Beyond disappointed. Based on pictures and reviews, this was going to be the best chinese food place in my area. It was anything but. We ordered the Orange Chicken Combo, Almond Boneless Chicken Combo, and the Hor Beef Special. Everything we ordered tasted like sesame oil. Everything. The rice, egg rolls, all 3 entrees. Aside from this, the rice was horrible. Dark brown would lead me to believe it would have flavor. I was wrong, it was dry and just tasted like a vat of sesame oil. The beef hor is god awful. The noodles were dry and drenched in sesame oil, little flavor elsewhere. The beef was pasty and flavorless. Everything stuck together in the container and didn’t break apart. The Almond Chicken is inedible. Its so rubbery, I literally cannot chew it. The gravy is a starchy, dark brown color. Not the golden, glazy looking gravy I see in the photos. Very sad. the orange chicken was the most edible, but still drowned out by a lingering sesame taste. I’m saddened by this entire meal, my whole family is. EDIT* Apparently, they’re aware of how bad your experience is expected to be, because they put«No returns or refunds» right on the receipt. I am so appalled by the lack of care and attention to food and customers by this place.

Come here all the time! General tso is delicious as well as their wonton soup! Food is always made in a timely manner and always tastes freshly cooked! 6÷15÷16 came here for dinner then realized they had a sign posted saying«under new management» the staff was super polite but the food has changed completely and I will probably not be back. My General tso was soggy and mushy and it used to be crispy and delicious. Very sad about this. I loved the old chengs :(

This was our first time here Sue greeted us and another family immediately. We were seated promptly and asked what we would like to drink. Atmosphere: Clean, well lit, comfortable seating, and overall nice and open on the inside. Food: Orange chicken with, chicken fried rice and egg roll. The chicken was flavorful but the rice was mushy and lacked flavor. The egg roll was over powered by a frozen food type taste, too many sprouts and was extremely salty. General Tsao Chicken, chicken fried rice, and spring roll. Chicken had good flavor a bit too sweet for my liking, rice was mushy and my spring roll was surprisingly full of flavor. Crab Rangoon, was good nothing out of the ordinary. Pork LoMein was full of flavor and veggies however it lacked the pork we got some pieces just not noticeable. Service: Above average Sue was attentive and helpful. We would come here again but only during lunch specials.

FINALLY! An awesome Chinese dining experience in this area! New ownership(an extremely experienced and capable Chinese Chef) took over this restaurant June 1, 2016. I’ve been to this restaurant previously under former ownership and the food was underwhelming. I must say the difference is night and day! I ordered the Mei Fun which isn’t normally prepared spicy. Ordered it spicy and it was AWESOME! It is a true sign of a very good experienced chef that is able to customize a dish without any obvious signs the dish was changed in any manner. The chicken was tender without being dry. Vegetables were cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back and encourage anyone looking for a quality Chinese or Thai(yes they do have several Thai dishes as well) to give them an opportunity to tantalize your taste buds. The premium fortune cookies that they provide are different than anywhere else also. They are crispy and delicious. Well done and welcome to the area!

New ownership. Though, I hadn’t eaten here previously. Excellent service. Clean restaurant. Yummy crab Rangoon. Everything we ordered was very good and they were very kind about substituting out an ingredient for me. Will definitions be back.

This was hands down the best Chinese around. My daughter has a gluten allergy and they were SOOO accommodating– they created a dish just for her every time we went and they were such friendly people. We raved about it to everyone we knew. That is until tonight. It’s been about a month or so since we’ve eaten here and unfortunately tonight is our last time. They are under new ownership and my husband joked with the new owner that the food better be the same– thinking it would be. Nope not at all. The most bland tasteless lifeless Chinese. The mall is better. Panda Express is better. I’m really disappointed in this and sad that once again we can’t get good Chinese in the area every once in a while.

Well everyone. Welcome to the same Chinese food you can get anywhere else. Accompanied by the same menu with the same chicken that’s just coated a dozen or so different ways. They are under new management. Don’t bother. If the previous owners moved I want to know where they went. It was my favorite place. Quality dishes. Decent portions. Care in preparation and some originality. Not now. Don’t waste your money on McChinese garbage. Such a shame. –former customers.

I was visiting a friend in Michigan, glad did I found this spot. Awesome authentic Chinese cuisine. For its prices, maybe I am from NY, its very reasonable. Quality and rich sauce on most dishes, we had fun there. The place is clean, top-notch and friendly. It has been run by some good family management here. I personally recommend their noodles and fried rice. I would love to order here again for a quick bite. Unfortunately, i dont live there.

We use to be repeat customers and loved there food it always was fresh and the chicken was not like that bulk style with all the breading. But with our order today I found out that management changed on the 6÷1÷16 being loyal customers we had our usual order general tso with hot and sour soup and my wife had her house lomain(come to find out they changed the name of it according to wok to you) now I try not to put bad reviews but for the price of the food and delivery we were around $ 40 so I think it’s time to say something. They now use that crap chicken with all the breading my general tso chicken was just horrible my wife’s lo Mein tasted like chalk and was not seasoned well at all, and to top it all off the soup tasted like a dirty sock so I am sorry but you just lost a great customer and I was your first customer when you opened I recommended you to all my friends but I’m sorry to say no more.

