Great barbecue. I come here every year while on vacation. The beef brisket is awesome and I love the sauce too.

This place is not even a restaurant. It is a food stand that you order from, however there is no place to even sit and eat your food. :(

Loved the beef brisket ribs and chicken. All moist, tender and flavorful. We had Mac n cheese and rice for sides– decent enough. Price is ok. 1 meal can feed 2

I was pretty skeptical about Texas Pit at first. Eating anything that comes out of a tin-can diner should always be done with caution, but this turned out to be an awesome cheap eat. Don’t bother with the 15-dollar barbecue plates. They may tell you that the six-dollar special cut is a smaller portion, but everything is big in Texas. The Brisket is simultaneously smoky but tender, salt and peppered to perfection. Get the spicy barbecue sauce, it’s pretty perfect as well. The Chicken plate is a seven-dollar steal. It’s hard to know whether it’s the barbecue flavor or the encircling sauce that penetrates through all that meat, but it’s so good I don’t care. The side of barbecue-infused Mac n’ Cheese costs extra, but it’s well worth the extra three dollars. I really didn’t expect much from Texas Pit, but that just goes to show that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and you shouldn’t judge a barbecue by its trailer. If nothing else, come to Texas Pit just for the experience of eating barbecue off the back of your car in a parking lot. It doesn’t get more tailgate-authentic than that.

if visiting americas paradise i.e. st. thomas usvi, you trip will be incomplete without eating at this local fanfare on waterfront. not a week went by that i did not eat here, one of my fond memories of livin there. you should try everything they have, i personally recommend their ribs or their sea food combo. the wait is long, just take a number ans jus simply lime… no rush it is worth the wait. look out for the coconut rastafarian with his cart while you are waiting, a buck will buy you a fresh coconut water. enjoy and bring me some if you guys are flying back…
