SO good. Food was tasty and hot. Similar to Steak N Shake but a little better in my opinion. I didn’t get any pics of the food. But the sundaes are top notch! Customizable and large portions!

A place where you can get frozen custard in the middle of winter? Sign me up please. Came here for a late lunch and got a Steak and Shake-like vibe. Only this place looked and felt much cleaner and happier. There’s no table service here. You walk up to the counter and order your food and then go find a table until they call your number. Easy peasy. We had a late lunch here. I tried the chili, Hubby got a burger, Kid got grilled cheese, and not one complaint out of any of our mouths. Well there was one complaint from the kid about them not having mac and cheese, but he got over that real quick with the promise of frozen custard. Speaking of frozen custard… I tried the Hawaiian delight sundae and wanted seconds. Why are they not in the Chicago area yet?!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Good food! We had visitors from out of town that recommended Freddy’s and was very pleased. Would recommend as a great alternative to Steak n Shake. Similar food and staff is way better.

Went here for lunch one day because I like Steak ‘n Shake and heard this was a lot like it. The fries were amazing but the burgers were way way too salty. Service was fast. Really just wish the burger wouldn’t have been so salty.

I discovered Freddys on my way to Texas. Then I find out there is one in St. Peters. I like Freddy’s way better than Steak and Shake. I like the Freddy sauce which seems like a mayo/ketchup mix. I hope they open more in this area. the ice cream is way better also.

Good burgers on par with Steak and Shake. That being said, I need to go back again to find out why I need to go to Freddy’s in the first place. Not bad food. Just not stellar.

We’ve been here twice. The first time was to check it out, and it’s basically a more expensive, less delicious version of Steak n Shake. The people working there are always nice, but the food is considerably more with no table service and smaller portioned/less-fresh tasting food. We gave it another shot last night because I had a gift card, so we went to get ice cream. I had a mint cookie dough, and it was as though they just poured mint syrup on top of ice cream with cookie dough crumbs in it. Texture was all wrong — the chunks of cookie dough are the entire reason for getting that flavor. Even at free, it wasn’t worth the trip. Think we’ll stick with the other steak burger and ice cream place in town.

Been here a few times. The food is always good. It’s a combination of Steak ‘n Shake burgers and fries with the ice cream of Culver’s. The Freddy’s sauce is like the sauce from Rising Canes. It’s taste like thousands island dressing and ketchup mixed together. It’s pretty good with the burgers and fries if you add some pepper. Im not crazy with the seasoning on the fries but the can order them without seasoning. The custard is good. Had a apple pie concrete. It was awesome.

Similar to steak and shake. However a little pricier. My son and I did not enjoy the fry sauce. I would possibly go back but it would not be my first pick.

Love this place! Excellent service! Always clean and people are friendly! Live that they don’t put beans in their chili! We go as often as we can!

Similar to all the other reviews — just like Steak ‘n Shake — only better. No table service which makes it even better in my mind. I just had a steak burger so that’s my comparison but the fries are also very, very similar to Steak ‘n Shake(as is nearly the entire menu).

I had the California burger which has a sauce on there they call Freddy’s fry sauce. It was a good burger. You can also get the sauce to dip your fries or onion rings in. It would remind you of onion ring sauce from many other places. For dessert I had funnel cake sundae that was very good. Good customer service and quality food. The only thing that was a downer was we had to clean our own table prior to eating. It wasn’t busy, so there was plenty of time for them to clean, but it hadn’t been done.

Food is pretty good just like Steak and Shake in my mind. I like the shakes here better and no table side service

I literally could hold the patty up in front of my eyes and could still see enough to drive. If you thought Stake and Shake was thin burgers, this places makes Steak-n-Shakes look thick! Don’t get me wrong… great taste, but after a double and fries I was even hungrier than when I leave Steak-n-Shake. Have you noticed the majority of reviews compare to Steak-n-Shake? They are very similar but there is way more value at Steak-n-Shake. When we first ordered I thought Wow, only thirty six bucks for six of us… everything was tiny, that’s why it was cheap. Small burgers, small hotdogs small orders of fries. You will probably like the food but then question why you got so little or why you paid so much to fill you up. I suppose they are hoping you are still hungry and buy a frozen custard???

Similar to steak n shake but better quality. The burgers are bigger and more flavored and the fries are seasoned really well. I can tell the food is fresher there so I don’t mind paying a dollar or two more. The ice cream is also of a better quality. Great experience with the service, too.

Very good fast food. Very similar to the national chain of hamburgers & milk shakes that I cannot name due to the terms of Unilocal.About the only difference is that they do not have table service.

I’ve been here 3 times and my family have had amazing experiences all three times. The food is basically a pricier Steak n Shake, BUT the employees here are literally the most energetic, kind, and inviting people I’ve ever met! Singing, smiling, an just a general great attitude! They even gave my son a complimentary ice cream because they thought he was well behaved. The food is delicious, don’t get me wrong, but the employees make this place a family fav!

Pretty much just a better Steak ‘n Shake. Very kind employees. Try their fries with the ‘fry sauce’. For a fast food place– 4 stars.

4 Stars for the Steakburgers 5 Stars for the Fries 2 Stars for the atmosphere inside Couldn’t wait for this place to open as I had been passing by daily as the building was renovated. We are also kinda desperate for restaurants out here as the selection is limited. I’ve been back 4 times, each time bringing a friend or family member to share the yummy steakburger goodness with. The steakburgers are amazing and if you’re a local you’ll understand when I say this is what Steak and Shake burgers used to taste like back in the day. The crispy sear to juicy meat ratio is perfection. My daughters have tried both types of chicken, grilled and crispy and they were both horrible. They left them on the tray and at the bun. The fries are killer and the best in the metro area. Add a touch of their seasoning and you have perfection. That being said, the atmosphere sucks. It’s cute inside and clean but the acoustics of the building mixed with their incessant need to call out customer numbers is deafening combo. Especially when a female is calling out. It’s not nearly as grating when it’s a male voice. The low register of a males voice helps, trust me on this one. They should get permission from Freddy’s as a franchisee to NOT use the intercom system. Instead of the person who does literally nothing but call out the number and pass the tray to the guest, they should use number system and have that person PASS the trays out. The sheer number of employees standing around plus the intercom system plus the acoustics of the ceiling makes the noise level of the guests at a much higher level too. They want to be able to hear each other and must raise their voices to do so. I will be back but only as a guest passing by through the drive-thru.
