Had major neck and back pain mid-July for a month last year and they did wonders for me. Great place and super friendly!

I am a rock climber which means that I enjoy life and also that I get injured a lot. Most or my injuries are climbing related and include but are not limited to sprained/trained tendons, ligaments and sometimes muscles. Every time I had one of those injuries I’ve gone to MORE Physical therapy and the amount of care I received there was beyond my expectations. When faced with finger joint problems(which are most common in rock climbing) most of the doctors I’ve talked before would just recommend me to stop climbing and ice it. Zaldy(the senior guy at MORE), on the other hand, looked deeper into the issue and recommended a number of exercises that help building antagonist muscles and accelerated the healing process tremendously. I also had a sprained hamstring once and those guys(Zaldy did the initial evaluation and more junior therapists took care of me later) put me back on track in just a few weeks! I’m very happy to have MORE on Stanford campus!

I wish I could give them a good review, but their care was not good or responsible. I was referred to them by my doctor for a sports injury and I came in at least 8 times eager to learn how I could get better. The staff sent me to a different therapist each time I came in. I never had a consistent therapist for more than one session in a row and, as a result, nobody seemed to care if I improved. When I asked about this, I was told that Zaldy was my assigned therapist but he was on vacation for several weeks so I could not see him. I only saw Zaldy, supposedly my assigned therapist, once! Each time I came in, I had to explain what was wrong with me to a new person. Each therapists spent maybe ten or fifteen minutes with me and then disappeared. When I had questions about the exercises or my injury, I did not get clear answers. It did not seem like people knew. I’m sure there are good people at MORE, but they really let me fall through the cracks. There was no individualized plan for me, little personal attention, and zero motivation and genuine concern for my improvement. I ended up having to get surgery. I don’t know if physical therapy would have helped or not, but this bad experience has made me very wary.

Over the past 5 years I have struggled with major but quite unusual medical issues. I’ve seen general practicioners, orthopedists, osteopaths, neurologists, physiatrists, and physical therapists all over the country, including in the George Washington hospital system, in Colorado, and at the Cleveland Clinic, and by and large none of them have been able to help me. In fact, almost every physical therapist I have seen has managed to make things WORSE rather than better. Except Zaldy, the head PT at this office. He is FANTASTIC. He is patient, deliberate, hands-on, and humble yet excredibly proficient. I just can’t say enough good things about him. His persistance with my case and his attention to my various issues is just unparalleled. I don’t know what I would do without him.
