I went here for the first time recently to take a Thai massage workshop class. From my observation, this place is definitely a place I would recommend to do yoga in.
The facilities is nicely decorated. It has one large room for yoga etc. and the smaller room for the same. There’s also a gift shop with the holistic items and souvenirs. They also feature a waiting lounge just outside the changing rooms and an area to store your personal belongings during your session here.
The staff was very friendly and well trained in instructing us every step of the way. If I didn’t live so far from the studio, I would visit more regularly. I actually wouldn’t mind coming here again for another one of their workshops depending on what they have advertised.

Loooooove this place! I’ve been to quite a few different classes here and have thoroughly enjoyed every single one. I’m a beginner and never once felt out of place at a class even though there are yogis much more experienced than I. The room is beautiful and quiet with exposed brick walls. The instructors are always inviting and super chill. I usually go for $ 5 Friday’s with the Needhams. They’re amazing! I recently went to another yoga spot in Tampa and hated it! The instructor was pushy and would point you out if you weren’t doing something her way. I’ve never experienced that in the slightest at Electric Body. Every so often the instructor will softly & quietly correct you but never to the point where you feel embarrassed or be pushed into a pose you’re not ready for. I’ll never go anywhere else but Electric!

The Body Electric Yoga Company is more than a yoga studio, it’s a community.
Located right next to a juice shop, you can sense wellness just by looking at Body Electric from the outside. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the positive, yet tranquil teachers, who welcomed me with open arms into my first class at the studio.
Before starting class, I put my stuff away in a cubby in the back room. No locks, just trust. There were couches and tea, as well… seeing this, I felt like I was right at home.
I headed into the beautiful, rather large, studio with dark wood floors, and set my mat up (I believe they have 2 studio rooms).
For my first class at Body Electric, I took «Flow Down» with Jessica (she has a GREAT energy about her!). It was difficult, yet relaxing. It wasn’t hot yoga, but the room was kept rather warm throughout the practice. By the end of my first class, I was sweating in a detoxifying way. The ambiance, the teacher, the experience… I knew this was the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to!
Still not convinced? All classes (drop in) on Friday’s are ONLY $ 5! Just be prepared to be surrounded by dozens of your closest yogis, because it comes as no surprise that classes on Fridays are crowded! :)
STILL not convinced? They offer «Yoga on Tap» where you practice your yoga, and enjoy beer afterwards!!!

This was my first ever yoga experience and it was simply quite lovely. I took the Flow Down class with Rissa and she was such a sweet and encouraging instructor. Upon walking into the studio and checking in with the helpful front desk staff, you walk into a beautiful hardwood open-​spaced studio with ambient lighting (I took a 7:45pm class), wall-​sized mirrors (perfect for form-​checking), and a calm and relaxing atmosphere. Initially I was nervous and did not know what to expect coming into my first ever yoga class. I was afraid I would not be able to keep up with the flow of the class, but Rissa demonstrated some of the moves during class which made it super helpful for me since I did not know the names of most of the moves. She also demonstrated the modified poses for people who wanted to modify and helped to correct some forms. Her cues were really helpful and she smoothly transitioned everyone from various poses during class. The music flowed perfectly with the class as well. My whole experience from the atmosphere of the studio, the class itself, and Rissa, made a lasting impression on me and left me wanting to dive deeper into yoga. I walked away from my first class feeling invigorated, light, and so much more relaxed. I am now in search of a yoga studio similar to the Body Electric Yoga Company near where I live but I will be sure to visit this studio again when I am in the St. Pete’s area. BE is truly a hidden gem. Side note: The classes fill up pretty quickly so I was lucky enough to arrive a few minutes earlier to get a spot in front of class. You can also leave your belongings in the open cubbies in the studio. There are also really cute yoga clothing and yoga mats for purchase in the studio. I really, really dig Body Electric. I have been to 3 classes there now and here are the things I love most in a nutshell:
1. The Space
2. The Vibe
3. The Music
4. The Coconut Water
I guess that covers a lot of ground. I can’t get enough of the space. When you walk in, it’s like walking into a house. The front lobby area, the retail room, the couch space where the cubbies are… All of it is just amazing. The colors, the pictures on the walls, the people, the set up… The whole space when you walk in is fantastic. I’ve only practiced in one room, which is the main room and it is AMAZING. It’s got these beautiful hardwood floors, amazingly high ceilings with these metal beams that are an incredible contrast to the wooden ceiling and rafters and the exposed brick wall. Can someone turn my bedroom into a replica of this room?! And then there are shelves built into the wall (sort of?) where they have little decorations– I love it!!! It’s not overly decorated in the yoga room, which is awesome, as many places are really really busy with decoration even in the yoga space.
So okay on top of that, the three teachers I took class with were Jenny Miller (a co-​owner), Tiffany Cantrell and Amanda Riker. All amazing. They all played different types of music, they all had very different styles of teaching, but all 3 of them were SO fun, so entertaining, so inspiring.
2 months ago I tried BE for my first time. I took Jenny’s class and loved every second. She was funny, connected, interesting. She was all about having you. BE YOU. Express yourself in every movement. I loved it. She taught an awesome flow, I remember some really creative transitions, and we did this pose she called Kundalini’s Descent I think it was… It was a blast! I remember coming back and teaching it in my own classes– my students loved it! For the next 2 months I waited and waited for a weekend that I could get back down to St Pete to go to Body Electric again!!! So this weekend I was in St Pete and went both Saturday and Sunday morning. Sadly I missed Jenny but On Saturday morning Tiffany’s playlist was amazing and her class (it was Hot Enough Flow) had me DRIPPING — it felt so good. It was the PERFECT rhythm between movement and rest, simple and complex… She did a few hands on assists on me and each assist was powerful, appropriate and amazing. Amanda’s playlist was mellow think Bön Iver, Jose Gonzalez, Fink, Trevor Hall… She did a GREAT job teaching a flow that built up to the peak pose. I haven’t taken many classes lately that do peak pose as the overall movement theme throughout. I enjoyed it a lot. Her music matched what she was saying and teaching really well. They were all so creative and fun, I loved it! Accessible too, though, for anyone and everyone.
I love it. Thank you BE team– you are all so awesome.
OH AND… Gosh the coconut water they have in there… Yeah just… Try one. You’ll see what I mean.

