I just started going to this salon a few months ago. I’ve been getting the gel manicure which I just love. My only issue is I have to go every 2 weeks because the polish tends to chip and lift at the bottom of the nails. I’m not sure if that’s because I wash my hands a lot or if it could be because of the quality of the polish. They give great pedicures, go for the spa pedicure, it’s worth it. They are also very clean!

Usually go here all the time. Today I went at 6 when they closed at 7:30. I asked if they had time for a gel manicure(which only takes about 25 minutes and three workers were not doing anything) and they replied«you should’ve came sooner» with a complete attitude. Don’t go, rude and unprofessional.

Well, today was not as good as my first experience. I work late and always appreciate a nail salon that is open until 7:30 as they are. I called at 5:45 to confirm this bc I will NEVER be that customer that keeps the employees till last minute. So I arrived at 6:00 and there was no wait for a gel mani and pedi. I sat down for the pedi and was asked if I want spa pedi. I said no it’s kind of late for that. She insisted it wasn’t, so I said ok. Well at about 6:30, another employee(Yuki) came over and started yelling at her for doing a spa pedi at this time. I said no problem I’ll come back for my mani another day. She then came back over to the pedi chair and started doing a gel mani right there with the uv light on an extension cord. The next half hour was so stressful. I can’t even believe I could call getting a mani pedi stressful, but it was just a rush to get the job done even after I clearly stated I’d come back. It was very uncomfortable. Everyone had coats on ready to go. At that point, I actually felt trapped. I let them finish, paid($ 70), and was basically thrown out with wet toes. I’m sitting in my car as I write this having just watched them pull down the gates and go. Really unprofessional. With dozens of nail salons in the area, there’s no chance I’ll go back. If they couldn’t provide the service, they should have turned me away. I feel very ripped off. It’s a shame because Ruby is a great pedicurist, but I won’t be back.

This place is great. I came here for the first time three weeks ago as I follow them on Instagram. I wanted to do the stiletto nails for the first time and I saw they did a great job so I wanted to go there. I got acrylic tips with gel polish over. The tips were $ 35 and gel was $ 10 extra. I got gel because I type a lot at work and this would last longer than if I got regular nail polish. One or two nails came out a little crooked but the service was fast and beautiful. They do all sorts of designs and all different nail styles. These nails lasted three weeks and I looking to go back to get them done again. Definitely recommend this place.

I came to Blooming Nails after my past three gel manicures from Viva turned brown within a week of getting them. Yuki did my nails. She was very pleasant and thorough. Another lady showed me the polishes while Yuki was working on me. Two things I didn’t like about my experience — she filed my old gel manicure off instead of soaking my nails. Second the man at the front had me sign up for a VIP club that you earn points for every service you get done. I signed up and asked if I get the points today and he told me no because I had allready paid. I’m going to see how long this gel manicure lasts. If I can get three weeks from it like I did at Viva(without my nails turning) I’ll be back at Blooming.

Came here a few weeks ago to get a gel manicure and my nails chipped three days later. Came back to redo my nails and explained to the owner/manager(young guy) that gel should last at least two weeks(I am a stay at home mom and don’t have time to do my nails every week. This is why I pay 30 $ for gel!). Anyway, I got no apology just an annoyed look on his face. I proceeded to get my nails done. Once I was finished I asked the manager to put the tip on my credit card. At first, he said no and charged me just for the services I had done(plus tax). Out of nowhere he changes his mind and decides to put my tip on my credit card and charges me TAXAGAIN! I told him«you can’t charge tax on a tip.» In a nasty tone he proceeded to say«this is how we do!» and walked away. So, I ended up paying over 60 $ for a gel manicure within a week and was charged tax on a tip! Ladies, save your money and go elsewhere.

I came to this place when they first opened and had no one there. I really liked the owner she was very pleasant. I got a gel manicure and it was good. I then went to get tips put on and the only person there that does a good job is the guy by the TV. Everyone else is sloppy. I had nails from one girl that were to thick another one did a French that was so sloppy I was embarrassed. The pedicure that I received was ok nothing amazing though. I gave this place multiple tries but in the end there are only two ppl there that are worth it and they are always busy.

I made my first visit here yesterday. I got their regular pedicure and it was excellent. I look for quality and cleanliness and this place has both. I also opted to get my eyebrows waxed, they came perfect! I will return with a following. I recommended to five friends already

I have to update my review. It hasn’t even been a week and my gel manicure chipped like crazy. Three nails broke and seven chipped. I am so disappointed. I always use OPI gel and this never happens. I’m sad I cheated on my regular nail place. Never again.

For me and my friends first time their it was not a good one. We wanted pedicures and a gel manicure. The pedicure is 25 plus 8 extra for callus remover and they give you a big menu to choose from. A pedicure ranges from 25 to 70 bucks. Overpriced and not worth it. The lady’s in there don’t understand English at all, not even the slightest. And they don’t get your bag for you when ur nails are wet. Hardly not massage during pedicure. Very lazy! The customer service is terrible. The guys that do the gel are rude. They don’t have a price menu at all! And they don’t have a liquor license and charge for wine! It’s not a spa is an accuse for more tottenville moms to get wasted while getting there nails done. Not to mention after everyone left they would talk about the clients. I don’t have to be fluent in there language to understand body language. They would laugh and taunt and complain about there tips to each other. I was interested in the permanent eyeliner but to be honest me and my friend are never going back! Terrible!

What a beautiful space and addition to the neighborhood! This place has the best ambiance for a nail salon that you’ll find in this area, I hope they maintain it to be so! I got myself a gel French mani and a regular pedi on my first visit(20% discount! Get yourself the VIP card), I am such a sucker for membership cards and loyalty programs. The gel manicure was done kind of quickly but they have state of the art UV machines, I wasn’t too happy with my gel French manicure because she made the white line way too thick for my already short nails, and it only lasted a week, strangely. The pedicure on the other hand is the best pedicure I’ve ever had on the island, or ever? The full hot stone, foot wrap, rose petal water, wow the whole nine! Massage chairs are awesome, I really enjoyed my experience here. Just wish the gel manicure had lasted longer and was done with more care hence the one star off. Will be coming back for my future pedis though for sure.

Very good place. Quality manicure and pedicure. I love how when they do gel manicures they don’t file down your nail and damage it. Got a pedicure by a very sweet woman named Nina(or Lina, don’t really remember the name) and she was so thorough, used a scrub, massaged my legs and feet with oil, used hot stones, and put lotion on my feet. Also, their water has gorgeous rose petals in it ANDTHEYLINETHETUBSFOREVERYCLIENTSOITS110% CLEAN! Pedicure was $ 25, slightly pricier than the norm but definitely worth it. Gel manicure was $ 25 and worth it as well. I will absolutely be returning here.

This place is great. Walked in without an appointment for a full set of tips and only waited 10 minutes on a busy Sunday afternoon. Will did my nails carefully and beautifully. Salon is super clean and pretty. They offer free drinks and have a VIP card which gives you discounts etc. and pulls up all of your info when you scan it when you arrive. First time customers get 20% off and they gave me a $ 10 and $ 5 coupon to use on future visits. I will definitely be back.
