Ive eaten here a few times now, its really not very good compared to other places and other Waba’s. The meat is usually always over-cooked, and the chicken is under-cooked. Rice is not good. Service is poor, employees dont care, and there is always a CASHIERWANTED sign posted, never a good sign. Today the lady in front of me complained about her food, then waited 10 minutes for them to re-cook it. This should have been a warning for me, but I took a chance and I probably ordered the same thing she got. Yuck. On the positive note, the portions are good — just wish it was good.

This is probably my favorite place to go when i am too lazy to food at home. The meats here aren’t burnt like flame broilers so it’s definitely a plus in my book. I usually don’t get chicken because flame broiler always burns it but ever since i switched over to Waba grill chicken is never s problem. Besides the burnt meat it’s just the same as going to flame broiler. Their concept is the same and that’s not a problem. Customer service is fast and the employees at least are enjoying their time working. I hate to come into a store with angry employees because it ruins your experience also as a customer. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is trying to live a healthier lifestyle while not trying to burn a hole in your wallet!

If you can avoid this place just do it. Worse customers services. I hate arguing with employees cause I’m not like that .I simply asked for a veggie, chicken, rice bowl. I took the order to go. once I get home in digging in to get chicken. I just got salad. So I call a head of time to ask the girl if she can just trade in my order and I’ll be satisfied. well she made me drive up there and the only thing she was going to do is give me rice like really ?? Where’s my chicken you know lol I didn’t drive back to not get chicken . I was also late to work smh

This Waba grill will get a slightly less review because of the location. The store itself is just like any other Waba grill. Fast food teriyaki style chicken and beef. No frills. The restaurant is dirty most of the time so just eat and go.

Sooo good. You can’t go wrong with either chicken or the beef. Choose both!!! The teriyaki sauce is not too sweet, I always get extra. The hot sauce goes well on the meat also. Don’t be afraid to put some on. They are quick, and service is great. This is very similar to flamebroiler but in my opinion this is 10x better. You also get to choose between brown rice or white rice and if you want green onions on top.

First time trying it= soggy rice and burnt steak. Not coming back to this. I’d rather go to Flame.

Its 9:46, the sign says open until 10:00, the lights are on, the door is open, I walk in, and the employee tells me they’re closed. Second time this has happened to me at this location. FAIL…

I have been to other Waba Grill locations but this one is by far the worse. The meat is terrible and the place is a drug addicts hang out. I will not come back to this place ever again.

The worst Waba Grill ever I’ve been to multiple different locations and they don’t make it as bad as this the manager has the audacity to tell me this is how we make it here loaded with the sauce I asked for easy rice and rice was hard in the middle no onions were provided so and I made a phone order so this place has no means of following the franchise model. Let alone you want to eat healthy but you got half a bowl of sauce on your order you minus well eat McDonald’s or Burger King! Employees were rude and I had to scrape off and make him finish up my own order so never ever going back here.

Waba Grill is like The Flamebroiler, only with boring flavors and lousy service. I was in the craptacular city of Stanton on business and needed something for lunch that was moderately healthy so I found myself at Waba Grill, a shameless rip off of The Flamebroiler. You know the drill, Korean inspired rice(or veggie) bowls topped with the protein of your choice. This particular location is rather dingy for its age but hey, you are in Stanton, you signed up for that. I waited for about 10 minutes to order while the two employees on the clock tried to keep up with a lunch rush. After watching them try in vain to keep up one of them relented and took my chicken veggie bowl order. That reminds me: Hey, Waba Grill… Hire some freaking employees. Signed, Everyone. Once I ordered it took another 10 minutes for my order to be called and it was hate at first bite. The chicken was so chewy that Han Solo was trying to get it on the Millennium Falcon. The worst part of the gummy chicken was the charred bits that turned into a almost crunchy power as you chewed. Other lowlights include the soggy cabbage and hulking hunks of carrot that were warm on the outside and cold within. The only salvation to be had, was drenching the lot of it in Louisiana Hot Sauce and their«Teri-yucky» sauce. Damn, that was an awful bowl. Waba Grill is an affront to your wallet, tastebuds and could possibly be the agitation behind North Korea’s latest round of aggressive actions.

