I frequent the Paddle Pub. I like this place because it’s close to my home and the food is pretty good. I like the fact that it’s locally owned and not corporate-grade perfect. It feels comfortable and I like how the servers take care of us. Breakfasts are recommended. So I’ve been loyal to them, but I feel like they nickel and dime me too much. For example: with the fish and chips I asked for another tarter sauce as there wasn’t enough for both the fish and fries, for which I was charged; chicken nachos with little cups of guacamole and sour cream was approx. $ 16. Small wine glasses for $ 7 house chardonnay. Happy hour has good deals, but that’s only Monday-Friday. I recommend they extend happy hour to include weekends and to not charge for the little stuff. Give us a reason to be loyal.

It’s a bar. First and foremost. My first hint was the loud obnoxious people in the corner of the bar. Tuesday night. The lady in their company was from the Shining, the laughing lady in the bathtub. Same exact laugh. I’m sure she’s very nice. The guy peeling out in the driveway and driving up the road way too fast, just after leaving the bar… For fear of retribution I will not divulge any identifying information. My meal was ok. My dinner companion’s meal looked ok as well. We were in a bar. For a meal consumed in a bar, it was ok. Because we were in a bar. Our server was friendly enough. We had no wait time. If I had ordered an adult beverage from the bar I assume a refill would have been offered. Bottom line is… did I mention it’s a bar?

My wife, kids and I went here on Saturday night at 6pm and we loved it! The kids are super picky eaters but they had the sausage pizza and they really enjoyed it. The wifer and I each had a prime rib dip and they were absolutely delicious. This is the third time we’ve been here(first with the kids) and we will definitely be going back! Pros: — A lot of TV’s(GOHAWKS!) — Pretty darn good food(prime rib dip once, blue cheese burger once, Mac and cheese wedges are fantastic and really good for you, sausage pizza, three cheese pizza(way too heavy on the cheese, only had it once though) — Nice, friendly and attentive waitress — Two pool tables — Newly renovated(had never been here before the renovation — Fantastic location(one minute from house) Cons: — Pretty high priced($ 75 for 2 prime rib dips, small sausage pizza, large tap beer, alcoholic beverage) — Only one video game(golf). I would definitely like to see more arcade style games — You cannot take your drinks outside in the fenced off smoking section that is solely accessible via the bar area. Why? All in all, I highly recommend this place and will be visiting here for karaōke on a Friday and I’ll try the live music on some Saturday. Thank you for this great chill spot!

15 minutes for someone to greet me, an additional 10 minutes for my drink to come. If it wasn’t for the Seahawks being on, I would have left. The waitress walked by my drink several times, empty handed and passed my table– all servers should know, full hands in, full hands out. She must have been taught backwards«work harder, not smarter»… A group of people walked in 15 minutes after I did, they got drinks and food before my drink even got to me. Then I GOT A LECTURE from Shawn Shawn Angel(owner?) Haha. And a creepy, unapproved, picture taken of us just to post on here that we’re still enjoying the Seahawks inside his venue. First of all, He nonchalantly asked us if we were done playing pool, and if we come in a lot, blah, blah blah and then randomly got into how It was a bad idea to post a bad 2 star review and then continue to hang out in the restaurant, hinting that service people can do weird things and«they’re very country»… Nice try on trying to «make an impact» on my opinion or review. But it’s only made it worse. Maybe a different approach is «hey guys, I apologize your visit was so shitty, let’s make it better next time». He also stated that he knew about the review right when I posted it, 2 hours prior to him approaching us– he really watched us for 2 hours??? creepy. I would change it to one star, but FB doesn’t allow any editing to the stars or context. As I said in my review, the only reason I was there is because the Seahawks were playing and I didn’t want to drive back to Smokey point, and I don’t have any cable. Unfortunately, There are no other restaurant options before my house. As much as I like to support local business — I will definitely not step back into this place. I’ll elect Boston’s or the Ram. Haha.

This place is pretty dope. Didn’t have high expectations, being the only place near the lake. The food was really good, cheap drinks and super nice staff. Tons of TV’s and two pool tables. Only reason this place doesn’t get a five star is because I’ve only been here once. Need to check this place out again to ensure dopeness!

Not going back for awhile. Sick of the service. Older gal walk right past you and never ask if you need a menu. Go to bathroom, come back and my friends all got to order food? I had to go get a menu myself. Then wait till my friends got there food to be asked if I wanted to order something. Higher prices shity service. No thanks. Even if my crew still goes I’m out

This is strictly a bar review. Never went to roadhouse despite living so close by because i heard too many complaints on servuce. Went in a lil nervous but was very pleasently suprised! Bar was very nice, clean, service was friendly, the dining area is also nice, clean. I keep seeing complajnts about tvs, yeah they do have quite a few but the majority are set up fairly high i.e. you have to actually want to look at them to be annoyed by them! With the jukebox going as well as at least the sound of one tv the noise level was still low enough that you could easily ignore it and enjoy your beer and have a conversation. 3 stars for a good lookin pub, nice bartender and service. My only complaint is my lagunitas ipa draft was kinda expensive @$ 5 but hey im savin gas driving down the road vs. Goin out to stanwood or marysville. Hope to add a star or 2 when i stop by for food.

