Osaka Oriental Food

I have come here many times in the past. My daughter get bad Mochi balls and the lady would refund me or ask if we would like to replace them for a different flavor. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. #osaka #yelp

Wow… I am speechless how thus place has gone down hill. .what happened?? the rolls have no flagor, the rice is bland and I thinks Spanish rice and not a quality sushi rice grain. Anymore. .I am very sad 5his place was one of my favs… I got an eel avocado with no avocado but they didn’t even toast the eel. It was like rubber. And no eel sauce… what’s the deal!!!

Osaka! Another place I’ve been to a number of times before and after Unilocal came around.
Take this review with a grain of salt as I’m not the sushi expert.
A small place in a small strip mall. It’s easy to drive by this place.
I’ve never had their hot dishes nor have I ordered their sashimi. But I have had a variety of different sushi rolls from them over the years. They offer the traditional stuff along with rolls I’ve never seen anywhere else, like the sukiaki roll and the Texas roll. Both of which a sushi snob would most likely not appreciate due to them having cooked beef inside and one being battered and deep fried. But I’ll be damned if they aren’t great! They offer spicy tuna, dragon rolls, spider rolls… all the sushi rolls that we all know if. Plus some of their own creations.
They have very good cold saki at $ 5.50 for a personal bottle. It’s very good. They also have hot saki and a variety of other Japanese liquids. They also serve a few different beers and of course Sapporo. You know the usual stuff. But for me all good.
The service here has never been bad. There isn’t a bad employee there. They’ll make you feel welcome and everything is speedy for the most part. Sometimes they take a bit to bring out your sushi but that’s ok. Sushi can sometimes take a while and I’m willing to accept that.
I’d suggest you try Osaka. You’ll either love it or find it ok. Either way it’s all good.
EDIT: I’m sad to report that Osaka has closed its doors. It will be missed.

Osaka used to be one of my favorite sushi spots to go to. .but things turned when they were taken over by new owners.
The service isn’t great, the food quality has gone down but remarkably the prices have gone up.
It’s a shame.. We miss Pinky and Elin. they were the heart of that place; just seeing them as we walked through the door meant it was going to be a good experience.
Now​.no Pinky, no Elin, no good food and from now on. no more regular customers.

Ordered from osaka today for the first time and I must say it was the worst sushi I have ever had. The spicy tuna roll was not fresh at all. Please look at the picture I posted. The rice was terrible, it was made with frozen mixed vegetables and the spring rolls had an enormous amount of panko on it, please see picture. Bottom line, I will not be ordering from here ever again. I just hope I don’t get sick from the bad tuna.

I have been going to Osaka for years & have always loved it… Did they change owners because even though the place looks the same, the staff is awful. The waiter was rude and even though our table of 6 were the only ones seated in the restaurant it still took over ONE HOUR to get our meals… I mean really WTH… When we finally got our food everything was hanging off the plates. Just really sloppy! And 2 of the Katsu Don meals had RAW eggs… I just can’t understand what was going on and was given any reason for the wait… If this continues they will no longer be in business… This One Star rating is very generous…

Had dinner earlier and loved the sushi! Miso soup was ok. My brother loves sitting in the area where you take off your shoes! The server made my night when he said he had Strawberry mochi! Definitely will be back!

There is a nasty man that works in there and never gives me what I want. He keeps telling me no can do to anything I want. So annoying

There is a reason! The food is below par.
No flavor, bland, water downed soup — both the Miso and the Beef Udon — terrible (where’s the beef?)
We ordered a bunch of appetizers —
Shumai was luke warm, with a salty dipping sauce
Beef Negamaki — no flavor, very chewy
Tempura — no flavor 2 small shrimp and 4 pieces of vegetables
Tuna and Yellow Tail Rolls — not fresh? Bad quality!
Décor — very tired!
Staff — inattentive!
Osaka Japenese Restaurant just a couple of years ago was really good.
Osaka Asian Fusion — just awful
Left with a bad taste in my mouth
Run! …Stay away from this place …

I try a lot of Japanese restaurant, this is the worst one, terrible food, just rush food .and cheap stuff… terrible service… i really don’t like this restaurant. one time, no next time… sucks…
