My small group and I really enjoyed our meal. Must say everything was well made. I really enjoyed the veal

It’s like they want you to come and be comfortable but at the same time DONT! It’s really cold the AC is blasting. They have tables available but they’ll still make you wait at the bar to try and get you to buy drinks. This isn’t a 5 star restaurant in midtown where they reserve the right to do that cause of the demand. No. This is Elm Park Staten Island. The service wasn’t extraordinary. It wasn’t even great. It was meh. When there was nothing that needed to be tended to at our table is when we had 4 different servers and bus boys come and ask us if everything was good. They kept trying to take the appetizer before we even finished and the entrees took 45 minutes from the time we got our appetizer. Nothing at this place was ghastly but nothing really astonished me either. The food was ok. Chicken francaise and chicken parm with the giant meatball appetizer. Although I will say I’ve had lunch at this place and the pizza is very good.

Great food here! I took my out of town family here and they loved it! Couldn’t stop talking about the stuffed artichokes! Which were divine! Everything was excellent including the service. Will definitely go back again

We were very disappointed. The appetizers were good… not great. DEFINITELY not half of what they appeared in pictures posted here in Unilocal. The stuffed shrimp with crabmeat was FROZEN shrimp… and the sauce was NOT scampi, it was butter and lemon that’s it. Scampi has garlic breadcrumbs and and fresh parsley, especially if you are charging $$$ for shrimp that were so small you barely saw it, and there were only five. The shrimp Parmesan was equally disappointing… six TINY… previously frozen, shrimp that had a sprinkle of frozen mozzarella with a red«marinara» that was as sweet as a lollipop. It did not appear that there was any care in the preparation, our party had to wait as our orders came out ten minutes apart, so half of our party had to eat cold food as we waited for our families meals to arrive. There was three children of a worker that were running and screaming for half an hour that left us to just leave without even having desert, as it was my birthday. We will not be going back there… ever.

Came in on a early Sarurday night around 6 with my family, walked in to a warm cozy bar area with a beautiful Christmas tree an décor all around. As soon as you walk in the older fellows at the bar all turn an stare it is pretty awkward but hey you belong there just as much as they do so stare right back. I walked to the host stand an right away I was greeted by a gentleman who was near the bar an he was really nice an friendly I feel bad I didn’t catch his name. I never been here as I did come bc I was in the area an the Unilocal review where decent so I figured I’d try it out. I breezed through the menu while my husband parked in the parking area they also have valet parking. I was seated right away there was no wait due to it Being early I guess. I was greeted by Chantel our server who was very professional an nice a bit to professional but I guess that’s a good thing. She brought us a complimentary appetizer an some water. We ended up ordering a margarita pie which was very very delicious nice an crispy with very good cheese only thing I would say is the sauce wasn’t that great a bit watery an no flavor but I defiantly enjoyed it. My husband ordered calamari which he enjoyed as well the spicy sauce was amazing. Only thing that got me a little Was we where the only table an our food took way to long to come out, once it did we did enjoy it. We also ordered chicken franchese with linguine pasta. It was good nothing different from any other over tried. Very nice an friendly staff great holiday decorations prices are average maybe $ 2 bucks over an average Italian restaurant. We’ll definitely be back.

I ate there for the first time with my family. The service was pleasant, the food was good not outstanding. We had drinks, appetizers, kid meals and desserts. My gripe is that my wife ordered fettuccine Alfredo and had them add spinach, sun dried tomatoes, and chicken. The menu said $ 18 for just the alfredo. We understand there would be an up charge for the additional stuff. The waitress did not let us know how much it would be. When we got the bill we were shocked. $ 45 for the dish! Like we had surf and turf. When we questioned the bill, they dropped it down to $ 36. Still, very high for a pasta dish even with the extra stuff. When I approached the manager with my concern, she gave me the price breakdown. Still very disappointed with the price and not being made aware of the price. Everything else seemed reasonable.

ABSOLUTELY The best sauce I ever ate out. I usually avoid dishes with Sauce in Italian restaurants, but they had a dish I couldn’t wait to try. It was a giant stuffed meatball, amazing! Will be back. Excellent service and the servers know the menu!

I’ve been here many times. Sadly, the last time they just couldn’t get it right. Messed up orders, lied over phone about ordering lunch, flavorless sauce and food, undercooked and bruised vegetables, attitude from waiter, and then a disgusting fish salad(overcooked, almost entirely calamari rings, and literally no flavor save something that was similar to flowery hand soap– no exaggeration). One member of our party mostly enjoyed her incorrect order(the 2 stars), but I’ll never go back. You lost several loyal customers.