I visited St. Pete for a two month clinical rotation during my physical therapy schooling and let me say, these folks KNOW THEIR STUFF! The teachers encompass everything you’d want in a person – kind, nurturing, inspiring, encouraging, knowledgeable, hilarious, fun etc etc etc. I could go on forever. Each instructor brings their own uniqueness to every class, ensuring a new experience each day. Their level of knowledge regarding the human anatomy, injury prevention, and pose modification (to fit each person) is the best of any studio I’ve experienced. The BE has a true community feel from the moment you walk through the doors and everyone is welcoming. There are classes for EVERYONE. The instructors will offer poses with variety to suit each level of flexibility, strength, level of fitness etc. In addition to all the normal classes, The BE offers fun workshops and events like yoga on tap (at local breweries). I cannot say enough good things about The Body Electric. They have truly set the standard for my practice at future yoga studios. If you live in the St. Pete area or are just visiting for a few days, I highly recommend stopping in for a class, your yoga practice will thank you. As they often say at The BE, leave your ego and distractions at the door.

This place got me motivated to try yoga and I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Fun, friendly instructors that accommodate everyone. Great atmosphere and wonderful studio that i would highly recommend to family and friends.

TBE totally made my month’s visit to St Pete’s complete. Great instructors, warm atmosphere, and mellow vibe. Definitely will be part of my next stay.

I was so happy to find this studio in St Pete. They have a varied selection of classes, a full schedule, wonderful instructors, all at a very reasonable price. I could yoga every day! The whole space is warm and inviting. A great vibe!

I started practicing Mysore here after White Orchid Yoga in Clearwater closed down. The space is beautiful and my new teacher Jade is great!

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a yoga studio. Intimate, earthy digs? Check, A full and varied schedule? Check. They have SUP Yoga, Power flow, meditation and more. Knowledgeable, nonjudgemental staff? Check!
They have 5 $ Fridays, 15 $ sessions, and affordable packages that will be worth your money. Where else can you exercise, heal your body, and improve your mind all at the same time? I will be going back often and getting a month pass as soon as I know I can fit it into my schedule once school starts.
If you want to check this place out, you should! Go on Friday for $ 5 and sweat your butt off while getting mentally recharged. You can be any shape, size, or skill. No judgements here.

I love the body electric. First of all the room is so special. The bricks on the wall are trippy and fun to zone out while doing yoga. The music is great. The teachers are incredible. The owner has a dry sense of humor and she jumps in and does classes with other teachers. No one judges you if you are a beginner. The classes are great from beginners to expert level. I really love the little lounge area with the books and how people are down to earth and not phony. Its a win win win. winfinity yoga studio.

