Beach Bum Tanning Staten Island

I have discovered this place thank to Unilocal,and they deserve the perfect reviews they get here. The place is so clean, that you could think you entered a clinic.
The woman at the cashier is very friendly, and knowledgable about the different types of option they offer.
The equipment: new, shiny, and definitely do the job. I can say I will be back here.
Great service, high quality equipment. Others should learn.

I’ve been a member for approximately two years now and EVERY single time I walk in, the front desk staff greet me with a friendly hello AND when I exit, I always get a ‘byeee, have a good day!”…I haven’t experienced that kind of friendly and consistent customer service from many businesses, except maybe European Wax Center, they’re the same :) …Anyway, the front desk staff are also very knowledgeable of the products and tanning procedures. I have a monthly unlimited package for mystic spray tan and/​or tanning bed for approx $ 55 per month after tax. I like the mystic because it’s safe (no UV damage), it comes in three shades — light, medium, and dark — and it’s quick, 5 minutes and you’re done. The mystic lasts about 5 – 6 days and does not streak as long as you follow the instructions (exfoliate beforehand and don’t participate in sweaty activities for 4 hrs after the spray, rinse off, and you’re good to go)! What’s nice about this particular package is that it’s interchangeable in that I can choose which tanning option to select, OR I could even lay in the tanning bed for 10 minutes and then proceed down to the mystic after. The facility is very clean as well.

I have gone here for YEARS! Best tanning salon ever. I started going when they were in the shopping center on New Dorp Lane by Applebee’s & TJ Maxx. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable & professional.
It is & always has been, by far; the cleanest, best maintained, most professional, up to date with technology, & all around BEST tanning salon in all of Staten Island. Far more superior than anywhere else. I’ve never been disappointed in the years I utilized Beach Bum, all services have been great. After going here, anywhere I have tried to use while traveling or away for business, seemed stuck in the past. If you’ve never been to Beach Bum, the first time you go, you’ll be amazed, everything is so new & they’ve always got the latest technologies. You’ll feel in the future LOL. Seriously, they make every other salon seem to be stuck in the early 90’s with basic, gym quality, «tanning» beds, that leave bulb marks or take months to get any results.
After becoming a first time mom, I regrettably haven’t been there in just over a year, I’ve been just itching to start going again. I see they have quite a few new services too — I need to get in there, especially since I live in New Dorp now! I can’t wait to see what they’ve upgraded since!

This is the only tanning salon I will go to on Staten Island. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they keep the place clean, which is really important to me. They have a great selection of beds. I go in the lowest level (Bronze). There are only 2 beds and 1 stand up (I think), but I never have to wait. After going here, I could never go to another tanning salon. Other salons really can’t compare to Beach Bum.

I agree with Alexis (reviewer below). This place is amazing. Definitely going to be my new go to spot. I was very impressed I had to write a review. This place is very clean and inviting. The products they use are high quality and will not leave you with a spray tan smell. If you want to feel tan and sexy you gotta check them out.

Best tanning salon ever especially on the island! Airbrush artists are super great too. This tanning salon is so clean and so nice also. They offer great deals and discounts and there willing to work with you too.
The tanning beds are the best and they even have beds you can plug your i-​pod into and you can jam out to great songs while getting your color on! Theres always clean fresh towels in the room and the room is very clean and extra towels if needed.
The staff is super friendly and helpful with anything you need and what you have questions on. There very knowledgeable on the tanning creams and top brands and quality and even sell teeth whiteners, chap sticks and tattoo coverups. They have very cute body stickers you can get cute designs like a kiss or star or hearts if you like that type of stuff.
The manager Genna is super sweet and awesome! I love her! She also airbrushes and I use her all the time, she chooses the best color that goes well with your skin and the best part is that you don’t look ORANGE! No ORANGE! NO TYPICAL FAKE TAN BIMBO looking which is the best part. The room you get airbrushed in is well ventilated, lots of space & they have disposable flip flops, underwear & bra types depending how you want your spray done. She makes you feel super comfortable and does an amazing job! I always come back. Brittany is also great too if Genna isn’t there, she’s a professional too.
I love to have some color during these ugly cold winter nights cause looking like the color of snow to me isn’t whats up. lol so BEACH BUM is the place to be!
