Everything Dolce

I ordered a treat tray for an important open house my clients loved it. Very fresh, delicious.

Just ok. Nice staff, but didn’t find their desserts to be fantastic. My daughter didn’t like her chocolate chip cookie, my husband’s dessert was way too sweet, and my almond croissant was ok. Hate that heavy feeling after eating desert and that’s what we all left feeling with only eating half of our desert.

The raspberry clichey opera cake was amazing. Also ordered two hot chocolates and they were pretty good but nothing special. It’s nice that they have outdoor seating with a stage for indie bands and singers. Overall, the service was great but only 4 stars because everything is overpriced.

Great coffee and desserts. Excellent service. My friend had the chili and did not love it. The manager noticed she did not finish it and asked for feedback. He comped us for free dessert to make up for it!

Went on a Friday with a friend to catch up and we did not want to go drinking or to a bar. The staff was friendly, but they are not super quick. .. they take their time and that is OK because sometimes life is too rushed. They want to make sure you are going to like what you get and ask a lot of questions to qualify what you might be looking for or that you know what you are getting. It is nice to see people care so much. They offer many desserts, coffee and tea drinks. They do have wine and beer (I think). We sat outside in their big patio and they had live music. Enjoy!

SWEET SERVICE
Excellent service is the first sweetness from this Dolce. The owner/​manager (I didn’t ask his role) was smiling and ready to assist without being a stalker. While BF and I labored over the menu, the same staff approached us with a sample of their Spinoccoli Pasta. In the same helpfulness our orders were brought outside and we were checked on a few times even though this is just a counter-​service place.
INTIMATE LIVE MUSIC
With a small stage, you won’t see loud rock bands here– prepare for more intimate performances in the little patio such as suave Latin guitarist or a trumpet-​playing jazz singer. The talent is very likable and seem to be given a good freedom to entertain. The couches lining the side are sure to be taken first. Perhaps it’s just the location but the air seems to be at a standstill on that patio making the smell from any cigarettes easy to smell.
DELICIOUS AND YUMMY
What goes better with soothing music than something sweet? Many delectable pastries line the counter covered in plastic to stay fresh. While that destroys a bit of the visual effect, at least my nom-​noms have tasted great. A Blueberry Crumb Cake arrived warm, mildly crunchy, yet soft and topped with an impressive swirl of Ice Cream and Whipped Cream – the size was well worth the price! A Café Mocha was also very smooth and rich with a great balance of the Espresso and Chocolate flavors and a touch of sweet. Other items I’ve tried was a $ 2 Sangria Special (but wasn’t advertised) and The Adventurist – a Tuna Salad with fresh and crisp Lettuce and Tomato on a fluffy Croissant. All very good.
BUT…
My experiences here have been very good but the crowds haven’t really seemed to come in especially in the evening. With Alcohol and Live Music a ready competition in areas closer to Downtown (Everything Dolce has a decent stock of Craft Beer bottles but it’s definitely not their main selling point) and with meals and snacks in close walking proximity – Everything Dolce faces a difficult evening time. With dessert and smooth music as its idea (or so I’m led to believe) this concept would probably work better IN Downtown but is probably not enough for people to make that drive (albeit short) out here.

Tiffany H. Kept pointing me out to this place through her check ins. Since I was in the area with my hubby and my doggie, We had to check it out. I can’t believe I never checked out this side of central ave. There are so many local shops and restaurants, and little art galleries that I didn’t even know existed. How exciting. I drove past everything dolce after the St. Pete indie market. I noticed it was open late, so I thought, hmm, this should be a nice night spot. So, we came after our dinner at La V, which was a straight shot.
We ordered the chocolate raspberry torte. We sat outside, and listened to some wonderful guitar playing some flamenco like music under the stars and a nice ambiance of white lights. The cushy couches were nice. We had our shih tzu dog with us and he was even so comfy. Kept thinking how nice I could have him with us at this nice lounge like experience.
Our raspberry chocolate torte was very chocolatey rich and yummy. There also were other desserts like tres leches, German chocolate cake, tiramisu, lemon bars, red velvet cake, just to name a few. In addition, they have wine, sangria, beer, and various bottled alcohol drinks, coffees, and root beer floats.
This place is a casual type of place to hang out with friends, and just pretend every day is a weekend. The service at first seemed a bit absent and non acknowledging, but when I finally ordered they were nice and helpful. I would like to see more ambiance inside and out. It’s quite simple and not many decorations inside and out.
It was still a very nice, soothing experience with great music, great desserts, and of course my doggie Mocha sitting next to me enjoying his life as well.

