Chuck B. is right! Lovin’ Oven can always be counted on for tasty fare in the heart of downtown Stayton. Well, «always» means Wednesday through Friday… but nevertheless! If you go for lunch their soups are great, if not a little gloppy, but the best on the menu is the Spicy Jack sandwich, piled with meat and a little kick with pepperjack cheese.
Cakes are all delicious, especially After School if you can get your hands on it, but the prize treat is the mint brownie. Always satisfying, always cool and creamy, and never makes you feel the «I-​just-​ate-​a-​huge-​piece-​of-​cake» guilt. Sigh.
