An under rated tea shop. Their drinks are on point. Plus, I heard they are planning to move to a location on ball and beach.

This place is great. It’s location isn’t the best for the business, but the quality of the drinks is always supreme. I’ve been here a few times because their drinks are always made really well and the size of their drinks is really generous too. There are a good amount of tables and seating and there’s also some board games for you play with your friends. Like I said before, the only downfall for this place is its location. It’s in the back corner of this plaza that doesn’t have much foot traffic to begin with. But it’s convenience and it’s quality will keep me coming back :)

Most awkward and annoying café/boba experience I had. If it wasn’t for the check in discount, decent food/beverage, this experience would have been a Hella disastrous one. Parking is doable, easy access. I ordered their Cajun fries and kiwi drink and fries were nice and the drink, it wasn’t bad either. Customer service, it’s okay. They do what they have to do but everything else was bleh. First of all, it’s one tiny café. One straight café with approximately 5 tables almost next to each other, in one straight line. Outlets are accessible. Music is loud poppy ones. Definitely not able to study. Workers there, and I suppose would be the owners and owners friends and families are just all over the place. They didn’t care that customers are there. They would come in and out super loud, employees on the tables eating their Carl’s Junior burger, leaving crumbs on the table, surfing the net while being by in the customer dining area, giving advice to each other, venting about customers. I mean hello, I am right here, and some other customers. Don’t we deserve some professionalism? Seriously, such a turn off. I get it. You guys are so comfortable with each other but damn. it’s still a business running. I get that they’re your friends/families, but courtesy, please. Would I recommend? No. I was deceived by the cool pictures and the check in but it wasn’t worth the annoyance you’ll get dealing with all the uncomfortable situation.

Companion Coffee and Tea is one of the most promising boba joints I have ever been to. Now, first of all, I just wanna say that their appetizers are delicious — my favorites are the cajun fries and gyoza. Order the gyoza when it’s only you so that you don’t have to share, heheh. I’ve gotten many drinks, with their fruit teas and sometimes the green tea matcha smoothie as my usuals.(yum!) I recommend to try their teas if you are a new customer.(: Although this place is fairly new, and therefore, a bit shaky and inconsistent with their drinks and preparation, the staff here still manages to be the most accomodating and friendliest staff ever, a gesture much appreciated. Makes me wish popular run-of-the-mill places like Tebo would do the same lol. A must visit if you are down for some boba!

I decided to go here because of the nice rating and that it was much closer than going all the way down to Bolsa for Teazone. I got Thai tea with grass jelly and it did not taste ANYTHING like Thai tea. More like water and grass jelly. I’m giving an extra star for good customer service.

The fries here are so good! I really enjoyed their sweet potato fries and it is pretty unusual to say that. This boba joint is very homey and full of nice décor. Now onto the main point: the drinks. I did not get any boba personally, but I did get a iced tea. I believe it was called the tri-tower. The drink was flavorful and the toppings are very fresh! The service is also very good! Very nice people. The only con I would say is the shop itself is small, but there is also seating outside as well!

Finally, a good boba place near my house. I tried all of the drinks here, i enjoy all of them, but my favorites are: vietnamese iced coffee, mocha café smoothie, cookies n cream smoothie, avocado smoothie, kiwi for me, passion fruit, & midnight star. Cool place to sit, eat, drink, study, n hangout. They have chairs n tables outside for you to sit also. Every staff here is really nice n friendly!

This place is I don’t know but the thai tea with boba and grass jelly is delicious. Easy on the ice is still a lot, the drinks in my opinion still needs to be worked on, but you can’t go wrong without &1.50 thai tea(add on not included) I had the green apple tea and it was disappointing. Couldn’t taste the green apple flavor and very little boba with so much ice! My husband ordered the tri tower tea and we drank our dranks like in 3 gulps lol… the ice takes up half the cup alredy

Wasn’t that hard to find the location since I live about a block away from the store. The store is in the same plaza as Taco Bell and Showgirls. Came into the store and no one was there besides a group of Vietnamese people conversing, most likely family members of the owner? I ordered the Tri-Towers and the drink was okay. It did have some green tea flavor too it, but felt like it was closer to tasting like water. The drink had just a bit of sweetness to it, but not that much. The fruits inside the drinks were cut into small bits with skin gave it a bitter taste. Don’t forget to use your check-in for that $ 1.50 for drink though. Overall I don’t think I’ll come back for the Tri-tower. Might come back for something else, but most likely not.

