Read the reviews, was leery but had to try it since it was this so close. We have other family delivery spots in the area that we will keep but this was a cheap and solid lunch as others mentioned. This is more of a 3.5 stars and this isn’t a 4 Star against The Palm, this is a 4 Star for a cheap Chinese lunch spot. Noticed some regulars as I waited. Had the Beef with Broccoli lunch special. Beef was tender and good. The sauce was the right thickness but a bit on the Very Soy side but that just meant I didn’t have to add any of my own. The Fried rice is more like soy fried brown rice with No Egg, carrot, scallion to speak of but I was not there for smack you in the face amazing fried rice even though it would have been a positive. The Egg Roll was decent to good and freshly fried. More of a Spring roll wrapper which I prefer. Portion size was perfect. I will be back to try some other dishes and update as I do.

I knew I should’ve walked out when I saw the $.25 price tag for a fortune cookie! Worst food ever. The broccoli ends were not cut, I’m guessing so it looks like a «bigger portion» along with the 5 pieces of beef I revived in my beef and broccoli. Our fried wontons were so hard you could barely break them in half. Will not go back again, esp since we discovered CHINAVILLAGE.

I was craving wontons and popped in for take away. They should be ashamed to sell those wontons. Literally had a speck of pork in the wrapper. No kidding… the 4 wontons combined probably had enough pork to rival 1 pea. Feeling robbed!

I ordered the chicken and broccoli, and it came out to be around $ 7 with taxes. It came in a styrofoam box, so I was hoping it’d be a decent amount of food. However, I was pretty disappointed. The sauce was good, but 80% of the meal was the bowl of rice in the middle of the container. The broccoli to chicken ratio was WAY off; it should’ve been called broccoli and 4 small, thin pieces of chicken. Because that’s what it was. I was still hungry after eating it, because there was so little chicken in the meal. I feel really ripped off for paying $ 7 for mostly broccoli when I could buy a bunch of broccoli for $ 2. Definitely not a good value. I’ll stick to my usual chinese takeout spot next time.

Food was gross. Service was awful… would never eat here again not that we ate what we ordered in the first place. All 4 of us did not finish our plate and have stomach issues after waiting. My shrimp wasn’t deveined or clean, food had no flavor, sauce was nasty and chicken tasted like liver, beef looked danty. Terrible experience and waste of money. We are vacationers and this one experience ruined our entire night to the point where we skipped our preplanned dessert spot. Skip this place and be kind to yourself and your digestive system. Horrible!

Fast service, friendly staff. I’ve eaten here many times(take-out only) over the last 3 years. I usually get the chicken fried rice, but have also had their wontons, fried dumplings, sesame chicken, orange chicken, mongolian steak, and other dishes. Nothing special, but keeps me coming back.

Their steam dumplings are home made and excellent in flavor. Also loved their vegetable friend rice(got the brown rice option too). Great flavor & reasonable prices.

If you want decent Chinese take out at decent prices, then this is the place. Their lunch specials only run M-F, but regardless, I ordered the Gen Tsao’s Chicken and the beef lo mein. The order was large! Seriously, it was a takeout container full of chicken(oddly with peppers and carrots and not broccoli) and a teeny weeny container of rice(i’m not complaining) and the beef lo mein had tender beef but i wished they tossed in a bit of vegetables in there. watch your order though; the people who ordered before me had the wrong orders for 2 of their entrees. But in the end, was it good chinese american food, uhm, actually YEAH!

It is China New Year’s so I thought I would try to be a little auspicious and eat noodles to ring in the year of the goat. I had Jia Jiang Mien and for $ 8.75 it was worth every cent. It was tasty, the meat and sauce were well seasoned and the noodles cooked just right. I’ve had better and have had much worse Jia Jiang Mien before and this ranks pretty high. It would have been better if they served their food on China plates and had better chopsticks but that’s not what China King is all about. They keep their costs low and pass the low prices on to us, the customers. I’ll go back and will try something else. The daily specials looked great and most guests were ordering one of the five specials.

Decent place for a decent price. Clean eating area, food comes quick and good service. The lunch combinations are very well done(main, rice, egg roll). I’d be interested to see what it’s like for dinner. I’ll be back.

