We ordered the gyro platter. At first, $ 15 seemed a bit steep, but the amount of food made it well worth it. It’s at least three meals in there. The food is terrific, too. Hands down, it’s the best Greek food I’ve ever had.

I used to love this place. When it moved from Dmitri’s to How Greek It is, I actually got a lovely note from a manager or owner(handwritten, mind you), stating that they were moving, but not to worry, because they would still deliver to us. Fast forward to a month or so ago… And they did! It was fantastic as always. Now today, things change. I’m told that after placing an 80 dollar order, they cannot deliver as they only have one driver, and want me to come pick it up. So I say no, I absolutely cannot pick up the order, and I would like to cancel. I got an «okay» and then the phone call was over. Look, I love your food. That’s why I spend close to 100 dollars feeding my family with it. But really? Accommodate people. I even give sympathy for having one driver. But at least have the wherewithal to shut down online ordering. When you call someone, try to be at least a bit nicer and apologize about not being able to deliver. Something! The food is great. I guess if you’re in the neighborhood, go for it. But don’t expect a delivery.

Service: A++. Food: A+. Visiting SI for business and one of my clients recommended this place. The storefront is unassuming and the décor is fairly unremarkable(it’s been 4 hours and I can barely recall what the chairs looked like)… But the food, you guys. The food and the service were so surprisingly delightful and fulfilling that I’ll recommend this place to anyone visiting Staten Island. Ordered chicken souvlaki + falafel plate with rice + salad. Portions were enormous and every ingredient was fresh and well prepared. Pita has a beautiful texture. Only regret? Should’ve ordered dessert to go. :)

That food is pretty good, I have ordered a few times from this restaurant. Today I ordered a gyro platter, looked delicious and smelled delicious! I opened the container of tzatziki sauce, spread it on, took a bite… it was mayo… they gave me a container of mayo. Not the first time they left out the sauce either. Couldn’t even enjoy my gyro.

I literally love this place! I live on south shore and never had a good greek place to go to, so i gladly take the drive to come here. The food is delish, huge portions, and fresh! The staff is so pleasant and from going so much i have gotten to know the owners, who are literally always there to monitor the quality of the food. You can tell they take pride in what they do! Everything about the place is inviting, they even have special parking just for them which is great since that lot is always crowded. FYI — I always get the spanakopita, and gyro with a greek salad platter

Love love love this place! The food is always fresh and delicious. Their falafels are great, not dry at all. The service is also always very friendly and warm. The staff really tries to make you feel welcome. I hope this place is around for a long time

This place was great! Portions were large, the gyros were spiced nicely and the rice was amazing. I had the chicken gyro, my boyfriend the lamb and beef and we devoured every last piece. Definitely recommended

Very good gyro and chicken souvlaki. Very friendly family owned restaurant. They truly care about their customers. I saw many repeat customers get really warm greetings from the owners. They even brought a small plate of Dimitri’s souvlaki for us to try. We will definitely be back!

Omg! To die for… Literally, I’d die to get my mouth on the food they serve, it’s that darn good! I been on Staten Island for 15 years and have never had Greek food so authentic as they make here. I have tried the other Greek places that I could find on Staten Island but there is no comparison… How Greek It is, is the best! You Ned to try it just once and you’ll be hooked too, like I am… At least once a week or so I’m ordering take out or I dine in… Don’t be fooled at its location, their restaurant is like another world when you stop inside you will be amazed at the décor… And they are an «A» rating by the NYC Board of healt food inspectors…

Came here when I was looking for a slice of pizza and realized there was this new place here. There was no pizza but an awesome new greek place. The service was nice. The food took a while to come but it came fresh and the waitress was great. We had the chicken souvlaki, it came with plenty of chicken in a warm pita with tomato, lettuce, and red onion. We really enjoyed it. We had the tadziki sauce on the side. The sauce also tasted great. The waitress was really nice, we asked for a side of mayonnaise and she brought it out very quick. She also offered to bring packaging for our leftovers including wrapping up the sauce. Everything tastes great. Prices were regular nothing too expensive and not too cheap. There were many baked goods in the counter such as cheese cake and baklava. They also have gyros but only lamb and beef ones no chicken. They also do platters. Great place will come again.

I had the Gyro Chicken platter with rice and salad. They give you a large portion. The rice was deliciously seasoned and fluffy. The chicken was cut in chunks not shredded, like I am accustomed to in most Greek restaurants I have been to. It was okay but could have been seasoned more and not so dry. I like the greek salad. The pita bread was fresh and the sauce. I did enjoy my meal and had enough left over for a second meal. The young lady who took my order was very friendly. While I was waiting for my order, there was a senior citizen in a wheelchair finishing up her dinner. After she was done, one of the ladies and a man came to assist her with putting on her winter coat. In addition they patiently wheeled her out the front door and made sure Access-a-Ride boarded her safely. Very caring people and good customer service. I would recommend you to at least give them a try.

The food, is good and so is the service. The falafel was kind of wacky. The gyro was on point.

Excellent food and great service. I see that some people criticized the quality of the meat. However, I have eaten here on three occasions and found the gyro and souvlaki to be moist, fresh and well cooked. The side greek salad served with the gyro platter is a meal in itself. I will definitely be coming back. –my dad Friendly, warm atmosphere and fresh food(see above) makes this no frills place a great stop for Greek food on the island. –me

this place is very disappointing .I was vet excited to try this restaurant. I love a good gyro I do not believe that this is fresh homemade gyro meat it tasted just like that frozen stuff u get from those carts u see around the city. even the white sauce tasted like it was from a jar the same stuff u get from the push cart if tthey are using fresh meat why would they hide it in the kitchen when I ate there the woman did not even ask me if wanted a drink like a soda she brought me a carafe of water that was it and kept pushing me to order a dessert i hope I am wrong and they did make their own gyro meat and white sauces especially since this is a Greek restaurant! !!!

I have no idea what the other reviewers have been eating before that they gave 5 stars, or whether they are family/friends of the owner, but we decided to stop by today to try the food. The owner is very nice, but is understaffed and is forced to run around the restaurant herself. Granted they just opened. We ordered the regular beef/lamb gyro sandwich and dimitris gyro with pork, and had great expectations, since they are greek and this is their specialty or flagship product. To our dissapointment, the gyros are overstuffed and imbalanced with too much meat. The meat was overcooked, dry and oversalted. The pork in the pork gyro had pieces of chewy fat along with the meat, which is disgusting. I spent over $ 50 there, unfortunately, it was a waste. See photos of food, portions and look of it makes one feel like a pig or dog eating it. I would fire the chef if this was my place, as they are ruining the food and business.
