Best option by far in the food court by far if your a fan of teriyaki. What sets this place apart from the other Asian court chains is that the protein is grilled fresh right in front of you. You don’t have to worry about your chicken sitting in a hot pan or under a heat lamp. I like the veggies(particularly the cabbage) that accompany the rice or soba noodles depending on your preference. I always ask for an extra ladle of sauce to top it off and it makes all the he difference. Trust me! I’d it overpriced? Sure, but for a good court convenience adds to the value!

Ah, this place was a disappointment. So sad there are no good food options at this mall. Everything I tried was poor quality. I could go to one of the restaurants, of course but sometimes I just want quick«fast» food. Maki of Japan seemed like best option. Shrimp Teriyaki was very bland, I had to add salt. Fried rice was also bland and undercooked(I asked to try) therefore I chose white rice. My bottom line — food was bland and oily(but really hot as cooked right in front of you). It was $ 8 — not worth it!

It’s in the food court at that mall which makes it convenient. And considering it’s food court food, the price isn’t terrible. The service isn’t great, though I’m not sure that I’m supposed to expect more at the mall. I had the chicken teriyaki with white rice. It’s cooked right in front of you, so you’re not given a product that’s been sitting in a bin for who knows how long. But because it’s cooked in front of you, it takes a bit of time to get your food. As such, this is not a place to go if you’re in a hurry. The food was okay, nothing to write home about.

Lunch rush visit on a Friday afternoon… They cook the food fresh and depending on the time of day you’ll have to wait so plan accordingly because I did not. I went to the mall with several co-workers and they all got their food from a different vendor. They had their food quick whereas I stood waiting in line. I only ordered vegetable soba and I didn’t get why it took so long and I really still don’t. By the time I sat with my friends it was time to head back to work. I didn’t order chicken, but still waited in line waiting for it to be cooked because they had two men doing chicken and one man doing rice. My food was hot and fresh, but not really worth the wait.

This place used to be called Sarku of Japan, the food is the same and it still remains my favorite place in Tyrone Square Mall to eat.
