I had 2 weeks vacation and decided to take a friend on a hot dog tour of the northeast. This is stop #4. We only went to places we’ve never been before. The interior reminds me of the TV show Saved By The Bell when they went to The Maxx. It’s colored pink and blue inside with some neon. Not my style, but if the food is good who cares? The bathroom was clean here. Interior is small, with a few seats at the counter and a few tables. I had a hot dog with mustard, onions, and chili. I started eating and then realized I forgot to snap a picture of my dog. It’s split in half, grilled, and bun toasted. They use a hot dog of pork and beef mix from Master chef. I’ve never heard of them before. The chili was similar to others I’ve had on my trip. It was good, but not as good as Texas Chili, not as hot either. The dog was grilled nicely, but my friend commented that he tasted a smoky grill like flavor. He didn’t like it. I thought it was the second best of the day, while my friend didn’t enjoy it as much as I did. If you wish to follow the rest of my road trip, stop #5 is Bethel Hot Dog Palace:

Good place to get fast food. Personally feel it’s overrated. But many of my friends love the joint. They offer cheese fries. Chili– chili on everything. They have salads too– but why would u get a salad at a place like this? Go with friends or for a quick bite. They’re open late

I have been eating at Hubba Hubba since a kid, first time in Port Chester New York 1995. Then this one in Stamford. I lived in San Antonio Texas for 2 years, Memphis Tennessee for 1 year. And now living in West Palm Beach Florida for 8 years. I believe I have great taste and eat all types of food, this is the best chili I’ve had from all places I lived… HANDSDOWN! I will tell you this, if you don’t like spicy food then this place is not right for you. What makes the burgers, hot dogs, fries is the chili and up north bread. If you order food with no chili, then you’re review might not be a 5 star like mine. A word of advice to lower the spice is to add a little ketchup in every bite. I like to order the chili cheeseburger on a wedge and chili cheese fries every time I fly up north and visit. Wish we had it down here in West Palm Beach, FL because it will make a killing. But then again our Florida bread taste different =\

Semi regular customer. Will not return after frustrating experience with sanitation concerns. Handling of foods with bare hands.

I’ve been a consumer of Pat’s amazingly awesome chili and food for practically my entire life. When I was a kid Pat’s was located a block behind my house in Greenwich. So it was a stop when I had some extra chore money. Pat’s then moved to Port Chester and after nights of boozing nothing beat Pat’s chili dog wedge. Then on to Cos Cob and now in Stamford. One thing remains, that insane chill recipe I have never had or tasted anything like it anywhere else ever. Whenever I’m back visiting family I always have 1 stop. And it’s here.

Good place for burgers & fries… People are nice and prices are good. Blt burgers and clam strips were good. Open late!

With all the right pieces of the puzzle in place, the one lacking element is the most important. Looking like a classic«Diners, drive-ins, and dives» joint straight off the television series– the food here really lacked the spark to bring it all around. While friendly and fast service are appreciated, the burger and chili fries here were surprisingly void of savory flavors. The chili was especially bland, and disappointing when comparing to Connecticut’s offerings of great chili-fries/burgers/dogs along the coast further East. Cool spot nearby to the awesome Cove Island Park in Stamford, this establishment unfortunately follows suit with the majority of Stamford’s offerings with just barely an «okay» rating from a seasoned drive-in patron. Most likely wouldn’t visit again.

We stopped here on the way back from the Cove and was able to find a spot(not much parking) and was so glad we did! The hot dogs were awesome and the chocolate shake was the best we ever had! Can’t wait to go back again.

