Opal Ultra Lounge

Just want to start off by saying that my night started at Peek night club and it was god awful! Our bottle took almost 35 minutes to get out to us! We packed up and decided to go try Opal Ultra Lounge and we had a complete blast! The GM was more than hospitable we got our bottle in less that five minutes! They checked on us multiple times, our redbull, cranberry, and other things were always full! They were attentive and we had a complete blast we will be back again in the future! This is probably the worst club in SLT. It used to be fun but the new manager has run it into the ground. We were inquiring about bottle service when the manager girl (she wouldn’t tell us her name) kicked out our friend for absolutely no reason then proceeded to act like a child when we asked for reasons why she just did that. The club was empty anyways and there was only like 3 people at the bar. The security guards are also the worst in town. Don’t waste your time or your money at this place.

I’m sure the night club is fine but the employees here are terrible. I walked in with a few of my friends, celebrating a 21^st in the group… We paid $ 20 a person to get in until the last person in our group, visiting from Brazil was told he couldn’t get in without an ID. Because his passport wouldn’t suffice as a form of identification. We weren’t about to leave our friend who came so far to see us and be there for his girlfriends 21^st birthday. We asked for our money back at the door– hadn’t even gone into the club yet. And we’re refused a refund. I asked to speak to the manager and she was so terrible to all of us and was laughing in our faces. I remembered to get her name because never in my life have I wanted to complain about someone so badly. Constance was her name and I pray to god she’s fired by now! I hope for the club’s own business they get rid of her. I’ve never been treated so bad anywhere.

Had a great time. Cool room, comfortable atmosphere, relatively cheap drinks. Had a great Bullet Manhattan for under $ 10, Wow!

Opal was amazing. Constance was a great hostess. Took care of our bottle service needs and her staff was awesome. Definitely recommend when you come to Lake Tahoe. The dancers in there are also pretty amazing.

I paid 275 to get a table here on a weekend when really nothing was going on. I then proceeded to get ABUSED by their employees after doing nothing. Someone of their group messages me and when I messaged them I got abused, kicked out, and extradited. It was insane. I’ve never been treated so badly in my life especially after paying $ 275 for a table. I would do anything to promote against this place. A smaller club that makes it feel more personal, awesome service, beautiful lady’s, great music and all around a fun atmosphere!

This club was a lot of fun we went on our first night in Tahoe. This happened to be a Friday night and ladies drink free. However the website says until 2 AM but it has been changed till 12 AM that’s why I gave it a few stars. The DJ was pretty good as well and we had a great night does dancing and drinking and talking.

I went because it was my wife’s birthday and she wanted to dance. There is a row of chairs along the upper level railing, but other than that, if you want to sit down, you have to order over-​priced bottle service. So, the club had a pretty good crowd, but all of the booths and couches were cordoned off so no one could sit. Stupid.
Lots of security, which I guess is a good thing if people get out of hand, but they seemed there mostly to make sure that no one sat down.
Floors were sticky from spilled drinks, and the drinks come in small plastic cups like the ones supplied at water coolers.

For spending the money on bottle service, I was not impressed with the service we received. The bouncer was rude because we had arrived late which we have no control over since we had reservations at a restaurant and then went to the lounge afterward for a bachelorette party. The cute girl serving us our drinks was nice, but the other bartenders were such downers considering they work in a place where people have fun and let loose. The floor was sticky and gross and the security was downright mean over my friend taking her shoes off at one point because they were sticking to the floor so much. Instead of having a fun time out with the bachelorette, the experience felt more like I was in high school being overly scolded by a teacher.

Opal blew its really a trendy meat market with crappy top 40 music thats about all i can say avoid this place its not fun

I’m not much into nightclubs but if you like to dance and enjoy loud music this is the place. Drinks are verrrry expensive but you pay for the atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to know a VIP you can skip the really long line into the place. Be prepared to be searched. So I read some of the other reviews and I agree with most of them. There are two sides to the place… just like Lake Tahoe. You have both above and below the line. I’ll leave it to you to figure out what that means just remember you can find beauty everywhere if you’re looking for it.

Limited night spots to choose from. A bit pricey. I’d give 4 starts if not for prices. They are as expensive as NYC. Fun place overall.

If you are looking for an almost Vegas style club this is it! I went for a bachelorette party on a Friday night! Just a $ 10 cover and then free drinks for ladies! Music was good and there was a ton of people. I would go again if I was in the area.

This place was recommended to us, but it was a huge disappointment. The floor was so sticky my shoes kept get getting caught. The bottle service was a waste of money. I would not go back.

If I could give this place 0 stars i would. Me and my friend went to tahoe for the weekend 6÷12−6÷14. We thought we try this club out on a Saturday night. So long story short security guard «Doofy» over there kicked me and my friend out because he claims he seen me throw up in the club. Really?! Didnt have anykind of throw up on me and sure didnt smell like it either but claims he seen the whole thing and wouldnt let us back in. And while my friend was trying to talk to him he had to go and call for backup and have two other security guards come up like it was a huge problem. Definitely not a good first impression for that club. Smh

Nice modern lounge for Tahoe but not the most crackin’ place I’ve ever been to. There was no dress code, which you would think they would to match their ambienance. There were people in hoodies, flip flops, prom dresses, and suits etc. You catch my drift.
The DJ was ok, focused on house and played only a few hip-​hop hitters. Nowhere to sit unless you have bottle service. They also have a top balcony for bottle service. Small dance floor but it was packed.
Given that this is Tahoe, there wasn’t many youngsters here or variety of races. I would say 80% of the demographic was Caucasian and 70% of the age group was late 20s and over. Several people were celebrating bachelor and bachlorette parties.
Not a bad place to check out if you’re in town.

This club has really gone down hill over the years. When I was in college this was the hot spot to go, but now it’s a disappointment. Friday night is ladies’ night where ladies drink free. What that really means is we pay $ 10 to get in and you get free, watered down well drinks. There is barely any alcohol in those drinks. Totally not worth it. Saturday night ladies get in free but drinks are full price. During my most recent visit Friday night was very busy. It was overcrowded and took some time to get a drink at the bar. Saturday night however was the exact opposite, completely dead and whoever was there was mostly creepy guys.
A year or two back I came with a large group of friends, both men and women. However, myself and the other ladies I was with believe we were either roofied or had something slipped in our drinks. We all blacked out at exactly the same time that evening after only having a few drinks. We all woke up feeling very sick and after doing some research, found that we had many symptoms of being drugged. This is very unsettling and all women should be cautious of this in the future, no matter what nightclub you are at. I know this experience is not due to the club, but rather some lowlife men, but it definitely makes us nervous to return.
The DJ usually only plays older music, nothing really up to date and if you request something, odds are that they won’t play it.

Was here this past weekend after losing $ 800 in roulette to forget my horrible lost. If it wasn’t for my friends who pulled me away I would of lost even more!
My friends had bottle service and the area was big enough for all of us to fit and dance. The music they were playing wasn’t the greatest but definitely busted a move like Michael Jackson Saturday night. The one thing i really did like was that they stayed open really late!
The crowd and bar area out side the club was just as fun with alot of young people my age. Would I come back again? Maybe.

Well apparently checking Id’s and having people pay to get in is a bit of a challenge. But maybe I’m the dumbass for sitting here waiting for Sloth from the goonies to take my money so I can grind on some scantly clothed women.
