Oh man, I didn’t realize that this show had closed when I wrote my first review. Hopefully he has found a new home.

I’m only including a star rating based on some of the internet vids I saw of Alex Ramon’s show online. I was so excited to have a great evening with my family(2 small kids) while in South Lake Tahoe. Sadly I found out the show is on hiatus until December 2014. I was told the show is waiting until they an move into their new venue(Hard Rock). Hope one day soon to catch the show, the vids and all of your reviews make it sound like a really enjoyable show to catch. Just wanted to post this info to help out others.

Wow. What an amazing energy show. Alex had such persona on stage that you can’t help but get lost in the moment. He draws you in with personality and illusions that leave you wondering how did that happen or was I dreaming? Honestly this is a most go see if you’re in the Tahoe area. You will not be sorry

It is a nice show if you have nothing else to do. My 4 year old liked it. She and I started getting bored toward the middle of the show. The beginning and ending were great! We booked online before they sold out. I really liked that they allowed us to bring our Starbucks drinks inside.

I was actually impressed once the show started… Alex and his assistant are wonderful and have such great energy! The magic is amazing… You won’t be able to figure it out!(We are still talking about how he did some tricks!) …definitely worth it to go see him! He’s very talented and the show is great for everyone, couples, families and kids! A MUSTSEE! And the price is right! –Mention $ 3 off from Unilocal at the box office! –no minimum drink/food fee inside –can order drinks inside show

At night, there’s not much to do in South Lake Tahoe but gamble and eat junk food. Most scenic places close before sunset, and most restaurants close around 9. To give you an example, if you are looking for a family friendly night, this show is literally your only option. Your in luck though, because its actually pretty good! My man and I love watching comedy shows, so when I found out there was someone that paired magic and comedy for the low low price of $ 25 per person, I was hooked. Alex and his assistant Megan were a hoot! His expressions are priceless and his magic will engage any person at any age with the lasting impression of fun and wonder. Great for the wallet and the whole family!

Seeing this show was one of the highlights of my trip in Lake Tahoe. Alex has a great sense of humor and his show is truly remarkable. Megan was entertaining and a great assistant to Alex, She likes to show off her sporty, athletic body in skimpy outfits, so this will entertain the guys who don’t give a crap about magic. The magic tricks were amazing. I’m pretty sure that Megan has a twin sister. You will know what I mean if you see the show.

A WONDERFULSHOW! My husband and I are both 27 y.o. and thought it was really entertaining. Not only is the show mysterious, it’s also really funny at times. I almost died laughing when a volunteer was called to the stage and performed his own little magic show. It’s a perfect blend for both kids and adults. On top of all that it’s also obvious that Alex is extremely passionate about what he does. I really admire how he changed his childhood dreams into his career. Tips: — Buy in advance, at least the day before because it sells out fast — Show up an hour early for good seats — There’s a Starbucks right next to the entrance and they let you bring the drinks into the theater. — You can meet Alex after the show Thank you SOMUCH for the great time!

This was a GREAT show! I was very pleasantly suprised. No they don’t pay you to write reviews here, they just say at the end, hey, if you liked the show, tell people, as thats how more people come, so the reviews on here are all true! I don’t want to ruin any of the magic for you so just know that while in Tahoe, you must go see the show! Thanks Alex and Megan :)

He’s cute. He’s funny. And he knows how to solve a Rubik’s cube faster than I do. (Also his assistant is smoking hot). His tricks are smooth and hard to figure out. But of course, it’s all magic ;) Tons of audience involvement! Pretty traditional tricks, but honestly you are paying for a comedy show as well. He tours all over, so I would definitely recommend it. I wouldn’t mind watching it again in my home town.

The show was spectacular! Would totally go see it again! He was funny and the things that he did leave wondering how did he do it!!! Family friendly show to watch. Definitely go see it if you’re in town!

Got discount from Unilocal deal! Yay! Me and my husband really enjoyed the magic show. We had so much fun and we laughed a tons in the show. This show is for all ages so you could bring your grandpa, grandma, grandson, parents, friend and etc… Alex knows how to entertain the audience and make all of us laugh. You could volunteer to be his assistance as long as he pick you. This is the kind of show I like where the audience could also participate. First come first serve so if you want to get a good seat then come early.

This show is for sure a must see! Alex Ramon is fantastic! A true all around performer. He had everyone captivated, even the 2 year old on my lap! He uses comedy and sincerity to help bring his illusions to life. From talking and doing about and showing the first magic trick he ever saw, to regaling the audience with stories of former magicians and their magic; his personality is infectious and genuine. This is a must see in Lake Tahoe, you will not regret it!

Awesome show! We took our 8 and 5 year olds and they loved it. Kid friendly but entertaining for the adults as well. Alex is an awesome illusionist and very friendly. Stayed after the show to say hello and he signed the DVD for my son. If you are thinking about seeing the show just book it and go!

I came to see Alex with my parents after they had a fantastic time watching his show the month before(and they are not easily impressed by anything). I was pretty skeptical going into what appears to be a small show in S. Lake Tahoe but found myself thoroughly entertained. The illusions were mind-boggling and the theater is pretty intimate so it seems like you have a good view from anywhere. However, I was most impressed and touched by how personable, funny, and humble Alex was. Definitely would recommend this for anyone visiting the area.

It’s OK, but I really wouldn’t go out of my way to see it again. The venue itself is very small and lacked proper air conditioning. We were fortunate enough to not be near the hot lights of the stage, but we were still sweltering during the 1.5 hour performance. Based on the other Unilocal reviews, we were geared up for an amazing, laugh out loud performance. Instead, we got a few mild chuckles every now and then — really only one act made us actually laugh, due to an audience member really getting into it, sadly not Alex himself. =/ Most of the tricks were just«OK». A few actually gave us a «hmmmm, how did he do it?» moments. Some of them, like the rope trick, just seemed to go on far too long. Some of them, like the lightbulb trick, I wished went longer! What kind of irritated me was the constant reiterating about how ‘hot’ his assistant was. Innuendo after innuendo pretty much the entire show. We get it — she’s good looking — can we have some magic now? Overall, good if you have a family that is easily entertained. If you’re a stickler for a solid magic show, and have something else in SLT to do, I’d honestly say pass. Maybe Alex was off his game that night, but I had REALLY high hopes for something so widely positively reviewed. Instead, I left disappointed and kinda bored.

Holy cow… I have to start with the show, in particular, Alex, needs a bigger stage… on the likes of Houdini, Vegas, something bigger than where he is now! This is an amazing show, he is a great performer, you will not regret going to the show, just don’t give up on it when you walk in the door(The Horizon Casino is a bit rundown and the stage he is on seems fairly small). Alex, you rocked the stage, your magic is top notch, and you deserve a million times bigger of a stage! Folks, he is going on tour next year, if you have a show near you, go see him… it flipping rocks…

Recently, I’ve had a growing admiration for magicians and their craft. When my girlfriend and I bought tickets to this show I was excited to see something, anything really. When I walked into the showroom it was a bit small, but when the show started I was immediately impressed at the magnitude of the opening act! Alex began the show with a great opening act that captivated my girlfriend and I. Alex really enjoyed the interaction he had with the audience, and when you’re at a casino with cheap-to-free alcohol there might be some slightly intoxicated audience members which makes it difficult to interact with the audience; but Alex held his own. He was unbelievably funny; very charming; personable and witty; and a true showman. The illusions themselves were amazing, but it was Alex’s charisma that made the show feel complete. It was my first time in Lake Tahoe and anyone who visits must go see this show. You won’t regret it and it’s a great show for all ages.