The husband and I were looking for a gluten free dessert and we found that and more at Everything Dolce! Great service! The gentlemen behind the counter took the time to tell us the favorites. Husband had a peanut butter chocolate treat and I had a chocolate gluten free dessert. Both were delicious! Looking forward to going back!

This was intended to be a quick stop when my wife and I were having a dessert craving but we ended up hanging around for almost 2 hours. We entered to be warmly greeted by the owner who patiently told us what the dessert menu was and helped us make our selections. My wife got the custard brioche and I got the tiramisu. Both were absolutely heavenly. Add to the fact that they have awesome live music in the patio and it makes for a perfect dessert stop. Will definitely stop by again to support this local gem.

Everything Dolce is everything you are looking for in a coffee shop, but it’s so much more! They offer standard coffee drinks, but also offer root beer floats, wine, beer, and flavored sodas. Their menu features tasty sandwiches and salads, but the star of the show is their dessert case. The Almond Rum Croissant is by far my favorite, especially warm. Yum.
They feature artwork by local artists, have an amazing outdoor patio with comfy seating and frequently host live music offerings.
Quite the caffeinated gem on Central!

Met up here with fellow Unilocaler Tiffany H at her suggestion, and I was impressed, Other than the live music (which was REALLY LOUD — and OUT Side) this place was really nice. The coffees were delicious and the desserts looked amazingly yummy. When I get the chance you can bet that I will be back to Everything Dolce.

Cute place with great coffee and very unusual desserts. Definitely on the decadent side, so if you like lighter textures and tastes be careful what you order. We went on a breezy night with an acoustic guitarist playing, it was ideal for a romantic date.
As nice as it was, it is kind of your typical bakery dessert café, and nothing stands out too much. Solid quality place, but not much on novelty.

I was looking for a nice sit-​down coffee place to study and happen to drive by this place. My bf and I were curious, so decided to stop in. Have to say, we were very surprised by the interior of this place. It’s been renovated to look more elegant than what it poses on the outside. The service, owners, were great. They were hospitable and friendly. We ordered the Patron sandwich which is like a fancy healthy grilled cheese sandwich without the grill marks and grease. I loved that they used roast chicken in their sandwich along with spinach. We also ordered the Mac and cheese dish. We were pleasantly surprised that they didn’t use macaroni elbows, which I’m not so much a fan of. Overall we loved their food so far. We stayed at Everything Dolce for about two to three hours studying. They didn’t seem to mind and would ask if we were ok or if we wanted drink refills from time to time. I really like that this place has several outlets if you ever need to charge your devices. I also like that they have long hours.
This place is good for anytime of the day but for me lunch and dinner preferably. I hope to bring my friends here next time.

I first heard about this establishment through a Bougie Brunch event. Great variety of desserts (from cannoli’s to gluten free brownies) and the mimosas had a good ratio. I liked that the berry cobbler wasn’t overly sweet.
The second time I went, I enjoyed a mocha and a lemon bar cake which was a little too sweet for my palate. I provided five stars for the accommodating service and friendly staff. There’s more seating available outside, perfect for events and local artists to perform. I find Everything Dolce to be a grand place for a productive study session.

