Food quality is deteriorating fast. I have done take out and dine in here and today I picked up an order of 5dishes. Got home to find that they messed up one of the dishes but live far enough for the drive go be not worth it. We start to eat and 3 of 5 people immediately point out that the food tastes old. The kebabs were stiff, the skewers were dried up and even the sauce was frozen over as if it was reheated from the refrigerator after some time. All in all a really bad experience for some over priced Turkish food. Probably will be the last time eating or ordering there.

It was great when it opened, then took a deep plunge in quality but now it seems to have come back! I always order the Chicken Kebob and Falafel. I’ve had some other things as well and everything is pretty good. The bread is fresh as well. The portions are back to normal again, which is Nice! I dont know about service as I always order to go. A year ago — I ordered something and it was pretty much raw and tiny. Glad the place is back!

I have eaten quite a lot of Turkish food to render an expert opinion and Seaside is pretty good-it is of course, not Taci’s Beyti or Anatolian Gyro in Brooklyn, and if Unilocal had half star system, I would rate it as a solid 3.5 stars, however, I am adding half a star because of consistency. This is one of the places we normally order from when we gather with my old-time friends who live nearby and it has never disappointed. It’s hot, fresh, and the portions are more than generous, I love their rice. The chicken kebab is succulent, and the portion contains 10 large cubes, big enough to feed three of my kids, of which one eats rather well now. The appetizers are also very good, we normally get an assortment of 5 salads. They are also generous on the bread, very useful to pick up all these spreads.

I was searching for a great quality gyro. I could not find one. I tried all the places on staten island even in Manhattan and it was all the same old same old frozen lamb meat that was warmed and put on a supermarket pita bread. I was so happy I came here. Authentic lamb on the basting grill going round and round next to a chicken gyro grill going round and rount. Wow. It was amazing. I dream about this place. the food is EXCELLENT so good I am addicted to this place. very reasonably priced too. If you have the need to excellent, not good, not satisfying but excellent quality Mediterranean food with a Turkish flair then this is your place. Hands down the best place in staten island.

Food here is amazing. Everything is good. I love the salads and the bread which is baked fresh. The only downside is the people that work there sometimes don’t seem happy to help customers. I guess they don’t like their job. But I LOVE the food :)

Well, the experience here was so unpleasant and awful, I didn’t know where I should start. We were at Seaside last year for the first time and overall experience was fine, 2 months ago dining experience was mediocre. Today, we gave them another chance… and it was disastrous. 1. They had«lunch special» banquet for 30+ ppl, so all of waiter staff were busy. But the trays for dirty dishes were next to us, so every time they brought dirty dishes, we heard loud clinking, and you can imagine, we felt like we were sitting in the kitchen. I know, they rushed and it was banquet for 30 – 40 ppl, they tried to give them service but we were customers too and they could try work quietly(this did not change even after we spoke to manager) 2. I ordered Beef Shish kebab; some pieces of meat were well done and some were raw with blood dropping on my rice pilaf, i don’t know how it is possible? We asked to grill more half of the portion, and after 10 minuts they brought us burned meat. I think, 19 $ for burnt dish is overpaid. 3. When I went to the restroom with my child 2nd times, for the second time waitress asked me «You want something?“it sounded like WFT you want again?, because to reach restroom we had to cross the banquet hall 2 times and I think she wanted show us that we interrupt her work or may be she thought that people don’t have to go to restroom when she is working. Overall, I didn’t recommend Seaside to anyone, their attitude and their dishes are not worth for the money they charge you. It was my second and last experience in this restaurant, fortunately there are more another places, where you can enjoy dinner without clinking of dishes and rude waiters.

Loved the traditional Turkish cuisine. Fresh breads, great shepherds salad and awesome Kebabs. My wife enjoyed the Italian dishes as well, and it was great to have both under one roof. The baklava was also on point, so save some room for desert. If you come during the summer season it’s nice to take a stroll on the boardwalk afterwards.

