Worst gel manicure. This place does hair, so a VERY limited gel polish selection. One manicure station. First of all, took her almost an hour just to get the old gel polish off my nails– whatever remover solution she used wasn’t working so she buffed and filed every nail until the gel was gone. This of course weakened my nails. Then she filed my nails too narrow next to the cuticles making them have this weird indentation on either side near the nail bed. 3 days after my manicure, 4 of my nails began splitting horizontally at the weak points where she filed the narrow space near my nail bed. So I had to clip the down to the shortest length so they wouldn’t catch on anything and tear! Then, the gel on two fingers began to lift at the base of my nail. This was hands down the absolute worst gel manicure I’ve ever received from any salon– and I thought moving back to the island would be an improvement from where I lived before! Not returning!

Got a new haircut today. I felt so relaxed I was falling asleep. I showed her what I wanted, 2 different kinds of bangs. She gave me best of both. Thank you.

This review is for the nail services. Today I had my second manicure/pedicure at Tres Suave and both times Aida(pronounced I-E-da) did an exceptionally thorough and careful job. She spent over an hour and a half with me both times so make sure you have the time to spend there when you go and you won’t be disappointed. The price is right too at $ 18 for a mani/pedi. I’ve been to more expensive salons that didn’t do nearly as beautiful a job as Aida at Tres Suave. She’s not there on Wednesdays or Sundays though, so there are no nail services on those days. It’s probably best to call ahead.
