It’s clean, well taken care of and for the price just what needed. And didn’t realize, they have an electric car charger. Waiting on my new electric CMax from Ford, this would have been great if the car had arrived

For the price I paid to be honest I was expecting the rooms to be bigger. But they are really clean and relatively new. I agree with another post that the bathrooms could use some work. I didn’t have any issues with the staff when I was here but I wouldn’t describe them as friendly. All in all nothing wrong with this hotel I had a good experience here. I didn’t get to use the pool so cannot comment. But the location is definitely very close to highway and so restaurants and grocery stores nearby.

This is an economy hotel and so cramped — you get what you pay for — this place was pretty clean, STAFFWASVERYNICE — price was inexpensive. .. personally I would rather pay a few $ more, and have the comfy bed and pillows. It was OK — no major complaints — it was worth the price I paid for the night.

Looking for a large spacious room? Then this isn’t the place for you! The price was right for a clean, compact room. The room uses space well, very Asian like. Check in & out was smooth, quiet location with an amazing view of mountains & valley! Pool was clean. Only bad thing was they ran out of chocolate chip cookies! Great restaurants in area as well.

Previous reviews mentioned this hotel was under renovation/recently renovated. I have to think that’s all but done at this point. Driving up the hotel looks well maintained, if a bit plain. The room we were in seemed to have been recently cared for in terms of sheets and other removable items, but the bathroom showed a bit more age. It was clean and well maintained, but not«new». The rooms are small, but have larger than normal built in desks and even a window seat over the air conditioner. One major plus for me is an AC unit with a digital temperature control, no guessing with the window unit. Staff was extremely friendly. There is a very small pool suitable for a quick dip, and a swing set for the kids to the side. The view is WONDERFUL, and easily the best thing about this hotel. You can see across the whole valley, it’s a view that should cost much, much more. If you’re looking for an overnight stay while traveling this is a great bet, easy on-off I-81, nearby Walmart and dozens of restaurants. If you’re looking for a longer stay, the small rooms may become a bit of an issue. Note that to get up the hill there is a winding driveway. I would not recommend with a super-long trailer, like a 53′ car hauler. It should be fine for trailers up to 30′ or so, longer and I might look elsewhere.

Place was descent. Man was gruppy. Called to see if they do anything for anniversaries but they don’t. Pool is tiny & so is the breakfast selection. AC works incredibly well!

It is cheap? And you are not terrified to look around too closely? Sad when these are 2 of the first things that pop into my mind. It is also kind of neat that they are perched up the side of the hill so you get a nice view of the area when you leave the following morning. Tiny rooms but when you are traveling how often do you stay in your room other than to sleep and get clean?

I chose to stay here for the work week in Staunton instead of the Choice Hotel brands(Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn) because the corporate rate for Microtel was less. If you have never stayed at a Microtel, it is the most accurately named hotel chain. Micro-spaced rooms. TV’s are perched atop the closet at an angle for viewing in bed. Having said that, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and everything worked well. Breakfast is cereal and pastries. Front desk personnel, while friendly, looked more like a housekeeper that was working the front desk. Summation: nice stay, just understand you are staying in an economy chain.

For the price the hotel can’t be beat. I needed a hotel room for the night yesterday and called from the road. I got the last room available. The front desk staff(one lady) was very nice and professional. Check in was painless. The lobby area is small as is the breakfast area. The room was nice and clean but very hot. One pet peeve I have is hotels who have their cleaning staff turn off the A/C’s after cleaning. It took a long time to cool down my room. Another issue here, and one I’m seeing more and more, is the sheet on the bed. The bed here had a top sheet as its bottom sheet. These always come untucked while sleeping leaving the mattress exposed. I carry a box of safety pins for this reason. I used them last night and the sheet still came untucked at my feet. The hotel is easy to get to and near plenty of places to eat and near historic Staunton. I would stay here again without hesitation.
