Sorry Peking Taste but you have fallen victim to the Staten Island syndrome I call SImediocrity. The prices have gone way up, due to ludicrous rents. The soup is bland. The fried rice is greasy soy sauce soaked rice. The worst thing is that everything has waaaay to much corn starch. Another one I have crossed off my list.

This rating is for the New Tottenville location The food here was disappointing and not worth the wait for this place to open Everything was bland and had no taste More vegetables than meat I can definitely say will not be back any time soon

I came in for some craved takeout. The egg roll was pretty good, even came across some shrimp in it. However, the lo-mein/fried rice combo lacked flavor. Minus a star because they do not have a lunch-special on their menu.

This place sucks! Boneless are fatty and full of oil. Shredded beef was all veggies. The shrimp with broccoli had a strange taste it was ginger or mint something that didn’t belong. Never again feel like shit and just finished eating. Wonton soup was as dark as motor oil. 1 star because I have to in order to post.

Hmmm, I was lucky to find this restaurant at roughly 9:30 pm on Easter Sunday, since they were one of only two establishments open in the entire strip. I was starving, far enough from home, and feeling as if I just won a scratch-off when I drove by. With that being said, the restaurant was well kept, quiet. I ordered the chicken and broccoli to go-pretty good.

Not sure why people rate this place so high. The food is oily, undercooked and delivery takes a long time. Disgusting Chinese food, that I wouldn’t pick over airport food. I’m serious, most airports have better Chinese food. You might as well book a flight :)

I spend a couple of weeks a year on SI, I live on Asian food, and this is my go-to place for Chinese food on the island. I haven’t found anything that I didn’t like. The place is clean, well organized, fast, and has a huge menu.

I recently tried Peking Taste by delivery at my dad’s house since he lives close to this Arden location. I am SUPER picky about Chinese food and their food is pretty tasty. We ordered fried rice, white rice, egg rolls, chicken & broccoli, BBQ spareribs and dumplings. I tasted everything I really enjoyed it. I like my spareribs well done with burnt tips and they were cooked to perfection. The egg rolls had little bits of shrimp and the dumplings weren’t too oily. They gave a bunch of fortune cookies to with our order so I was happy.

Very good food. The boneless spare ribs in particular are delicious. Will definitely go back.

This place is legit. Your typical Chinese Take-Out/Delivery menu, but the portions are big, delivery times are fast, prices are reasonable and the food is good! I just moved from the North Shore of SI, and I could not find any Chinese spot with any combination of the above; and it’s right behind my new house!

This place has been my bf’s favorite chinese take out place for years, but being a chinese, I was never into«american chinese food». Last week I finally had a chance to try the food there, and I finally understand why my bf love it so much. The taste of the food here is quite authentic, and i love that they are not overly sweet or greasy. We had sesame cold noodle, hot and sour soup, fried chicken wings, and kung pao chicken, and they are all very very delicious. The cold noodle is very very good, the sauce was well balance, and the portion is HUGE! For less than 4 bucks, it is enough to feed two adult. The chicken wings are good, so does the soup. Beware of the soup if you cannot eay spicy food, because they are pretty spicy. The kung pao chicken is freshly made, with the right amount of flavor. For just two of us, we had enough left over for another meal! I will def ordered from here again.

I love Peking Taste! Being that I’m chinese, and I grew up eating chinese food(or just food, as I would call it, lol) There are times when I’m craving authentic chinese food from chinatown, but due to the distance between me and what seems like the other side of the world, I come to PT and look for my girl Cindy behind the counter. She is so pleasant and always greets me with a smile. The food is delicious, and I never have to wait long for my food(as long as I go in person). The wait may be a bit longer if you order your food for delivery.

This is my new favorite Chinese take out. Everything is fresh and delicious. They make everything as per your taste, if something is listed as hot and spicy and you don’t like spicy food, they will make it mild. They even make a poo, poo plater for 1. No one offers that. The boneless spare ribs are the best I have ever had. They are not fatty at all. The noodles are not greasy, I didn’t think that was even possible. And their deliveries are always so fast. We have never waited more than 40 minutes. One night my family and I decided to order from Peking Taste as we always ordered from Crown Palace. I am so glad we did. As good as Crown Palace is, Peking Taste is better. I will never order from Crown palace again, I’ve found Peking Taste and there is no going back.