Maybe my experience at Everything Dolce was not relevant, because I visited at an event time?
We saved room for dessert and rolled up in this place late on a Friday night, looking for a classy dessert and some coffee. Please forgive me. I am not as familiar with Central Ave like most, but from the reviews and photos I thought this place would be a posh joint. Judging from the clientele and the facility, that is not the case. And, after talking to friends, I should have known better…
Again, please forgive me— I had a fantasy of Everything Dolce with dim lighting, fancy desserts and coffees well-​plated, in a quietly romantic atmosphere. Like a late night «dessert house» that Tampa Bay desperately needs and is still lacking. Even though the prices were fancy, what I got instead was:
Patchouli doused, rude, middle-​aged (I am too), semi-​homeless non-​paying customers, crammed together like sardines in a run-​down coffeehouse talking about their terrible splatter paintings on the walls at maximum volume. Awful live music playing outside, and the lighting was so bright; you would have thought it was a Steak-​n-​shake (I guess so you could see the «art.»)
It is really unfortunate because the couple that run the place are extremely professional and the desserts are fantastic. The custard filled brioche and almond croissant are exceptional. But, I cannot justify paying nine dollars for a dessert that I could only stomach if I ate it at a different location.
There have been many times that the patrons of a business killed my experience. Something that the business owners really cannot control…

Started going here with a friend and it’s become our «go-​to» coffee shop downtown. It’s been pretty solid as far as delicious caffeinated beverages go, barring my friend’s experience with a certain barista who no longer works there. I’ve had delicious lattes of various flavors and a truly wonderful root-​beer float! The employees and manager have been wonderful and friendly, always suggesting new things and adding great things to their menu.
The desserts are pretty good too; my favorite so far has been the almond croissant thing. I totally forget what it was called – but it was absolutely stunning and I’ll probably always get that when it’s available. I generally enjoy the atmosphere as long as the music is outdoors, the space is really too small for indoor musicians with microphones as the acoustics are ear-​splitting inside. Went in there recently and left without getting anything due to this. My feeling is that a microphone really isn’t necessary in such a small space with tile floors.

I walked in before watching someone get inked. He had a free beverage coupon, and I wanted a snack. I was overwhelmed by the beautiful and delicious options! Dolce has everything you could ever dream of snacking on. Going here for dessert would truly be a treat.
The environment is lovely. It’s cozy inside with large displays of delectable treats. The menu is full of options you can’t see visually. There’s a whole section for vegan and gluten free goodies too.
The prices are a bit high for what you get, so that’s why I deducted a star. Still, I don’t mind shelling out for a treat every now and then. It feels nice to pamper yourself with goodies.
The staff member who served us seemed kind of spacey. He didn’t know how to deduct 15%, so that was kind of annoying since he treated us a little indifferently. The staff could be better, but maybe it was just a bad time.
Overall, I’ll be back. I plan to attend some of the events here like doggie social and live music. Dolce has a great atmosphere and delicious menu.

Okay. Since my initial review, I’ve been back in here a few more times. I’m happy to report I don’t have to deal with the pretentious BS of cinnamon vs. no cinnamon anymore. I still love the people here, the coffee is still good, and I think the lemon square might own my soul with all its buttery goodness.

I stopped by today to get some goodies for an office. Inside this little shop is inviting and their display case looked fantastic.
I picked out a dozen various cookies and an espresso chip gluten free cookie for myself. I must say, If this is what gluten free tastes like I’m a fan.
I also ordered a cinnamon café con leche, which was quite tasty-​it might have been a little top sweet for me, but with a little less sugar it would have been spot on.
I hope this little independent sweet shop survives. I was feelin’ the vibe and the woman who helped me was incredibly friendly.

Why 4 stars? Because there’s nothing like a friendly, neighborhood coffee shop.

Never heard of Everything Dolce, but I think they will be getting my business from now on when I am need of caffeine in St Pete. I went with a Café Con Leche, and it was certainly delicious. The best part, was the banter between myself and the people behind the counter, as I awaited my sugary goodness. Friendliness is awesome.
And sugary, it was. He asked me if I wanted it sweet (uh, yes… every single time, sir) and he hooked it up. That was one delicious CCL, and it wasn’t even made by a Cuban!
Job well done, new favorite coffee shop in St Pete.