Better than all the other chinese food in the area, I had bad chinese food and it’s not pretty. This place is good if you want some Chinese food and don’t feel like driving far and live close by.

Great food, prices, and the nicest people. Definitely a go-to, they give you large dinner portions that come with chicken fried rice and a huge eggroll.

In this area there is literally no good chinese places. This is the first decent one. I have only been here once and all I can recommend are the noodle dishes. They are pretty comparable to China town restaurants in chicago. The Hor fun hong kong style dish is pretty good. You taste the smokey delicious wok flavor and probably my favorite dish. I also had the chicken lo mien which was pretty good also. Wonton soup was no good don’t waste your money. The egg drop soup was average. I definitely want to go back and try other things. Reading past reviews my new order would be Schezuan chicken, pepper steak and fried rice.

Just eat here. Wow. I’ve been looking for a great Chinese restaurant in this area since I moved out here in 2008. Found it! And they just recently opened. The schezuan chicken is made with an oil based sauce instead of gravy. That was my biggest need. The dish itself has something to it that is indescribable. It’s just satisfying. Maybe it’s the sauce, maybe it’s the vegetable assortment. Either way, I think of it often. My husband likes the breaded chicken dishes. Same thing in that department. The flavors are fresh and clean. The sauce having a little something different. The egg rolls are bordering on being spring rolls that are fried. The filling is again very fresh and crisp. The fried rice is so yummy! I think it’s better with a little of the schezuan sauce from my meal and my husband says it does need some more liquid as he adds soy sauce to it. Oh, and the crab ragoon isn’t bad either! Pick up or dine in. The inside space is large and inviting.

Great new Chinese place on the NW corner. I say this because its kinds hard to see from Hayes. Ultra clean on the inside, with tons of seating and lots of booths. The gentleman who answered the phone was really easy to understand which made placing my order a breeze. I noticed when I walked in a sign said Free tea, soup and cookies with every entrée, nice bonus for dining in. We had almond boneless chicken combo, Szechuan chicken combo– Extra Hot, and moo goo gia pan combo. All came with chicken fried rice and egg roll. All dishes were very good, and the rice was excellent as it had tons of chicken, carrots and peas. I was slightly disappointed in the egg roll as it was all cabbage and no bean sprouts. I’m the person that doesn’t think its an egg roll unless its made with bean sprouts, so altho it was good, and I’m certain ill eat them again, this was just a personal weakness for them in my eyes. All in all, its good, and we’ll be back. They did good with our basic standbys, so I’m curious to try some of their house specials next time.

I really had high hopes considering the reviews. I so desperately want to find a good Chinese place on this side of town. Unfortunately, my search continues. Cheng’s is a bit hard to find at the end of the strip, not as close to Hayes as it is to 19 because of the angle. It’s cute inside, you can tell it used to be a Coney or family place. The server was very nice and checked on us regularly. First off, the meal comes with egg drop soup. Wonton is more, we took the upcharge. I’m not sure why, no other place I’ve been to do this. It was pretty good wonton, with a smoky broth but not $ 1 better. The kids menu, like with other Chinese places, has very little on it(chicken nuggets and strips). That means we need to order a full noodle dish for my little one. I’m used to it, but why? How hard is it to make a small bowl of noodles with some chicken and sauce for $ 5? Not Cheng’s fault, it’s the state of the industry. My wife’s almond boneless chicken was ok, not much flavor. My General Tso’s was fried to within an inch of its life, most of the chicken was very chewy with very few«meaty» pieces. It didn’t matter if the sauce was good. The fried rice had very little flavor, some bits of carrots and peas and pork in it, but kind of dry. Everything looked nice, but didn’t taste that great and was a little high-priced for a Chinese place(although the portions were generous so that kind of makes up for it). But if you take it home and don’t want to eat it the next day, portion size doesn’t really matter.

Wow, you know it’s gotta be good, if you eat at noon and by 5 your still satisfied! Hell, 6… I still could’ve waited to eat. We had drunken noodles and pad thai, both with tofu(hmmmm…maybe it was the tofu??) and they both rocked! Spring rolls were included as well. It was very good, and I’d definitely return. Hell, I think I will ;-)

This was our first visit. The food was delicious. The service was fast, and friendly. We’ll definitely be back. I enjoyed it much more than the other Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood. Cheng was our waiter. We had a very enjoyable conversation with him.

My husband and I have found an amazing Asian restaurant. We have been searching for several years as most of them are hit and miss. The egg rolls are amazing. Both times we have ordered, I’ve got the sesame chicken which was fantastic. My husband ordered drunken noodle the first time and pepper steak the second time. He said both have outdone his expectations. We love it! We will recommend it! Patrick, the server, was such a gentleman. He always served the lady first and talked to me first. It was very chivalrous.
