Baker Floor Refinishing

Rick and Linda refinished our floors at our house 10 years ago and they still look amazing. Since then I’ve had them at several of my rental properties and they came out amazing. I would highly recommend Bakers Flooring and I will never go anywhere else. Thank you for the amazing job!

Among 3 companies I own, I own a small renovation company that buys blighted houses and renovates them for rental units. As such, we always try to hire tradesmen locally. We hired Rick Baker to sand, stain, and urethane hardwood floors on a two unit renovation in Stafford. His pricing was in line with most and we agreed to use him on this project. When he finished the upstairs unit, I noticed that there was some shading issues, as well as many areas on the floor where there was dried excess urethane (sags). I called Rick and asked him to meet me there the next day so that we could go over the issues. Basically, Rick told me there were no issues, it looked great and that I «didnt’ know what the **** I was talking about». I told Rick I was not accusing him, but wanted these items adressed or at least acknowledged before he went onto the larger unit.
I called him the next day to have him meet me there. He told me that him, his wife, and two freinds went onto my property earlier that morning, had let themselves in without my knowldege, and theyall agreed it looked great so he wasnt going to repair any of the issues.
This guy has no business being in business. He is brash, condesending, and quite frankly does lousy work. Later we found that while sanding, his guys cut into the plastic heating lines that had to be replaced.
I would not recommend that anyone hire this guy! He does poor work, and then does nothing to stand behind the work. According to his own words, he broke into my property without my knowledge. Scumbag! Lots of qualified comapnies, let this guy die on the vine.
