Excellent if you like old school fold it in half pizza. How old school? I had my slice with Anchovies. It was just as it should be. Hard to get this old school pizza in a world of «gourmet» pizza. If you have fond childhood memories of pizza you will love this place.

Great food. I have had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and it has always been great! Best pizza and everything else I have had tried is wonderful.

I decided to try this place on a whim when out walking at lunchtime. Got a slice of sausage pizza and was impressed. Great crust, lots of cheese – simply yummy. One of the guys behind the counter was a little grumpy, not rude, just grumpy, but«Pappa’s» daughter, who seemed to be running the place, was very friendly and personable. She gave me a sample of a «breakfast pizza» they are starting to serve. They are now open at 7 during the week and I guess they are trying to expand into a brunch place on weekends. The breakfast pizza was quite good! It had eggs, broccoli and other vegetables – like a quiche with pizza dough. As I mentioned before, their dough is really good. The breakfast pizzas come in a few other varieties. I wouldn’t say the atmosphere is overly great at Pappa’s, but for the pizza itself(and what else is the point?) I highly recommend it.

I was in town and was craving some pepperoni pizza and wings. Saw this spot and decided to try it. I ordered a slice and some buffalo wings. I got the mild wings. I really enjoyed the wings. They were just right and had a nice kick to them. The pizza to me was just ok. I’m from Brooklyn and the pizza is different from what I’m used to. The pizza from NY is thinner with not so much bread. I will say that it satisfied my craving. I see some comments about it being greasy. It was greasy so you can just dab some of it off. The wings were 5 stars and the pizza was about a 3 for me.

Pappa’s has great pizza! A little greasy, but it’s pizza so grease is grease. The crust is delicious though — crunchy and thin. Sometimes it seems a bit on the pricey side, but they have daily specials which help. I’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a pizza delivery spot!!! I ordered a couple pies and wings for a playoff football game ten minutes before a few friends came over to watch the game. The guy on the phone said the order would take 45 minutes which is pretty standard on an average busy night. One hour and fifteen minutes later my wife called to get the status on the order. The guy apologized for the delay and explained«we got slammed because of the game and its leaving now» Great sounds reasonable right? Wrong!!! 45 minutes later my wife called back to cancel the order and the guy on the phone was absolutely out of line. He kept rudely interrupting saying«the food just left! the food just left!!» she asked to refund the card and to please cancel the order the food is definitely not good at this point.(2 hours later) He said that he would have to call her back and in order to cancel the order and hung up on her. My wife called again and another gentleman answered explaining that they would cancel the order and was completely professional and apologetic for the whole situation. He offered for us not to be charged and to keep the food. Bottom line, I’ve been in the business before and if your getting slammed that’s a good thing… so if that’s the case and your short handed from someone calling out or forwhatever reason, tell your customers!!! leave it up to us to decide. If you told me the delivery would take two hours I would laugh and not order, but I would ask myself why are they so backed up? Their pizza must be the best!!! Maybe I’ll order next weekend. You also don’t hang up on your customers. Not only will I never order food from Pappas ever again, I will actually bring up my experience whenever food is being discussed in the city of Stamford.

I have order a few times from this place… the pizza is good and very cheesy but a bit greasy… the wings were not too good they were dry and missing sauce, the delivery time actually fast i like that… i’ll definitely will try it again…

I stop going becuase the pizza taste nothing like it used to. I used to work across the street and visit daily. I used to love their chicken parm, but my last visit was dramatically a waste of money. Plus, I always seem to get a stomach ache after eating there. I dont think its their food, but just a change in my acceptable eating.

I walk in and see a few people by the register. They take orders from two people before me. I’m now at the front of the line. No service. No service. No service. Time passes. Two guys are now standing next to me, one on either side. Finally, service. But somehow, the guy behind the register helps the guy to my left first, then skips over me and gets the guy to my right. WTF. Fortunately, I saw their pizza come out. It looks like frozen pizza put in their personal oven– not impressive.

So I used to go here every Friday when my girls were in grade school(this was years ago). We’d get a few of their small mini pizzas(the only size they sold), and a nice gorgonzola salad. They weren’t stingy with the gorgonzola, and the pies were crispy and delicious. No more! I’m not sure what they’re doing now, but I’ve been there a couple of times since and it’s just not very good now. Seriously skip it. There’s better places to get pizza in Stamford. Colony Grill of course!

What happened to the crisp crunch? What happened to the sweet sauce? What happened to the fat, robust and tund Latino man that would hook me up with a pie FAST during the live at five craziness in exchange for a mere fin in his pocket… well maybe he was doing too much of that… Ever since the change of management about a year a ago, this place has gone down hill and now more resembles a wrap/chicken-burger spot than what it originally was,(actually the pizza really reached its apex during the«small size pie only /inside 2 plates and inside a paper bag with a Pappas stamp» era… This used to be my favorite Greek style pizza place around… the only place that perfected the not-too-greasy but crisp and sweet sauce but thicker style that most places cannot. the new guy even popped my pie back in sans pan when he realized it wasn’t cooked long enough– a mistake in the pan pizza biz because everyone knows the pan gives the pizza the flavor because it contains little bits and pieces of the flavor of each pie previously cooked in that pan– simply placing it on the oven surface allows the over taste to set in, ruining the pedigree of pizza flavoring.

This was another spot I use to hit up for Pizza. I use to love the fact that they specialized in small personal pizzas. However, I could only eat so much of it due to the fact it seem saturated in oil. However, they must have changed up there recipe because the last time I tried I had some it was nearly as oily. There’s enough room in there to sit down and eat. There’s a variety of parking, so that shouldn’t be a major factor.