Very disappointed in what’s become of the place over time. It used to be great food. But the last few times were very disappointing. Got a delivery and the food was burnt so black that the lamb chops tasted like carbon of the dirty grill. Old kefte, and adana. Did not taste fresh. Only the rice was fresh. All of this for almost 90 bucks! I’m sorry but get your house in order or you will lose one of your best customers

Love the food here. The portions are good sized. Chicken shish kabab is great. For appetizers their fried calamari is amazing. The yogurt and hot sauce are made in house and taste amazing on any kababs and dish. Their bread is baked fresh and simply amazing. I am glad Staten Island has some ethnic food places.

I would like to update my 2013 review. I have been back at least once a month since then and I have to say this restaurant has completely turned around. They have the same GREAT quality Mediterranean food as when they started out but the service has immensely improved. The servers are now very friendly and accommodating. The bread is fresh and hot and the oil is AMAZING. I like the oil so much that vie attempted to purchase it from them but they unfortunately do not sell it. The Spanish guy that brings out the wine is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The owners niece is also very friendly and she improves the overall atmosphere for the restaurant. Overall the restaurant has greatly improved in customer service and the food has always been great. They still have the lamb chop in the mixed grill so dont worry!

Had the swordfish kebab. It was amazing. Didn’t give it a five because the mashed potatoes were presented in such a bizarre way! Husband had the salmon which was also excellent. Always have great food.

Food is good… Delivery takes forever… The staff is rude here… I forever have gotten salad instead of rice with my entries, I have virtually ordered food from there twice a week… Now I am being told there is an extra charge for salad when I asked for it instead of rice… When I said as long as I am paying for the salad I want the rice… The idiot then tells me the rice will be extra… It took 5 minutes to rectify the situation after I pointed out just look at the menu it seems small, but this is not the first time I have had an issue with the people answering the phone…

First time eating here and I enjoyed it. The exterior is deceiving, looks like a weird bar or fast food joint but on the inside it looks like an actual restaurant. The food was delicious. Falafel is very tasty just wish it weren’t on a wrap. The shepherd salad is divine. So simple but the flavors are robust. Very refreshing and it’s a must have. The prices are beyond reasonable.

Seaside Turkish is one of our favorite places to dine. We’ve been coming here since they opened. The food is very flavorful and reasonably priced. The service has been a bit troublesome in the past but I think they’ve improved in the recent year or so. We do realize that Seaside does a tremendous amount of take out orders perhaps the reason why the table service suffered. Nonetheless, we will continue coming here even though it is a 25 minute drive.

The kabobs and meat is really good here. Everything was very tender. Leftover kabobs even taste good the next day The portions are really generous here, and the food is good. I took my family to come and eat, and they really enjoyed it. Bathroom is nice and clean. Parking is a bit difficult, but found a spot on a side street. I came here twice, and one server was very nice and attentive(she was paki/Indian), and the other time the server was a bit grumpy, but not rude(a Turkish lady).

I’m sorry this ain’t Turkish food! I have tasted way better. Still struggle to find my Istanbul in Staten Island! They weren’t in stock on common wines on a Thursday. And their food was a bit tasteless. More Americanized then Turkish. I tasted poor food quality and didn’t did it that much friendly when we went to visit. Maybe another visit is needed but so far I wouldn’t recommend Thursday nights!

Disclaimer: I only do take-outs from this place. (I did try dine-in couple times in the past, but service was not the best, so I gave up.) I have my «usuals» that I love and order most of the times. Cacik and hummus to start with — and they give you huge lavash bread to go with it, too. Consistent, fresh and delicious. Lamb Iskander is really good here. Love the sauce, and the fact that yogurt comes in separate container from hot portion of the dish. Portions overall are huge, I always have leftovers. They do not do delivery, but if you call ahead with your order, it’s a quick pickup, usually within 20 min.