My review and rating is strictly for the matcha milk tea. It was the worst experience i’ve had with Matcha so far. So much so that I only had a few sips before I threw it out. Looking back I really should have had my drink replaced with something else. I drink plenty of matcha so I know how it should taste. First, the temperature was way off. It was really warm in the bottom, I even had more ice added. Second, the matcha they used was really strange as it tasted very dry with every sip you take. You can feel it in your throat. My friend and I both weren’t able to stomach it any longer. It was a large size for only 2 bucks($ 1.50 for any drink using their Unilocal check in). They’ve got other milk teas and fruit teas that I hope are better than what I got but unfortunately I won’t be coming back.

$ 1.50 for any drink??? Omg definitely worth! The place is really really small though. & hot inside with flies. But it’s okay because their drinks are good and crazy cheap. I tried the midnight something. it wasn’t sweet but still really good. I can’t wait to try all the flavors!

I like it when my tea does not taste like pure sugar. I got the tri-tower tea and the tea was not overly sweet, and had fresh fruits inside. It had enough sugar, a little less would have been good for me, but that’s because I normally drink unsweetened tea. The place is long, so it’s just one long row of tables. They have photos of the drinks which is very helpful to me. The cashier was super friendly and sweet. She brought the tea out to me which was a nice added level of service. I was able to try them with the check-in on Unilocal,so I got a drink for $ 1.50 and upgraded to the large for .50 cents more. I would come back and bring my friends who are looking for a good boba/tea place. They do charge you 50 cents if you use your card, so bring cash if you don’t want to add another 50 cents to your order.

Overall, I really like this place. I’ve only tried a few things and they were all delicious!!! I really go back for the pomegranate luxe though. So light and refreshing!!! Mmmmm!!! I’ve also had their salty cream jasmine tea which was pretty tasty too. The only reason I didn’t give this business 5 stars is because sometimes when I go in none of the employee’s speak English and I end up pointing at the things I want on the menu, but there is always still miscommunication. For example, I wanted boba in my pomegranate drink, but not the jasmine tea and after saying no boba in the jasmine tea I didn’t get any boba in any of my drinks. I think being able to understand English and speaking it semi-fluently is important in running a business. Hopefully, they hire some fluent people.

Great teas! Their boba is also very chewy and soft. Just the right consistency! Drinks come out fairly fast as well. I ordered 2 drinks and got one free. They have a promotion right now. I got their Midnight star — my favorite drink! It’s basically black tea w basil seeds, grass jelly, and popping boba. It’d really refreshing and all the toppings make it so good. I also got the durian smoothie which is very yummy! It was very creamy and omg so goood. They put fresh durian on top as well! And the jasmine milk tea w boba. They use fresh Ingreditants here. Not all that weird powdery or syrup stuff at other places. They also use fresh tea leaves to brew their teas which you can really taste in their drinks! Prices are also very cheap and decent here for the drinks you are getting. I highly recommend this place. There’s also lots of chairs and tables space to study or just come and hang out and chill. They also have plugs here! Great for studying. Great study spot in my opinion because they play pretty mellow music and the atmosphere is really nice. Great study and hangout spot! Drinks also very refreshing!

After reading the reviews at this place, I was excited and was willing to make the drive to Companion to try it out. The first time I arrived here about 4 weeks ago, the store was closed and had a notice that stated they would reopen on June 1st. I called earlier and like all the other times no one picked up and it went to someone’s cell phone voicemail – a little odd you might say. I decided to stop by anyway since the noticed said they reopen 6⁄1. As of today(6⁄19) the store is still closed. They also listed their website( ) and it was basically an empty site. There is no point on listing your site if there’s nothing the customer can utilize. Such a disappointment.

