Enterprise Rent-A-Car

My car dealership uses this enterprise for when we drop off our car and need a ‘loaner’. We called them at 7:30am and said we needed a ride promptly. They are less than 2 minutes away from the dealership. At 8am, we had to call back to check and see where they were. They arrived about 7 minutes later. I was picked up by the service technician, instead of a counter associate. The car smelled absolutely horrible, as if someone just got done smoking an entire pack of cigarettes. I don’t smoke and have no desire to smell like an ashtray. In addition, I was in work clothes with a day packed of meetings. I asked the driver why it smelled so bad, and he said that he had just picked it up, so it had not been cleaned yet. I should not have been picked up in a vehicle that had not yet been cleaned. We get to the enterprise store, and they have 3 cars for me to choose from: 1 is a premium that i would have to pay extra for, the second one is the smoke filled car i was picked up in which still needed to be cleaned, and the 3^rd was a car that still had to be cleaned. That was it. They ended up giving me the premium one at no extra charge. The clock in the car was wrong, and it had less than a quarter tank of gas. When this is your business and this is what you specialize in, those things should be precise.
Enterprise needs to enhance/​improve their process. I should be able to get in their car at the dealership and go. Enterprise should be using tablets to have me sign the paperwork electronically. With them being so close to the dealership, they should have golf carts or scooters or some mode of transportation to get back to their store. This is what they specialize in, and should have this process mastered to cater to their demographic.

Rented here for a two week trip in Florida. Super busy place at check-​in. Have rented from Enterprise quite a bit. Had a few bumps with this rental but happy that when i expressed concern to Joe he more than understand and was happy to get things right. Not everything goes perfect always, but when the end result is a manager that cares and understands that your return business is important… What else can you ask for! Thanks!

Great service. Always very busy but the staff take it all in stride and still provide excellent service. I personally have not experienced any issues but I have been present when some issues have come up for other customers and the staff always provide a satisfactory resolution.

This Enterprise location really went the extra mile for me in a tough situation. Paul stayed long after closing hours to ensure I had a car when my insurance company took a long time to process their approval. Every detail became complex from outside factors, and Paul was completely on track for how to resolve each roadblock. A true professional with tenacity and a sense of humor. Definitely recommend!

I was definitely not impressed. When I arrived, there were probably 3 or 4 employees at the front desk and 2 other patrons. A few other employees walked in as I was standing there still waiting to be greeted and instead of any of the employees behind the desk acknowledging me, they started chatting to the employees who just arrived. Finally, someone asks me if I’ve been helped to which I replied that I had not. They said they would be with me shortly. When it was finally my turn at the counter, the transaction went smoothly. However, I was completely disappointed with the vehicle I was given. When I did the «walk around» with the employee representative, I noted several scrapes to the car to which I was told I would not be responsible. When I opened the car door to look at the inside, there were stains all over the front and back seats and it didn’t even look like the car had been vacuumed or wiped down since the last renter. I commented on this to the employee and she basically just asked me to go ahead and sign for the car… not impressed. I’m also writing this review because I was told by the employee that I had to choose one of the two options for insurance to add to my rental even though I have my own car insurance (and had my insurance information with me). She told me that I had to purchase the basic supplementary insurance to cover damages to the car… I didn’t have time to argue with her because I had to get back to work and I was already irritated with the car she gave me. I feel like not only did I pay for a car that I was completely unsatisfied with, but that I was scammed out of money for insurance that I didn’t even need. I will NOT rent a car with Enterprise again. Very disappointed.

To echo the sentiments of others, while it is not as fast as the airport, the employees are all supremely helpful and have terrific attitudes. Even amidst crowding during the renovation and long lines forming, the team maintains a positive and upbeat demeanor and ensures that all customers receive personalized attention. Having to rent a car twice in one week could have easily been a nightmare, but this Enterprise location made it easy peezy! Would definitely return in the future.

This is a great location to rent a car. It is not as speedy and efficient as an airport, put they make up for it by being extra friendly.

Both of our cars lost AC on the same weekend and both of our cars needed to go into the shop. We rented a mid size car on a very busy Saturday right before this branch closed for the day. There were a ton of people in the lobby but the Enterprise employees worked very efficiently and made all customers feel like a priority. They helped people get back on the road quickly and without breaking the bank. We were very impressed with their low prices, excellent selection, and incredibly friendly and knowlegeable staff. We highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

I’ve been going to this location for over four years and have never had a unsatisfied experience. I highly recommend this location! Great rates & the customer service is amazing! 5+ Stars!

Great service if you find yourself in this area of town. Shady area but good service :)

This place was busy, but they had a lot of people working. I arrived at scheduled time and I was out of there in about 30 minutes. The car had stains on the backseat, I was told this was OK and I would not be charged for it. That was true, but I would have preferred a cleaner car. The people were very friendly and hard working — it was just a very busy place. I would rent from here again.

Everyone in this office was very professional yet friendly. They were able to get me a car on short notice through an insurance claim done through another office. Thanks for all your help in a very difficult time!

The man who picked us up (in his 80s) was a great introduction to the area, very knowledgeable about the area. Allison, was very helpful in getting us checked in and out the door. And the drop off at the airport at 5 am was as simple as leaving the keys. Within two days, we received our bill via email with the returned deposit. All was reassuring and easy.

I just wanted to provide some feedback on my recent rental experience at the Enterprise 34^th St N. location in St. Petersburg, FL. As an Enterprise Plus member, I am used to renting most of my cars at airport locations based on my travel schedule. Recently moved to St. Pete, this location was very close to my house, and so I thought I would give it a try for a rental to Orlando for business meetings.
After booking through Concur the day before, I walked in around 8am that morning, and was surprised to find that there were no cars to be had at that time. There were 7 – 8 people waiting anxiously, and a small staff of people working furiously to alleviate their concerns and get them on the road as quickly as possible. Miguel the branch manager did a great job of managing the situation, and keeping every one informed, as well as cleaning a vehicle himself. He was able to get me a vehicle, as he knew I had a meeting I needed to make shortly, and I appreciated the huge upgrade.
As a former manager in retail for more than 25 years, I can say that he and his staff did a great job managing the chaos, and getting customers on their way, despite the clear challenges. This was the first time in the last 5 years that I showed up at a rental counter and there was no vehicle available for me to drive away, and in all honesty, I initially thought I would write this location off for future travel. That said, the fact that they were doing everything they could to get their customers’ needs met reminded me that there are days when things go wrong, and what truly matters is how a staff handles those challenges. In my opinion, they did a great job in making things right, and I will certainly look to this office for future rentals, especially if this team is operating the location.

Friendly and helpful staff at check-​in and return. If they don’t have the class of car I reserved at check-​in I always get a choice of something better. The cars are clean. I will continue to use this location when I need to rent locally.

Good hours and fast check-​in and check-​out times. Make reservations online as the rates seem to be a bit cheaper that way. There’s also 2 gas stations nearby on 34^th to refill the cars before returning.
