tried to do the quick cover-up instead of doing it right. For example, there were a few places that the shoe molding corners were so bad that the shoe molding was literally a half inch off the baseboard. Instead of fixing the corner properly when I pointed it out, they put a ton of caulk in the huge gap between the shoe molding and the baseboard. I literally had to hold their hand the entire way to get this done. Also, the floor installers bring day workers(who likely aren’t legal employees). I regret not going to Total Floors instead. Seriously, run away from these people!

We used DPS as our insurer also recommended them. The roofing repair was stop and start and what should have taken 1.5 days took 4 – 5. The biggest issue is the damage to our lawn and landscaping. Whatever chemical/tarps they used completely destroyed sections of our lawn. We had shubs that were in very healthy condition which now have to be replaced. Many of our neighbors had roof repairs and none had any lawn/landscaping damage. We also continue to fine bits and pieces of roofing materials all over.