Very disappointed… The staff is friendly, service fast and good, clean inside. This is my first time trying Waba Grill and wasn’t impressed at all. I ordered the half and half bowl and the beef wasn’t properly trimmed, literally every bite I had to stop and remove a pea size ball of gristle. I realize occasionally we all end up chewing on a bit of fat, but after bite six my appetite was diminished and now i am touching every bit of meat checking for gristle and then i remove three more. I’m done eating…

First impression people in line waiting and I see a girl on the back window just looking then she decides to come and help customers. She was chewing something must have been eating on the back. First thing she does she just stares… Lol horrible… Careless no name tag but I got her name from receipt Gina. I think is funny how people act like that they don’t get paid to work.

I went here after oral surgery(for the first and last time) to eat something soft and what I thought would be BONEFREE. To my surprise about 6 bites in I chewed on something hard that shot pain from my throat, jaw, eyes & temple and left me with a throbbing piercing pain; when I pulled it out of my mouth I saw it was a bone. I let the cashier girl in the front know who seemed not to care in the slightest and then asked for a manager. The manager gave me an unsympathetic apology and offered a refund. Once I mentioned the health department he took the bone and threw it away and then proceeded to stare at me uncomfortably until I left. Worst experience I’ve had at Waba Grill and I eat at other locations 3 – 4 times a month. AVOIDATALLCOSTS!!!

I came here the other day for lunch for the first time. And what a great find! It’s a thousand times better than Flame Broiler, and the meat is better quality. I got the chicken veggie bowl, which was pretty large and really good for the price. It wasn’t drenched in sauce, and the chicken was perfect and not over cooked. The location was pretty clean, and they had music blasting. I took away two stars for the cashier though. She was a total space case. Couldn’t tell if she was high or just bored with her job. my friend had to repeat her order 3 times because she kept trying to write down beef instead of salmon and still put on onions after saying no. As for me, the only time she spoke to me was to give me my total. Eh. Customer service isn’t great but the food is.

Waba Grill is certainly a lucky find. I know, I know they are pretty much EVERYWHERE how could I have never dined at one. Well I didn’t grow up in So Cal. I went to one a few weeks ago. Whaddya know. ACTUALLY healthy option. Not sodium laden grease like some other big Japanese chain. Brown rice is an option even on the lunch special. With no upcharge you walk away feeling full. They are super clean, super fast, they take credit or debit with no hassle. The people comparing it Flame Broiler not a fair fight. Waba got this on smash! A fan.

Came here yesterday really excited to try Waba Grill for the first time. As we walked in the girl working at the cashier was on the phone and didn’t really greet us with a «hello» or «I’ll be right with you.» We didn’t let that bother us but it is a new establishment so they should have amazing customer service. We were looking over the menu and I happened to glance at one of the waba grill’s promises and saw that their number one promise was always greet customers with a smile. Yeah, no smile as she took our order too :’( The food on the other hand was AMAZING. Totally beat flame broiler in my opinion but is a little pricier. I ordered the steak plate that came with a salad and an orange fruit to snack on. So so good! I ordered with brown rice for a healthier alternative. The meat was so flavorful and soft and just melted in my mouth. I finished the whole plate :’) My boyfriend ordered the salmon plate which was amazingly delicious as well. I will most likely order that the next time I come! We topped both our dishes with extra green onions! I like waba grill because I felt we didn’t need any extra sauce. It was very flavorful on its own. Both our plates came out to about $ 18 total. You get very decent portions. Must try! I feel a little guilty that I like Waba Grill more than flame broiler :’) I would have given this place 5 stars but minus two for Waba grill not keeping their number one promise. Maybe next time! :)

I’ve never tried Waba Grill but comparing it to Flame Broiler, I prefer Waba. This location is much cleaner than any other Flame Broiler I have been to(I’d like to think finding hair in one’s food, like in the other reviewer’s review, is hopefully not a common occurrence). I tend to get teh chicken plate when I visit and of course load up on the pickled carrots and jalapenos. I always get it with brown rice and get in some healthy fat with an avocado(I think it’s on the pricey side but oh well). All in all– nice healthier option in the area so you don’t have to resort to burgers or tacos.

This my first time trying Waba grill. Ate the the stanton location as it recently opened up near my house so I thought I’d try it. Ordered the teriyaki chicken and veggie #10…looked like alot nice healthy fresh steamed veggies. What I didn’t realize is that 90% of the veggies was cabbage covered by a couple tiny pieces of broccoli and carrots. Over all the meal was decent until I came across a dark human hair in my food half way the meal and made me lose my appetite. When I brought it to their attention they seemed unapologetic to the issue. Never asked nor was I offered a refund of money and told them I would not return