This place is small and may be hard to find. It is opposite to Taco Bell, and it is right next to 714 Water. Good drinks for the price you buy. I got the Matcha Japanese Tea, and my girlfriend got the Salty Creamy Jasmine. They both are with Honey Boba. In my opinion, the drinks are good. The only one thing I don’t like is the Honey Boba. It is a little bit hard to chew, and it has no taste :((Next time I will order with no boba then. The service is really good. I like this place.

Small, tucked away place in the Taco Bell plaza. Look for 714 Water and there it is. Most of the drinks are $ 2.45(50 cents more for going large; boba, jelly, etc. are 35 cents extra). Salty Creamy Jasmine with honey boba was really yummy. Not overly sweet like the kiddy places and with just the right lightness of salt and cream. This might look milky once the cream start to mix, but luckily it does not taste like it — milk is yucky, moo. I mean boo! Peachy Oolong with lychee jelly is ok. Check-in on Unilocal to get 50% off(it’s better than the buy $ 15 for $ 10 voucher) and you can get each drink for only a dollar something. This is really cheap for some good boba!

Went there for their grand opening special(any size drink for $ 1) but it was just what my 3star rating says … A-OK. I ordered 3 drinks: passion fruit with honey boba, peach oolong black tea with lychee jelly, and mango black tea with honey boba. First off, DONOT get the passion fruit. It tasted like tamarind candy mixed with some bitterness. I only took a few sips and I couldn’t drink it anymore. The peach oolong tea was delicious with the lychee jelly. Honestly though, I think it was mainly the lychee jelly that was shining through the whole drink. Each drink until the 28th is $ 1, add ons are 35cents. I don’t know how much the actual drink will cost once the deal goes away. One major CON was that my drink was FILLEDTOTHEBRIM with large ice cubes. It was like you had to try to force your straw through all the ice cubes to get to the bottom where the boba was. Maybe they were doing that because the drink was only $ 1, but one thing I don’t like is people trying to «save» money every way they can, by putting HELLA ice in your drink. I can’t complain too much cuz the drink was only $ 1.35. I don’t know if it’s actually herbal tea or not, but they had a lot of samples of loose leaf teas on the counter and throughout the store. It’s located on the backside of a building, so it’s definitely difficult to find. I actually missed it the first time because i thought«no business is located here» and there it was. If i do come back, I will request LESSICE, or maybe even NOICE because they amount of ice they gave compared to the drink was a little ridiculous.

This place was hard for me to find. I saw an ad for $ 1 any kind, any size and was kinda in the area so I decided to swing by for a try. I had to make 2 U-turns because I couldn’t pinpoint where it was on the map. There’s no signs for Companion anywhere! Luckily I saw 714 water on the map and went in the Taco Bell plaza. Even in the plaza I couldn’t find it. Anyway, I learned that it took over 714 water. The location was kinda bad but I hope that doesn’t hurt their business. As I stepped into the store through the side door, I noticed that the store was pretty small. There was probably like three to four tables available with two tables occupied by people playing uno and Sorry! I walked directly to front to stare at the menu. The girl working in the front and taking my order was really nice. I stood there contemplating which one to order until she pointed out that I could actually smell the tea leaves. Cool! I am a tea enthusiast and love that there are new places popping up that uses natural tea leaves rather than syrup. What I got: Peach Oolong Tea with Lychee jelly & Matcha Japanese Tea. I liked them both! I was afraid I would end up throwing it away but I was pleasantly surprised. The teas weren’t sweet and that’s due to not using fake syrup. The Matcha Japanese Tea, when comparison to 7 Leaves, is a lot less sweet and tastes more like the Matcha Soy due to its creaminess taste. I would have to say that I prefer Companion’s Matcha Japanese Tea over the ones I’ve tried in the past at other boba shops. Overall, I’d come back if I was in the area again! I would probably try the ice blended drinks next time since they’re not included in the $ 1 promotion special.
