One of our favorites in town. We are wine lovers and this list is awesome. Love the menu and the fact that they now have specials. Have had several and they are outstanding. Service is exemplary and helpful and they take the time to know the wine and food menus. The personal touch from folks like Sarah, Alex, Chris, Megan and more makes it a come-back place. Well done!

Went here for a birthday dinner and drinks. Ordered charcuterie, truffle Mac n cheese gnocchi, and braised short ribs. Everything was EXCELLENT and well worth the prices! The food brought back a ton of childhood memories and it was nice to reminisce of my grandparents and things we used to share. Thank you Annata for the food, the atmosphere and the love! I will be back!

Unique Experience! The atmosphere was up scale and the music was so much fun…“Old School Stride-Swing Jazz With A Sultry Twist!”. There were four of us. We shared the Charcuterie tray and a few other small plates and were very pleased. We would definitely go back for another fun night out.

What brings you back to a restaurant? Good food or good service? Tonight we all decided that food gets beat by service. I’m not sure — given all of the other choices in St. Pete that I would return. The food was good — but man the service was lacking. Strange things like not providing water — bringing our wine super late — not waiting on us for a while before we finally flagged someone down. Maybe it was a fluke but since I’m here almost every week on business I know there are many other options where the service helps make the food seem better and definitely would draw me back :(

If someone asks you to drink a bottle of red wine at 4pm on a Wednesday in 85 degree heat, you say yes. You say yes, and you drink that wine. And while you’re at it, why don’t you get off your high horse and some eat some Italian meats and cheeses? If I could live at this restaurant, I would. It has everything I need. More wine than you shake a corkscrew at, expertly aged dairy products, thinly sliced layers of exotic, cured meats. The bar is a giant slab of marble. Cool to the touch, expansive and welcoming. Two friends and I chose to sit here and were greeted by our friendly and enthusiastic bartender, Sarah. I have not met a person more knowledgeable or passionate about wine in my life. It was a delight to be served by her. After much scrutiny and many, many samples, we selected a bottle of red to split while we munched on our cheese and charcuterie. My dining experience ended there so I can’t speak much about the entrees. I will say that as a tourist in St. Petersburg, I was thrilled to stumble upon such a great restaurant. I hope to be back soon!

While on vacation from CT, we were told to come to St. Petersburg, this was our first stop. We came in when it had first opened and Sarah came right over to help us without hesitation. She was extremely friendly and dove right in to explaining the beer and wine list. I told her I wanted a smoother cheese and she knew exactly what I was looking for. This was the best experience we had in St. Petersburg and wish I lived closer to come here more often.

Think this would be good for a girls night out. Problem is I’m a man. This quaint wine bar on beautiful Beach Drive is nestled perfectly in the heart of DTSP. The atmosphere reminded me of an upscale NYC lounge and brick walls and dark cedar wood bar. There was a two man violin and guitar playing at the entrance which entranced the mood more. Perfect for a quick first date or glass of wine. Unfortunately I came here for DINNER with fiancé and mother but ended up eating a ‘real’ meal when we got home. This is a wine and cheese bar which offers small portions of food; smaller than tapas portions. The cheese, wine, and portions we ordered were good but extremely lacking sustenance.

Read about this place on Unilocal was was surprised we had not heard of it before. It was so good! The charcuterie choices are incredible along with a really good wine list. It may not seem like a lot of food but every time we have had the pick 5 and have gotten pretty full. The staff was pretty good at recommending wine pairings so give them a try. Table outside are great for downtown St. Pete.

How do I love the? Let me count the ways. Amongst the pretentious store fronts along Beach Dr, many of which appearing to sell a «dinning experience» Annata is a diamond in the rough! Yes, they have swanky décor, yes they have a fancy menu, and yes they have a well put together staff; at a glance this doesn’t really seam to differentiate them from the other shops on the block. BUT the difference here is they deliver on these promises, and with modesty. Great food, great atmosphere, great wine, great service AND reasonable prices; it all adds up to FUN. Thank you Annata!

My boyfriend and I spent a portion of our Monday evening here enjoying their half priced bottles of wine offer. I love how Annata is located just across the street from the marina so you can get a glimpse of a water view from their outdoor tables. That’s where we were because for an indoor table was a 45 min — on a Monday night, granted it was Labor Day, but still kinda crazy so make a reservation. The interior dining place is fun with amber lighting bright enough to see but low to keep it romantic and loungey. The restaurant is one large room split in two sections(no dividers); They have a long bar on the left side of the dining room and the right side has the tables and booths. If you have trouble hearing the acoustics may be an issue. It was a fun atmosphere though to me. We ordered a bottle of wine and a flatbread. The bread was a little chewy for my taste. It was saved by the generous portion of mozzarella and the waitress was kind enough to snag me an extra serving of balsamic vinegar. The appetizer was not good enough to lure me back to dinner only because there are so many places to try here. Service was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive.

Wow! Can I go back every day? We joined friends for dinner and had a wonderful evening. Service was top notch and the food was delicious. We shared a large charcuterie board and had some small plates. Gnocchi Mac and cheese was delicious. The wine selection has plenty of options at different values. We will be back very soon. One of the best spots on Beach Dr!

