I was thinking of dinner and didnt feel like cooking. So I was thinking of what fast food to pick up. Boston Market, my standby for decent, quick, and filling fast food, popped in my head. Then I realized, I didnt want Boston Market. Then I pondered why. Ive been going to this Boston Market for a long time. In the last year or two the quality of the food has declined. I dont know if its Boston Market as a whole, or just this one restaurant. The chicken has become bland. All the flavor is in the skin, the meat has no flavor in it. The same goes for the stuffing. The stuffing always was the first pick for the sides and I would eat every bite of it. Now, even if I do get the stuffing, I never finish it. The consistency of the cornbread varies wildly as well. Sometimes its so soft and overly moist it just falls apart. Sometimes it is to chewy. The few other sides I like to get are also hit or miss. A while back, for some reason they started selling ribs as an option. I tried it. Unfortunately. The rib portion is stupidly small and raises the price ridiculously high for what you are getting. They barely have any meat on the bones, they arent that tender, and again, the meat is bland. It is so mediocre, they have to smother it with BBQ sauce. Sure, they sell other things… But, come on… You go to Boston Market for the rotisserie chicken, not for sandwiches or pot pies. So until I hear the food is better, no more Boston Market for me. ________________________________________________ Well, I went back to BM because they have their Parmesan Tuscan chicken, which I love. Went there the other day to get it and it was great. Decided to go back a few days later to get it again and the chicken was tasteless. Even with the Parmesan Tuscan cheese and herbs had no flavor. Sigh.

Food’s always pretty good, when I can get it. I don’t know what it is about this place, but they consistently seem to be caught off-guard by typical meal rush times. I’ve been told three times in the past couple months that’s I’d have to wait 20 – 30 minutes for turkey and/or meatloaf. If I wanted to wait a half-hour for my food, I’d go to an actual restaurant or actually cook at home. There’s never a clear cut manager visible out front; maybe that’s passer of the problem. It’s a shame, because I’m generally very appreciative of quick, relatively healthy meal options on the way home after a long day at work. I’m probably not gonna give this place another chance.

Ok, no more BM for me… Speaking of BM, I was in the bathroom for close to 24 hours after eating there. I went there near closing time and the food wasn’t so fresh looking. I figured, hey, I’m a man, I have a pair, I’ll eat it why not. Fast FWD to later that evening and I’m purging out of both ends like Kenny’s dad in South Park. Brutal. So hard I hurt my back. I wound up missing a racing event that weekend. I was not happy. I did learn one cool thing. Lemons and sprite are a remedy for nausea and vomiting. So I guess two good things happened. I learned something and I lost 5 pounds. I weighed myself after things calmed down. I told a couple friends about it and they looked at me like I was retarded. «yeah dude, I never eat there anymore»… thanks for letting me know guys… So unless you want to lose some weight real fast, maybe to fit in an old pair of jeans or just want to clean out your system, beware of this Boston Market. Or at least only eat there when the food is constantly being replenished during busy hours.

The food is good but like the other reviews, the manager has to have the absolute WORST customer service skills I have EVER seen in my life. Someone should fire her!!! She is horrible! I don’t know if it is racism but I am hispanic and she was extremely rude to me and took FOREVER to give me my food. She is horrible!!!

Here to pick up thanksgiving meal. So folks who ordered online and thought they paid online have to still stand in a loooooong line for an hour so cashier can swipe the card again. Wtf is the use of online credit card ordering. Terrible terrible. Will never order from this location again.

I’ve got news for ya, folks. I’m white as can be and I got the same cold reception and lack of customer service the previous reviewers claimed as racism. I think the people who work here are more just miserable people who hate everyone. Two stars for the turkey being moist like I expect it to be.

The food here is so fresh and the prices are very reasonable. The service was very friendly, & I love the menu of items to order from that are under 550 calories. A great low calorie meal where else can you find that? It’s sad that some people imagine racism no matter where they go.

I was visiting family here and had an odd experience. To piggyback off of Baby L. I believe the owners of this particular Boston Market are of Indian descent. Some Indians don’t like Muslims, likely due to the ongoing issue with Pakistan but I could be wrong. I am a white guy and black people ordered after me, we were both treated indifferently; seemed the customer service was simply lacking all in all. So what was odd? Well, if Gordon Ramsay came in he’d notice a lot of little pet peeves that just really interrupt the dining experience, that is if one can have a dining experience at a fast food place. For one, the people working there seemed out in la la land. You have to ask for BBQ sauce, then they give it to you in a plastic ramekin. WTF? Why can’t it just be out in little packets or in a container like they have at other places? It felt like they were doing me a favor by giving me sauce. The cashier carried the food to our table, which is nice, but she then left the other customers hanging. Secondly, and most annoyingly of all, we were given plasticware. The chicken was so hot and the plasticware so flimsy that it disfigured i.e. melted the fork and knife. Trying to cut the chicken, even though it’s tender and juicy, was almost comical. We ended up just blowing on the chicken and picking it up with our hands like cavemen, tearing off pieces with our teeth to then dip it in the sauce that they microwaved to a heat no less than molten lava. The napkins were packed so tightly into the container that he-man would have a tough time getting them out. We just dug our burnt fingertips into the middle, managing to rip out small shreds of napkin fragments. There are other quirks I noticed, but perhaps it was just an off day.

Racist place. Delicious food. Note: This location is actually in Sterling, not Vienna. The food is delicious but unless you’re white and not dressed in Arab clothing as we were, the customer service leaves much to be desired for. We went at opening time on a weekday and ordered a full meal over the phone, to eat in. As soon we entered, the manager frowned. She rang everything up, without saying one word, and handed us our receipt. She slid our food across the counter and walked away. She was the most unfriendly restaurant patron ever. We have always ordered online but this time we ordered over the phone before we arrived. The horrible customer service has made us rethink ordering from this location again, especially when there are thousands of franchise chains like it. This same manager lady — possibly Iranian or middle eastern — was ONLY like this with us. We were not the only people eating in there either. She was warm and friendly to a white woman who came in for an interview and also to a white man, who came in with a baby. She greeted him completely different. She asked about his child, carrassed the baby, and was jovial and upbeat in her demeanour. So basically, we were singled out. Moving on. The food, as always at this establishment, was fresh and delicious. We ordered individual plates with half a chicken and a side of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Hot and tender chicken peices, a little on the fatty side, but moist and tasty. The sides were served warm. I think if you order online, you get a little more bang for your buck when it comes to the sides. Nonetheless, everything was melt in our mouth quality. We were even able to get a quarter cup of extra hot gravy at this place for free when asked and not from those tiny containers that only holds a few tablespoons. And I loved how they have self-serviced fountain drinks, too. Very cool. What I learned: Unless you’re white or do not look visibly different from the crowd, bottom line is to order online and don’t eat in. Or go to a different location if you want to eat in. Its a franchise. The food is more or less the same everywhere. Or deal with it. And hope that lady at the front counter in the mornings gets fired.