My favorite restaurant! Everything is delicious and the service is great. Family friendly but cozy for date night. The portions are huge and the vibe is great.

I came here for a baby shower so we had a little private area in the corner, food was good not great, we had a delicious side salad, penne vodka was very good, maybe I shouldn’t have ordered tilapia oreganato as my entrée? Everyone else I can vouch loved their steak and chicken entrée, so maybe I just made a wrong choice on deciding! Thank you for the staff who helped us move all the presents to the car, it was a very nice gesture thank you so much, also thank you to the bartender that afternoon who let me make a mess in his bar while making the cupcakes design!

Great food!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. We came here for lunch after a funeral and were about 18 people. The food was amazing. The chicken frances was delicious. The filetto pomodora sauce was out of this world and the service was on point. I would come back everytime I visit New York. If your in the area you must try it out.

This is a place I’ve been meaning to try for quite awhile, and I was not disappointed. We started with the cheese stuffed meatball that was delicious. For the entrée, the homemade ravioli special was tasty, if not a little heavy on the sauce. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean and inviting and service was friendly and efficient. Great for getting together with friends or a family meal. The menu is small, but there are several specials to choose from. I’m definitely coming back! The only negative is the neighborhood does not feel very safe if parking away from the parking lots or not using valet. Not dangerous, but not the best. Just use the lots or valet.

My father put me onto Bella Mama Rose a few months back. It’s not in an ideal spot for parking and you might not drive by it very often unless you are in the neighborhood for somethings specific. But, if you grab a spot, it’s definitely worth trying out. Just beware that upon walking in, no matter what hour of the DAY(not night) there will be someone at the bar who turns around as you walk in and stares you down. It’s a bit awkward but its not the establishments fault. I’ve been there 3 times, and its happened each time. Just stare back to let them know that you do in fact belong there and keep it moving lol. Otherwise, really good pizza and plates. Nothing overtop, just simple food done well. Well enough to keep going back.

I came here for a friends birthday that was held in the private room and I have to say the service and food was really good. Nothing really jumped out at me on the menu, just regular Italian fare, but really well done. Not one thing I didn’t enjoy. Excellent fried calamari and penne ala vodka! Would definitely hold a party here or just go for dinner for 2. Or just drinks at the bar. Was really pleasantly surprised with this place.

Funny vibe when walking into this place… no one greeted me and the workers that did look at me, looked at me like I was foreign. Smh… I asked for a menu because I was starving and walked out. Ordered fried calamari and penne a la vodka with chicken for pickup… calamari was really good n fresh… pasta w/chicken wasn’t good. For $ 35 I expect everything to be amazing… not the case. You win some, you lose some. I won’t be back.

We were in the mood for family style good Italian food, and here we are in Bella Mama Rose again :) We had stuffed Meatball for appetizer to share. The meatball was the size of a softball, but not only the portion is impressive, it was also very juicy and flavorful. Inside was stuffed with ricotta cheese, and enclosed in a crusty shell that soaked up the yummy sauce. We ordered the Seafood Fra Diavolo family style, and it is so delicious. The seafood was cooked perfect, and come with generous amount of sauce, which in my opinion is the best part :) Thank you Bella Mama Rose, you have yet gave me another good meal to enjoy with my family :)

Great Fried Calamari. Best Penne al la Vodka I believe I’ve ever had! I highly recommend this dish. Salmon dinner was pretty good. Wasn’t impressed with the eggplant parm and was surprised at how bad the veal parm was… It tasted like a Mrs. Stouffers microwave dinner — yeah, it was that bad. Other than that, great waitress staff and nice atmosphere. Quality food besides the parm dishes.

After driving past here quite a few times, my husband and I decided to try it out for dinner. Well I am glad we did. The service is friendly and attentive. When you are seated, they bring out delicious bruschetta, followed by a nice bread basket. The entrée portions are huge. Our first time here we each had a special for the evening and very much enjoyed it. Tonight I went for the safe order of chicken parm and really enjoyed it too. The chicken cutlets were cut thin, which I appreciate. The tomato sauce was also great, and I am a red sauce snob. All around, a really nice experience. They do $ 25 pizza & sangria on Thursdays, which I am looking forward to trying,