Why isn’t this place around the corner from my house? If it was I would probably be there multiple times a night. If you are into enjoying some cheese, wine and charcuterie and then maybe have a snack or two, then this is the place for you. The short rib is very nice but on the small side, but so flavorful. Remember, get one of the sharing boards and then think of the other things as snacks to finish you off and you will be set. Be sure to ask about the daily pâté. They usually have a few and they are a nice treat. The wine list has a number of interesting things and a fair number by the glass if you just want to go that way. We went on Sunday and bottles were deeply discounted. Which allowed us to try something normal out of our price range and it was a great treat. One really neat thing was the dessert board. The chocolate«salami» is inspired and nicely done. It looks like a little blood salami, all dark and rich, but the«fat» are nuts and the darkness is of course from the chocolate. A little powder sugar on the outside, looks like casing. It is lovely and tasted so good! Your eyes are telling you one thing but when you bite into it you are thinking a really good chocolate cookie sort of thing. Plus some fresh berries and some good blue cheese and this is a really nice way to end a great night. Can’t wait to go back, but also need to plan on a sunday so I can try some other high end wine.

This is my new favorite date night spot. It’s intimate and their charcuterie plates are unparalleled to any other wine bar I’ve been to in the Tampa Bay area. The seasoned marcona almonds are outstanding(and yes they come on every charcuterie board). The cheese selection is wonderful and the cured meats are plentiful and delicious. We came here on a whim for Creative Loafing’s Restaurant week because their menu was generous and allowed us to try an assortment of their menu. If you like brie, you will love the ribiola due latte(sheep and cow milk blend from Italy). My husband and I sparred with our cheese knives for the last remnants of it ;) Not expecting too much from the truffle gnocchi mac and cheese, I was dumbfounded. The truffle oil came out loud and strong and it was a very generous portion. We both loved it. We also loved the lamb ragout – bursting with flavor. So why did I take away a star? Well their a/c was half out and I was rocking a pretty sweet sweatstache that was less than flattering as a result. Hopefully they have the AC back on full blast because we can’t wait to go back!

Another wistful moment of wishing I could award a 6th star! The owners of Mazzaro’s market outdid themselves with the flavors, ambiance and service provided in this hip St. Pete favorite. A couple days later and I am STILL licking my lips from the most delicious meatballs I may have ever eaten and they were chicken picatta«meat’balls too! Do not miss this place when you are in the area and then be sure to go to their local market just a short drive away and pick up all the ingredients to make their delightful food at home.

Love Love Love! This is a great place to stop and have some AWESOME wine and GREAT food. Atmosphere wasn’t lacking either, you can sit either inside or out. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked very tasty! The hubby and I shared a meat and cheese board. You must have the Soppressata and the Truffle Ham… it had a fancy name that I have forgotten lol. Also on the board were some dried apricots, stuffed olives, whole grain mustard, an honey… just to name a few. Two glasses of wine an 20 min later I was full and happy. This place doesn’t take reservations due to the limited space. You should definitely stop by here the next time you have a chance. I can’t wait to go again. I’m sure my review will change from 4 to 5 stars once I gave tried some other foods.

Wow! So this place is not only super trendy with its exposed brick and awesome staff, the food was more then we expected. Had the charcuterie tray pick 5 and I can do just that… so many choices all fantastic! The heirloom tomato salad was delicious with its mozzarella, balsamic vinegar and pesto splash I was in heaven. I didn’t even need that warm toast but the presentation was great. I also had the pan seared scallops on a touch of cream corn. They were perfect in the seashells I had to just stare for a moment. My boyfriend, Will had the Caesar salad and steak tartare. I couldn’t eat a steak tartare if I tried but he thoroughly enjoyed it! If you’re looking for a place for dinner or for drinks and an app check it out. Downtown St Pete continues to amaze me!

As soon as I sat down I said to my friend, I would love a bar in a future home I own to look like this with maybe fewer glasses to which she replied, «but if you had this many glasses, you would not need to wash them as much». Well played, Elise. Well played. I gave it two stars due to ambiance and excellent service at the bar. The disappointing food weighed as heavily on my review as the Truffle Gnocchi Mac and Cheese did on my stomach. I was so excited to try this place as I love, love, love a good wine bar. They do not take reservations, which I am also a huge fan of as I believe it levels the playing field for those who either are spontaneous or do not always have the time to be planners. It pains me as I write this because I was hoping all of my love would meet in one place. It is a place I might(and that is an optimistic might) return for a glass of wine but would not eat at again. Here is why: I had the burrata, which came served over tomatoes with pesto and balsamic reduction. The burrata, pesto, and balamic were alright but the tomatoes were bad. Mealy and squishy, gushy. They fell apart when I touched them with a fork. I understand they do not grow the tomatoes in the back yard but the entire dish, even without the tomatoes, was a C -. I shared the gnocchi with my friend and while it is listed as a small plate, we were lucky to share it because it was extremely heavy(the bartender referred to it as a finishing move because it will make you full and be the last thing you eat) and pretty flat, or «one note» as Tom Colicchio says. Next course was Sauteed Wild Mushroom, Heirloom Tomato, Ricotta, Quail Egg, and Truffle Oil flat bread. The name is false advertising as this flat bread has many of my favorite things implying a home run but it was unpleasant and I do not believe qualifies as a successful bunt. The mushrooms were really thick, hard, and chewy. I would guess they were not cooked based on the flavor but they could be overcooked based on the consistency. The ricotta was barely existent and the quail eggs were not gooey enough to save this dry dish. I did not detect truffle oil in texture or taste. Finally, was the ricotta cheesecake. The presentation was off-putting for those who eat with their eyes. They garnish it with walnuts that are swollen and tasteless. They slice them so they look like either strange olives or browned jalapenos. Worst ricotta cheesecake I have ever had. It was described by the bartender as airy. Airy as a brick. Ugh. It made me want to fly all the way to RI just to go to La Masseria for theirs so that my last experience with ricotta cheesecake is what I dream of, not something that I would never eat again under any circumstances. I am so bummed!
