A good place to shop for middle eastern food. However, the place is not as clean as it should be for a market.

If you’re familiar with this area you know that it’s packed with little middle eastern markets.(It’s jokingly referred to as «little Baghdad» for a reason!) This one is probably one of my favorites for one reason– the fresh breads, meat pies, cheese pies, and other freshly baked goods! They usually look like little pizzas topped with: zaatar, cheese, zaatar and cheese, spiced veggies, cheese and olives, stuffed meat pies ect. All of which are great but not better than what my mom and grandmother make!(Being Chaldean makes it mandatory to say that– but it’s true!) anyways, for being store bought they’re very good! Just throw it in the toaster to get it nice and crispy and there goes dinner or lunch! They have decent quality produce such as tomatoes and cucs all for fairly cheap. They have a pickled veggies bar as well as standard Arabic spices and seasonings, too. Durning lent they sell homemade falafel which is delish when tucked into their warm bread right outta the oven! Yummmm Lots of competition in this area but I prefer them over the rest :)