After experiencing Pats in Port Chester, I decided to give the Stamford location a shot. But mainly only because I pass by it a few times a week and I see their sign for a Bacon, egg, cheese, and chili on a roll. This plus potatoes is my favorite breakfast sandwich made by Reddi Rooster which is just down the street on Main Street. I had high hopes for Pats after walking into the front door. It felt like a small cozy diner and there were big hand written signs promoting their breakfast sandwich on a Texas Roll. I was thinking, this has got to be tasty if they are pushing it this much. I pull up a seat at the bar and stared at the menu thinking about if I wanna try anything else. The cook was cleaning but stopped to take my order. I told him what I wanted and before he started cooking he used some hand sanitizer which was a good sign. I then took a look around the diner and I realized, this place was extremely clean! Nothing compared to the port chester location. The cook served me the sandwich and first thing I noticed was how small it was. What happened to the Texas roll? It was tiny compared to Reddi Rooster. But everyone knows that size doesn’t matter… But it usually does. First bite into it I was expecting greatness, but it just wasnt there. The whole time I was eating it, which wasn’t long cause of how small it was, all I could think of was, what a waste of calories, I should have just gone to Reddi Rooster. Service from the cook was great. Easy parking, clean diner, ill come back one day and try their other sandwiches.

I always enjoy Pat’s. I come here to enjoy a chili cheeseburger with raw onion and chili cheese fries. The chili is nice and spicy just how I like it.

Nice place. Clean, pleasant«homey» atmosphere, cheerful service. I’ve never had anything but the burgers and fries… they’re decent. They do have some interesting menu items… including chili on just about anything you’d want… and daily specials. I usually get the burger combo which includes fries and fountain soda for six bucks or so. That’s a very good value for Stamford. Get there early if you can, there’s not much seating and less parking. Restroom is right off the dining area, so you don’t have to trip over mops and buckets to wash your hands. Good spot to bring a co-worker or friend for lunch, you won’t be embarassed.

I have been coming to Pat’s for a long time(starting with the one in Portchester). I usually get the chili cheese burger wedge. Perfect after a night of drinking, though you will most likely regret it in the morning. If you are not into chili, there are many other things on the menu to pick from. Food items you would expect from a small diner(fries, burgers, hot dogs, etc). Whenever I am back East I always«need» to stop by and eat here.

Lunch, dinner, late night, whenever. Don’t come here if you’re on a diet, don’t come here if you don’t like meat. I was going to say«don’t come here on a first date,» on second thought, I think that this would be a perfect first date spot. If you bring a young lady here and she doesn’t enjoy the food, dump her, she’s pretentious and will be an awful girlfriend. On my most recent venture to Pat’s, I devoured a BLT burger wedge. Yes, it was as delicious as it sounds. During the summer, it’s nice to sit outside and have a milkshake. I dunno, it’s a holdout, a real place for real people. With all of that said, Pat’s Hubba Hubba needs to be dosed into your life sparingly. Pat’s holds a special place in my heart, right next to my cardiologist’s phone number.

Not impressed. The Chili was way too spicy and the food itself was not very good.

Chili cheese dogs are great. Limited parking, but a few spots none the less. Prices seem high to me once you start adding on fries and drink. Not too bad, but I would expect a little cheaper for the quality of food.

A great little place to go for lunch or dinner. Decent prices and fast service. Try the chili cheese dogs, they are my personal favorite. To help counter the spicy chili, ask for a free Hubba water with your meal.(hi-c and water mix)

Pat’s is a great little fast food place, located on the east side of Stamford and is located on Cove road, right in the vicinity of two of the three main beaches in stamford(Cove Island Park and Cummings Park). The food here is greasy and cheap cheap cheap! Burgers for $ 3.00, chili & cheese fries and old fashioned soda bottles. With it’s pink and turquoise 60’s theme you feel as you’ve stepped back in time. Pat’s is a great place to grab lunch before heading to the beach or a late night snack if your just hanging out. Back when Ice skating at Terry Conners was the«hangout», we all used to come to Pat’s after and grab some food. Chili is the best here, everyone gets their chili & cheese fries, burgers are great and so are the sandwiches. You really can’t go wrong at a place like pat’s! Pat’s has it’s own parking lot, small but there. They don’t accept credit cards(but there is an ATM machine inside the restaurant). Public restrooms are available for patron use. If it’s busy you probably won’t get waited on(think numbers and pick-ups at the counter) but if there’s a few people they’ll bring your food to you or if your sitting outside. Outside seating is available in the summer time and gets pretty crowded so grab a seat while you can!
