Was a customer for roughly eight years until I noticed that the stylists would rather talk to each other about random nonsense and Facebook than me or cutting my hair. If anything I wasted sympathy tip money over the years. One person in front of you really means three, I wouldn’t say don’t go here but clear up your schedule since they never have enough people on the floor and are noninformative about when you’ll be seen.

I went to Fantastic Sams yesterday so that my four year old son could get his hair cut for Christmas Portraits this weekend As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by Tina. She smiled and was very friendly. I told her that my son was the only one getting his hair cut and she took some information to put in the computer and invited him back to a chair. I followed behind and she got right to work. She asked me what I had in mind and I told her not to take too much off the top but shape it up a lot. I told her to take a bit more off the back and to even out the neckline. She did an amazing job with the cut. I am so impressed with the way she worked quickly but did not rush through the cut. The entire time she was chatting with him and asking him questions to keep him entertained. She told him that he was cute and sweet, and smart. What mom doesn’t like hearing stuff like that from strangers?! Her personality was awesome and I plan to take him back again and again to Fantastic Sams. My son actually sat more still for Tina than he has sat for anyone at The Hairy Elephant(which is a specialty salon for children). Fantastic Sams is in a strip mall that is fairly easy to get in and out of and parking is easily attained. The place is simple and clean and pleasant music is played over the speakers. The music is loud enough to hear but not something that is too loud by any stretch of the imagination. We had such a great experience, that as soon as we returned home he said, «I like the girl who cut my hair mommy». I asked him if he wants to go back to Fantastic Sams and he said yes very enthusiastically.
