Okay, so I HAD layered hair that was a V shape and I asked if we can just trim my hair and re-layer it because it was too long and my layers weren’t as sharp as before. I didn’t think it’ll look like one downwards slope!(My boyfriend said you can solve the slope by using y=mx+b LOL) and goodness, my «bangs»! So if you don’t know, layers should be gradually go down. But the first layer is literally 2.5 inches away from the second layer. Just looking from the back, you would think she knew how to cut a slope with my bangs. In their defense, I didn’t pay for blow drying, but why would I pay an EXTRA $ 10 for air? My haircut was already $ 50(because I tipped her $ 13, which I regret so much). I’m still flabbergasted that this place had such a high rating and how I paid FIFTYDOLLARS for this chaos! I literally could have a 5 year old cut my hair for free and it would look 10x better. Please visit my page if you’d like to see my hair. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACE!!! I mean unless you want pay for an overpriced haircut that would make your friends and family question their relationship with you. Then be my guest.

Amanda is new at Artisan Hair Design, but I have been a client of hers for many years now and would like to recommend her to everyone. Amanda does more than just cut my hair – she designs it. As my image consultant, she has taken my hair from below my shoulders, to a super-short pixie cut, and now I’m growing it back out! She has never let my hair look like it’s in the«growing phase,» but has always helped me make sure it appears like it’s supposed to be that length. Beyond Amanda’s ability to listen to what I want, she is excellent at providing recommendations based on the texture and type of hair that I have. Amanda is also an incredibly skilled up-do and special-occasion stylist. If you have a wedding, prom, or any other occasion for which you want a gorgeous hair design, Amanda’s your girl. On a side note, I’d like to point out that Amanda loves to get to know her clients. She will happily engage in conversation with you, and if you happen to like Disney, Musicals, or shows on Netflix, you will become fast friends! I highly recommend Amanda for any cut, color, or styling need you have.

Aubrie was wonderful, always cheerful and polite. I had a ‘social living’ groupon and I will come back to Aubrie. I love my high lights(they are nice and even and I don’t have big stripes on my bangs… like from other salons) Everyone loved my haircut and how she cut it in the back(bob), it looks more like a European haircut, my german friends loved it(and Germany has very good hair dressers!) Thanks soo much

I have been a client of Artisan Hair Design for 16 years. I was a walk in originally and have stayed with them all these years through 3 location changes. First with Patricia, then with Christie. I am definitely a fan. The salon isn’t big and they don’t have other services(other than hair related services), but that is what I love about them. It’s like an episode of Cheers… everyone knows your name. It is a family there and very comfortable. It is obvious everyone cares about their clients and each other. The stylists keep their education up because I have had some rockin’ haircuts! I usually tell Christie to «make me pretty» and she waves her magic scissors and viola!! I was just there last week and got the short angled bob and I have had soooo many compliments on it! I love it!

I would like to preamble my notes with two points that I believe are vital to the total review: A) They are 100% based on exactly one stylist, and that is Aubrie, and B) I am an idiot that showed up like 5 seconds until closing(I didn’t know!) looking for a walk-in appointment. The owner(I guess?) disdainfully informed me of this, while Aubrie cheerfully took me in. While she was off-hours. Seriously, don’t do thIs to her, but it was neat. Anyway, on to the hair: Honestly, it took me a minute to post this, mostly because it took me a while to love my hair. I’ve had long hair my whole life, even if it’s been a disaster along the way. I let Aubrie have at it, telling her only«short is good.» That’s it. So she cut my hair super short, like I wanted, but different. SO when I say it took me a while to love my hair, I mean as long as it took for 7 people in my office building I’d never spoken to before to tell me they loved it, 3 friends to tell me I look like their favorite Final Fantasy character, and 1 particular guy who said I looked cute. I LOVEYOU, AUBRIE.