I started doing yoga in 2008 in St. Pete but moved to Boulder and Seattle. To say I have been spoiled with yoga studios is an understatement. I moved back to St. Pete and have had a difficult time finding a practice that fits me. I like to have a class that is instructional, a workout and focuses on the fundamentals of yoga. This place IS amazing. I came here on a recommendation, and WOW I was super impressed with the studio and the class. The instructor, Amy, killed it! She was right on the nose with her instruction, navigating breath and corrections.
I gave the studio four stars because the class was SO packed. Besides that they nailed it on the head with this studio. Please limit the class sizes! :-)

This is seriously a gem in St. Pete. Everything is quality here. The space is amazing, the teachers are eclectic and really do «keep yoga weird.» Its not the same cookie cutter yoga place or instructor you see at other places. I love how they are pretty involved in the community and hold regular events at local business (i.e. green bench yoga). I also love how they have special visitors at a upcharge. It shows they really love their craft are invested in spreading yoga to as many people as possible.
Things I am not to found of is the lack of space where you store your belongings. Really the cubbies are relegated to only one corner and it promotes awkward traffic within the studio. This place has gotten big and crowded enough it warrants a reworking of the lounge room with the couch in it (It just doesn’t seem to flow in my opinion as well as it should). Its a small concern in what really is a unique, exceptional yoga studio. Others take note, Body Electric is prime example of run a great yoga practice and keep people coming back for more!

If you’re in St. Pete living or on vacation and you have ever wanted to try yoga, are new to town looking for a studio, you’re a regular yoga goer or you’re a yogi guru, you would be missing out if you didn’t drop in for a class. I took my first class here a little over a year ago and it is very apparent how much time, energy, love, and intention goes into making this place THE best studio in the area.
Every teacher has their own style and I think there’s a class for everybody. They have every level class (from beginner to heated to flows to prenatal to rocket!). With very early morning classes and later night classes, there is always at least one I can fit into my schedule.
They are always evolving and hosting awesome events and workshops. It’s an exciting place to be with so much going on all the time if you ever want to expand your practice outside of your comfort zone.
It is also the most beautiful and well crafted studio I’ve ever been in. The environment is everything you could want and it smells lovely. How they do that is a mystery… because some of the classes I like get me pretty sweaty.
They also have quality mats, towels, rad yoga pants and tanks, and some local jewelry and such for sale if that’s something you need. Mats for rent if you need that too.

Being new to yoga can be intimidating but the staff and studio culture here make it fun and relaxed. The studio itself is beautiful. Exposed rafters and brick throughout the studio are both ascetically appealing and have the influence of making you feel like you’re in a real and unique place. This makes it both a welcome environment to work on being mindful and present and a nice change of pace from the deluge of strip malls in this part of the county.
I started with their $ 5.00 Friday (a great deal! be considerate and come early to find a space) and a couple of weeks later I signed up for an unlimited month. I am a perfectly happy customer and would recommend giving this studio a go, whether you are a lifetime yogi or a total novice looking to mix up your fitness experience.

Why 5 stars? Because it was my first Yoga experience, and now I’m spoiled.

My 900^th review is a special one! Prior to our Unilocal event here on 2÷20÷15, I had never performed a single yoga pose in my life, but I gave my yovirginity to Body Electric, and now we’ll always be connected.
First off, let’s start with the coolest part of Body Electric — the space. The wood floors, brick walls, and exposed beams… not only do I feel the serenity, but I kind of want to live in there. Maybe Jenny and I can work something out that’s mutually beneficial :)
The class that I’ve taken a couple of times is Flow Down Lite, by Amy, and I really enjoy it. I live in Tampa, so Sunday afternoons are a great time for me to make it to St. Pete. Afterward, we usually grab lunch downtown so that we can get our DTSP fix in!
Flow Down Lite is a great class for a beginner like me, but I also see people in there that appear to be seasoned experts, so it seems to be pretty universal.
The B.E. offers tons of different classes all throughout the week, whether you’re looking for something in the morning, afternoon, or evening. It’s really impossible to not find something that works for you :)

The Body Electric Yoga Company is the best studio on the West coast of Florida. Each and every class is challenging and inspiring in the best ways possible. All of the teachers bring their own beautiful techniques and perspectives to the many facets of yoga. The energy transfer that you experience is more then a individual practice but also a communal bond of empowerment.
Various types of classes are offered (Mysore, Hatha, restorative, power flow, beginner, rocket, etc) different workshops, visiting instructors, and live music! Prices are extremely reasonable! This studio is fully equipped with all the amenities a yogi could dream of.
Environment is key for a well balanced practice. The Body Electric provides a light, fluid, gentle place to surrender to the medicine that is yoga. We are lucky to be apart of this yogi family.

I always look forward to BE yoga classes. The classes can be tough (faves are Hot Enough Flow, Power Flow), but in the best way possible. I always leave feeling refreshed. All of the instructors each bring their own unique style to class. Many of them incorporate a positive message or talk about a recent news trend that further illustrates the importance of yoga – which is a really nice touch. They have a lot of workshops on the weekends; one coming up teaches the correct way to do a sun salutation.
It can get very full in the classes so I always try to arrive about 10 minutes early. Folks are good about making room though if you do happen to come on the later side. The prices are incredibly reasonable compared to other group classes in the area – especially if you go for the monthly unlimited option.
Whether you are new to yoga or have been doing it for years definitely check out Body Electric!