It was horrible before the remodel. Now we have a good time and enjoy our food every time we go. The prime rib dip is amazing! Great happy hour prices and the staff is much friendlier. Going there twice today, after 4pm for 50 cent wings and free pool.

Thank goodness the dirty broken roadhouse is gone. The best burgers around, and I love burgers. The pizza is getting better and better. The remodel is amazing and it is finally a clean place with out the riff raff so I can bring my family, oh and they fixed the bathrooms.

This allegedly«family friendly» restaurant is definitely not. I brought my 10 year old son here yesterday for pizza after a fun day at the lake. We wanted to check out and support this new local business like good humans. While we waited, I asked the waitress for change for the pool table, which she brought. We were half way through our game, having great mother-son bonding time, when she came over and told me that the owner just told her to kick us off the table so adults could play. Mind you, there are 2 pool tables and nobody was even on the other one, and there were barely any customers in the place at around 6 pm on a Tuesday. We were told it was only ok to play the 2 video games right next to the pool table. I found it strange that the waitress didn’t already know this rule. The owner sat with who I assume were his wife and kids at the table right next to us. He never said anything to us directly, which I found cowardly, even though I was clearly pissed off. Nobody else played pool the entire time we were there. They also didn’t even offer to refund our money for our interrupted game. It’s only a dollar, but it’s more about the principle here. I don’t love to bad Unilocal.I haven’t Unilocaled in a while actually, but this pushed me to the point. The pizza was meh. Not bad… not good. The waitress was nice. It wasn’t her fault. Unfortunately for them, my family of good tipping customers will never come back here. Restaurants are few and far between around here too, so I’m a little bummed.

Oldl local community out of the way bar changed for the worse. Hurry up and realize new direction short comings before it’s to late. Higher prices with poor service will not sustain a new future.

I’ve known this place since the beginning, about 20 years ago. It’s not what is was, but why would it? It was time for the previous guys to retire, now there’s new blood in town. Nice simple remodel of the dining area, lots of TVs with different games on, and a completely new menu. A bit pricey for the area and the food, but it was pretty good for us tonight. Spent $ 50 including tip for four of us with no drinks, just water. The reason I rated it three not four was because it took 45 minutes to get our food! But we’ll go back, it’s close and friendly.

Stopped in for brunch on the way to see my mom for Mothers Day. The board advertised Bloody Mary’s for $ 5. It sounded good, one problem though, I get really, really sick from vodka. I have found that tequila is a good substitute for the vodka. I told the sever/bartender that the Bloody Mary looked good, but could I substitute vodka for tequila? Instead of nicely saying it would cost a little more, a fact I do understand, she says in a real nasty voice«not at that price!» Food was mediocre, service so, so. Not the Roadhouse we are used to. Don’t know if we will ever come back.

New owner and new name. We waited to go back to the«roadhouse» until recently. I don’t care about the addition of a mass of TVs like some people, but we really liked how they lightened up the place and freshened it up a bit. The name made me hesitate getting out of the car with our little girl who has been going there with us since she was born. We hoped it was not really just a pub. It was the same set up when we finally went in so that was good. Our waitress was nice, the food really did take a long time to come out and it was not busy at all. The waitress was very kind and attentive. The fish was good, the french dip was just a bit too much. I would have been thrilled if there had been a veggie patty option for the burgers or a veggie burger option in general. That was a bummer. The thing that bothered me was not seeing the roadhouse waitress we really loved who almost always served us over the years, who watched out little one blossom each time we came in. She was wonderful and we both really missed her. It felt like a 100% different place and it was a little sad for us. Maybe if we go back they will have a veggie burger. That’s all I can ask I guess. I may update my review as time goes on.

What a disappointment. We’ve been going to this bar for decades and now it’s ruined. The new owner didn’t just change the name, but the food, the atmosphere and the people who work there. BIGMISTAKE. Even the music was too loud. Geeez. Smart people know not to fix something that works. The new owner hasn’t learned that lesson«yet». Get ready to pay huge prices for disgusting food. Over cooked veggies, old fish with too thick of batter, they don’t even have chicken fried steak anymore. But you can get an over cooked chicken fried chicken. New name I guess for a deep fried chicken breast. with a high price tag. And it had too thick of breading also. The fries were limp and honestly there was nothing to give a thumbs up about. Too bad, but you’ll be better off driving a few miles and going to a restaurant you will enjoy. If you’ve been there before you know there was awesome nightly specials. Kiss that good bye too. Their specials aren’t very special anymore. By the way… the name is stupid too. Is that the best you can come up with for a bar? Even with the excellent location this bar will not last.

This place is awesome. I love the new menu and the pizza is the best. If you like big delicious burgers try them. Greatest burger ever. I can only eat half of it because it is so big. Everyone in the area must try this place.