We order delivery from China King about once a month and it is always fast and the food is great. We ordered on New Years day and the food took about an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. Also, I called them to check on our order and they said the card I paid with did not work. Once I gave them the number again the arrived within 15 minutes. I understand it was New Years Day and they were probably slammed so I’m assuming this is a one time problem. Overall the food is great and it arrives quickly. I will keep ordering from here in the future.

The food at China King is always cooked fresh and is dirt cheap! The General Tso’s chicken is under $ 8 compared to other places in the area that charge $ 13+. The food isn’t the best, but you really can’t beat the value. There is always a steady flow of business, mostly takeout, and the restaurant itself is clean. My only gripe is how cheap they are about giving extras such as containers, plates, or sauces. They always act like it’s a hassle to provide more. I guess that’s how they keep prices so low. Our regular orders include General Tso, Black Pepper Steak, which is flank steak with onions and broccoli and just a ton of pepper sprinkled on toplo mein(their version is noodles without all the normal shredded veggies), fried won tons, and/or spring rolls.

Best Chinese food I’ve had in the Ashburn/Leesburg area! My husband and I are Chinese food lovers, so we have tried almost every place in the area since moving here. Every place we’ve had has been disappointing. BUT China King is so good! I personally love their fried rice! We get the general tso(extra spicy) and the sesame chicken and have never been disappointed. The vegetable rolls are super good too! I definitely recommend this wonderful place! You won’t be disappointed :)

Another in the Chain of local China Kings. I havent been to any of the others in years, so I cant compare. This one is small, but clean. I never eat there, always grab it for a quick take out dinner. The quality of the food varies from mediocre to good. Its never better or worse than that. Its definitely cheap and the portions are not to big or to small.

Great food and friendly people. I always get the chicken fried rice — delicious and consistent. Haven’t had any CFR better than China King’s. Big portion and extremely reasonable price. Their spring rolls and fried dumplings are also good.

Years ago we went to the original and first store on SPRINGSTREET, in Herndon. We moved to Sterling, and China King was removed from my mind. On a whim the hubbie and I ordered carry-out the other night. The one good thing is that comparatively speaking it is cheap. But this is a case of you get what you pay for. Shrimp and Cashews were dismal, and Sweet and Sour Pork was mere nuggets of dried pig cleverly concealed in a wad of fried dough… The Won-Ton soup was akin to dishwater. China King did rule years ago, but they sadly have lost their crown imho.

This is an alright Chinese restaurant. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing, or horrible. It’s just alright. It’s also fast and convenient. I haven’t been there in a while, because I know I can get better food elsewhere, but if I had to go back I wouldn’t go kicking and screaming. It’s alright.

The good thing about China King is their prices. You really can’t beat it. Some times for dinner, you just don’t want a large portion. Most Chinese take out places have a lunch and dinner prices. China is one price all day long. These one sized meals are enough for either lunch or dinner. I also like the fact they are serving some dishes you can’t find at too many places. Things like dried bean curd and pork, and ja jiang mein. Yes this place is a chain, but I have noticed that of all the locations I’ve been to, the food taste the same. On this trip, I had the dried bean curd and pork. I can’t find this dish at too many places. Their version is pretty good, not the best I’ve had, but still good. I can’t complain. =) I’ve also had their chicken and cashews, a nice americanized dish, but still tasty. The people here are nice, the service is fast. What more can you ask for. Oh, yeah, I’ll say it again. It’s CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP. Just like me :)

This is a take-out location with a few tables. China King operates several locations and their food is freshly prepared. My hot and sour soup there lacked zip, even though it appeared to have all the necessary ingredients. Their version was watery, and neither spicy nor sour. Chicken with black bean sauce and Chinese vegetables appeared hot from the wok. It was heavy on scallions and green peppers, no bok choy, water chestnuts or black mushrooms. Lots of white rice accompanied it in the take-out container. This is a handy place in the Cascades shopping area where you can park easily along the street or behind the restaurants. For a quick, freshly cooked meal it’s okay, but it lacked authenticity. Szechuan dishes are really my favorite and on this visit, my meal(about $ 12) was barely satisfactory. They’ll have to improve if they want return business.
