Dequindre & 16 Mile Shell

I never thought I’d be reviewing a gas station on Unilocal,but… here we go!
I stopped by this place because I was in the area, and it came up on the gas price app on my phone. Not only was this station on the route to my destination, but it was also the cheapest station in the area.
My credit card was acting goofy, but the attendant (probably the owner?) was extremely nice to me about the whole situation. Too many times, I have had attendants at other stations be mean or mock me if my credit card doesn’t work. (My card has been declined a handful of times at various businesses… the credit card company says it’s because the business’s credit card machine goes offline temporarily and that they should try again. The businesses often refuse to try again, though, maintaining that my card is declined when I have only spent 10−15% of my limit. Ugh.)
Another cool thing about this station is that it is affiliated with the Kroger fuel rewards program. I don’t know all the details, but I’m pretty sure I got a slight discount on gas because of my Kroger plus card.
Additionally, all of the beverages in the coolers had price tags on them! Most gas stations do not list any prices anywhere, so it was refreshing to know in advance how much my drink was going to cost… AND it was really cheap!
The station itself is pretty small, so you’re not going to find a rainbow of Mountain Dew flavors or ten varieties of jerky, but I will definitely be a repeat customer, thanks to the great pricing, Kroger benefits, and pleasant experience overall!
